Work Text:
Meeting Mon is probably the best thing to happen to me. I was able to persuade my grandmother that if I was to marry it would be a woman and I would choose her. She agreed as long as I got married which is easier said than done because I'm not even sure if Mon likes women and even if she does, if she likes me.
It was a usual day at the office until Nita arrived to make a proposal and when I rejected her, once again, instead of leaving like I thought she would, she stuck around. I was wondering for what reason until I saw her flirting with Mon from afar. I tried not to show my jealousy but I continued to listen in case I needed to intervene for Mon’s sake, of course, not because I’m jealous or anything.
I was just working on something Sam asked me to look into when this really beautiful woman started to speak with me. I wasn't sure who she was and as I said she’s pretty but not as gorgeous as Khun Sam. I've had a crush on her for as long as I remember but it got more intense when we actually met in person and she wasn't at all like the way my colleagues described her. I've only known her for about a month but that’s all it took for me to fall head over heels for her.
“Hello gorgeous, my name’s Nita but you can call me anything and your name is, sweetheart?” I was speechless. Is she flirting with me or just being nice? I think she's just being nice but I blushed regardless and I stuttered out a response.
“M-Mon my name is Mon.” she grinned at me and looked at me with amusement probably because I stuttered like an idiot. I may like Sam but I lose the ability to speak properly around pretty women.
“What a beautiful name for such a gorgeous woman,” she smirked at me while winking.
Okay, I might not know when I’m being flirted with but even I’m not that oblivious. She’s definitely flirting, oh God, don’t panic, you can speak to pretty women you’ve got this. Just say you are flattered but I’m not interested. I was about to tell her and make it clear that I wasn’t interested until Sam came over looking seriously irritated.
I couldn’t watch her flirt with Mon any longer. Clearly, Mon didn’t notice but that doesn’t mean it didn’t bother me so I stomped over to ask her to back off.
“Nita, back off, Mon isn’t interested.”
Nita looked at me and smirked and lifted her eyebrow like challenge accepted. I felt the urge to smack her, but I’m a royal, so I unfortunately can’t. I really want to smack that smirk off her face, though.
“How about we ask Mon that? Would you like to go out with me sometime?”
This bitch can’t take a hint. I really hope Mon isn’t interested because it would break my heart if she was.
“I’m flattered, but I’m not interested. I’m sorry.”
Nita’s smirk dropped into a frown. I was tempted to take it back but I’d rather not lead her on.
“Oh, that’s okay. Here’s my number if you change your mind. See ya around, beautiful, and as always, it’s lovely to see you, Khun Sam.” she grinned down at me and then winked before smirking at Sam and finally walking away.
I was standing there with a smug-ass grin because Nita was turned down for once. That doesn’t mean Mon likes me, but I’m going to ask her out just in case someone else does and she actually says yes.
“Mon, I was wondering if you’d like to go to dinner as a date because I really like you.” I immediately looked at the ground waiting for her response when I felt her tip my chin up and look me in the eyes.
“I’d love to Khun Sam.” She said yes, holy shit, keep calm, stay cool.
“Really? I’m so glad. I’ll organise everything and I’ll text you. I’d kiss you if we weren’t in front of all our colleagues,” I whispered into her ear.
Mon blushed a beautiful shade of red and I just grinned at her. I can’t believe she said yes, and it’s a little early for marriage, but she’s the one and I know I’ll marry her someday.
