Today was supposed to be a fun day for sibling bonding, until it ended in disaster.

It all started when, Raph and Mikey went out of the sewers to meet up with their human friends Casey and April.
The sun was shining, the birds were singing and nothing could go possibly wrong on this fine day.
But then they see a human walking in the same direction as them. So they hid inside a bush hopefully that person would just go away and they can meet up with their friends.
“Is he gone now Raph?” Mikey asked.
“No. But I can see April and Casey. Properly meaning that their trying to look for us.” Raph said as he sees April and Casey next to a supermarket.
They hear them having a conversation, but the two brothers was too far away to hear what they were talking about. Properly school stuffs.
Until they see the same human they nearly ran into, walking towards April and Casey, and proceeds to pull out a knife out of his pocket and points it at them.
“Give me your wallets, you assholes!” The man said.
And when they refused, he just grabs them anyways.
“Hey! That guy stole our friends’s wallets. Now how are they going to buy us pizza now?” Mikey said.
“Don’t worry little bro, let’s go after him before he gets away.” Raph said with confidence
And so they chase after him with Casey and April also spotting their turtle friends.
“Was that, Mikey and Raph?” Casey asked.
“I think so. Come on.” April replied.
So they follow their friends.
And that’s when things goes horribly wrong.

Raph really wished that he would chase after that guy alone. But because Mikey wanted to spend some time with his brother, the red banded turtle had no choice but to include him.
Since now, he was following him. But now’s not the time to focus on that, as they still need to stop that guy while they chase him through an alleyway.
Until eventually they were able to corner him. But that was their biggest mistake ever.
As when the man turned around he sees the two brothers and realises that they are not humans.
“Aaah! Ugly green mutant freaks!” The man screamed.
“Hey, we might be green and we are mutants. But we’re not ugly or a freak!” Mikey said.
Despite this, the man was still terrified of what he was seeing.
And it gets worse when Raph tried to walk towards the man.
Suddenly, he pulls a gun out of his pocket, and points it at them while holding the trigger.
“Stay away from me! Or I’ll shoot!” The man screamed again.
“Woah, woah, woah. Put the gun down! I’m sure we can talk this one through.” Raph said while backing away.
The man was still shivering in fear.
“Take one more step, and I’ll shoot you. You beast!” The man said still in fear.
“Oh so your calling me a beast huh? Well then. HOW ABOUT YOU LIKE IT IF I THROW MY SAIS AT YOUR FACE!!!” Raph yelled
But this causes the man to become more scared of him and is already about to shoot him.
And when Mikey sees that the man is close to pulling the trigger, he knew that he has to save his brother from being shot.
“Raph! Look out!’ Mikey screamed as he pushes Raph out of the way.
And then everything appeared to be moving in slow motion to him.
As when the man finally pulls the trigger….
A bullet came out of it with a bang.

Thanks to his little brother, he was unharmed rom getting shot. But for Mikey, it was unlucky.
As Raph saw that Mikey had been shot by the man.
Not through the chest.
Not through the head.
But through the heart.
His little brother was now bleeding on the floor, and it is painful to see.
“Oh no. Please don’t hurt me. Here, here are the wallets I have stolen. Just don’t kill me!” The man said as he tosses Raph the two wallets that he had stolen before running away in fear.
Huh, that was easy he thought. Now to bring them back to Casey and April right?
No. As he still needs to check on his little brother by holding him, who was still bleeding rather heavily.
And appears to also be crying.
But the thing that made Raph really worried was that Mikey was coughing up blood due to it.
oh god, this is not good. What do he do? What do he do? Leo’s the one who knows about it due to being a medic, not him.
He can’t think for a moment. That is until he sees Mikey sqeeuzing his hand.
“R-Raph?” Mikey said wearily.
“It’s ok Mikey. We’ll find some way to help you with this, just stay calm.” Raph said while still panicking.
“But I don’t want to die. I don’t want to die. I don’t want to leave you, and Leo, and Donnie and Dad.” Mikey said while crying.
The thought of dying really made his little brother upset. As no one wnats to die, especially teenagers.
Oh. If only there was some kind of miracle to help them.

Luckily during the crisis, Casey and April finally got to where Raph and Mikey is. As they also see what had happened to the orange banded turtle.
“Oh my god. What happened to him?” April asked Raph.
“He was shot in the heart by the man who took your wallets. Now’s he’s crying because he doesn’t want to die. Which is making me worried too.” Raph replied.
“Oh jeez, dude. Is he going to be ok?” Casey asked.
“Yeah, if we follow Leo’s medical steps properly.” Raph also replied.
So after he gives both Casey and April back their wallets, now its time to figure out how to keep Mikey from bleeding out.
As, wow is he getting more worse with the bullet shot in his heart.

Ok first step is uh. Try to keep the blood from seeping out of his chest. Otherwise it will get worse.
That was the first step that Raph learned. As luckily April has some bandages in her bag.
So Raph uses it to cover up the gunshot wound on Mikey.
Next step is to call for help. I think.
“Casey, April. Go and get Leo to help me with Mikey. And Donnie to take us back to the lair and get him to the Med-bay.” Raph ordered his friends.
“Ok Raph.” April agreed
“We got your back bro.” Casey also agreed
And so they run off to go get their other brothers.
Raph knew that they won’t take too long to get help. As he could always trust in them.
And once their gone, all that’s left was him and Mikey, who’s eyes were starting to go pale and his body started to become really cold.
Wait a minute? Eye’s going pale? Body becoming cold? That could only mean….
Oh no….
Raph quickly look at Mikey and realises that his condition has gone worse.
“Come on Mikey, don’t go. Fight it. Fight for your family. Fight for me.” Raph cried out to his little brother.
But it was already too late.
Mikey looked at him and smile. H knew that his time has come.
“I love you Raph.” Mikey said to him in a raspy voice.
As Raph helplessly watches as Mikey….takes his last breathe until his body stopped moving.
Meaning that he had accepted his fate.
“Mikey? Mikey?” Raph said with confusion.
He tried to shake and shake his little brother by the shoulder but he still wasn’t moving.
Crap. He’s passed out and is not breathing. Hopefully he’s not dead right?
But no.
As when Raph tried to listen to his little brother’s heart beating. He realised that…
There was none.
Mikey was now dead.
All because of him sacrificing his own life to save Raph from getting shot.

His mind was racing now. Mikey just died in his arms. He died from blood loss.
Is it too late? Did he fail?
No.
Oh hell no!
He’s not letting his brother die on him like that.
“I’m going to bring you back to the light Mikey. Just hang on.” Raph said.
He refuses to see that his little brother is now gone and that there was nothing he can do.
So he starts reviving Mikey by pounding his chest.
And all though it’s now how CPR works. He was still angry and determined to save Mikey to do that crap.
And when the pounding of the chest was over, even though he was quite unsure, he does mouth to mouth to Mikey for about 3/2 times before repeating the stuff again.
But despite all of is efforts, Mikey didn’t stirred up.
Now he was getting desperate.
As after about 3 rounds, it was clear that Mikey is not coming back. But Raph keeps going.
“Please. You gotta wake up. You gotta live for me. Your brother.” Raph pleaded.
But by the 8th round of CPR, it was hopeless.
As Raph stopped due to his hands getting tired of doing it and the fact that he might’ve broken his brother’s rib cage.
But the more important stuff is that, he just have to accept the fact that his little brother is dead.
So Raph hugs Mikey’s dead body and starts to cry.
“Mikey, if you can hear. I just want to say that. I’m sorry for all of the bad things I did to you. I really do care about you and even respect you. I didn't’ mean for all of this to happen to you, but it did. And now your gone and the team wouldn’t have you s the mascot. Just please give me another chance. And I love you. hopefully we will meet in another time.” Raph said.
And so he lays Mikey back down into the ground and starts walking out of the alleyway.
What was he going to tell his friends and brothers about this.
That Mikey was dead and that they should bury him?
But it was a harsh fact that Raph’s just gotta learn with.
That nothing will bring Mikey back from the dead…

That is until he hears some kind of gasping noises.
What? Who is making that noise? Was it his mind playing tricks with him.
But it wasn’t.
As he turns around and sees that Mikey is now gasping for air and even coughing fo it.
But how? Was it his efforts of bringing him back? Or the fact that he just wnated his baby brother.
But who cares as he is so happy that Mikey is still alive.
He waits until Mikey starts to breathe again and his vision has started to focus again.
“Raph? Did you, save me?” Mikey asked in a raspy voice.
“Mikey!’ Raph yelled. In happy tears.
Oh thank god, Mikey’s still alive!
Raph was so happy about this he hugs his little brother and sees that the bleeding has stopped.
“You actually saved me from being dead?” Mikey asked.
“Yeah, and I’m so glad that it worked.” Raph replied.
“Yeah, nothing can tear through our sibling bond. Not even the afterlife.” Mikey said in a sassy voice.
“I love you bro.” Raph said to Mikey.
“Love you too Raph.” Mikey said as he also hugs Raph.
And they continue to hug like this for 2 minutes until eventually their friends and brothers Leo and Donnie arrived to see that Mikey is ok.
But they still need to take him back to the lair to have a bullet that’s stuck in his heart out.
Which means he will have a surgery.
Despite hearing this, Raph knows that his little brother will survive due to having a strong and powerful heart. Even for a goofball like him.
And so they take him to the vehicle where Raph tells them everything about what happened and their all in shock because of it.
But he doesn’t have to worry about it since he already has his little bro back.
And when the turtles get back to the lair without Splinter seeing them, they place Mikey in the Med-bay.
But before the surgery can begin, Raph talks to Mikey for a bit.
“You sure, your going to live through it Mikey?’ Raph asked.
“Yeah, specially since you saved me bro.” Mikey replied.
“Well, be safe Mikey. I’ll be waiting for you.” Raph said.
Thanks Raphie.” Mikey said.
And so after that the surgery begins with Leo being the one to cut out a bit of Mikey’s plastron and remove the bullet out of his heart.
While Raph and the others stays and watch, as they all hope that Mikey would be alright after it.

After a few hours of waiting patiently and nervously, Leo went out of the Med-bay to tell Raph and the others the good news.
That Mikey was able to survive the surgery and now has stitches in his chest.
Raph felt relieved to hear it.
As ever since waiting during the surgery, he was worried that Mikey might die again, and that he wouldn’t be there to help it.
And so while Mikey was still asleep, Leo explained to the gang about what happened.
As it turns out that the reason why Mikey died was because of losing too much blood and that his brain crashed due to it.
Raph shivered after hearing that. Who would know having blood loss means that you could die from it.
But he was still glad that Mikey is ok.
In fact, he was given permission by Leo to visit Mikey who’s still in the medbay haven been woken up after the surgery.
And so Raph sits on a chair next to the bed that Mikey’s on. As the Orange banded turtle notices that he has stitches in his plastron.
“Don’t worry Mikey. It will go away.” Raph reassures his little brother.
“Yeah. But I want to say that, I’m sorry for scaring you back then. You were about to get shot and that was the only way to save you.” Mikey said.
“Hey, hey bud. You didn’t know what would happened. Plus that fool was a dumb as and idiot for pulling a gun at us.” Raph said.
“Yeah but you would’ve been like me if you have gotten hot by him. Dying from blood loss and having to have surgery to remove a bullet out of your heart.” Mikey said being upset.
“Look if that happened, you properly wouldve panicked like me but even worse. As your my little brother and they too young to learn what happened. But I appreciate for what you have done for me. Besides you’ll always be my little brother.” Raph said to Mikey.
“Yeah, I guess your right. I’m just glad that we’re both still alive together.” Mikey said.
“Come here, you idiot.” Raph said before he hugs Mikey again.
And seeing that his big brother would always be with him, Mikey hugs him back too.
And just like that it was a sweet and tender moment between the two brothers.
Raph hopes that nothing could go wrong once they try doing some bonding time with each other again tomorrow.
But all that matters is that he and Mikey are now safe.
And that nothing could come between them.
