Work Text:
Sei laughed lightly at her friend's joke, trying her best to seem focused and interested... but she was struggling a bit. Her mind kept drifting back to the woman from yesterday. Who was she, and why was she helping the Monsters?
“Sei? Earth to Fukuyo Sei? Do you want to come along?”
“What?”
“To the movie? Haven't you been listening?”
“Oh, um, of course, I-” She saw a woman on the other side of the road, and they locked eyes. It was the woman from yesterday! “Oh, sorry, gotta go!” she said and sprinted into an alley. Oh god, they were gonna be so suspicious! But she didn't have time for subtlety. She'd not even made it into the alley before she heard the roar of an engine. But moments later, she ducked around a corner, out of sight. She didn't waste any time.
With both hands out in front of her, grabbing invisible handlebars, she yelled “Star wheel power! HIT ZA RODO”
With a bright light, a pink motorcycle with a heart-shaped set of bars, appeared out of thin air, manifesting under her, while her clothes changed into a pink and black motorcycle suit, with fairy wings sticking out of her back and her hair growing long and black, contrasting her usual short pink hair, and poking out of the bottom of her helmet
She revved the engine, as she finished her chant “RAIDA, MOUBILU FEARI!”
She released the brakes, and flew out of the alley, taking the corners sharply, her tyres screeching, as she chased after the mysterious woman.
She weaved through the pedestrian streets, chasing after her, almost cornering her, when she dropped off a walk bridge, onto the road below, going in the wrong direction. Rider Mobile Fairy naturally followed her, but having to do a loop to do so gave the woman a head start. She landed hard onto the road, swerving a bit but quickly regaining control, and shooting after the woman, her long hair trailing behind her in the wind.
“Ganbare, Staru Wheru” she whispered to her Power-Cycle, as she pushed the engine further, to catch up.
She followed the woman relentlessly, even as she headed for the highway. As traffic speed picked up, it became harder to weave past all the cars, but she kept on the woman's tail. She drove up next to her, only for the woman to swerve her bike into her and shove her aside, just as they were coming up to a median barrier, causing the two of them to be on opposite sides of it, Rider Mobile Fairy back in the right lane.
“Why are you doing this?!? With your Power-Cycle, you should be fighting the monsters, not helping them!” she pleaded with the woman
“You don't understand! You think you know everything, don't you? But you could never understand!” the woman screamed at her, then took a hard turn, away from her, and jumped off the raised road.
She landed roughly on the ground below and sped off, while Rider Mobile Fairy had no choice but to stop at the side of the road, gripping her handlebars hard enough that the leather squeaked. But by the time she could gotten to the right side of the road, and chased after her, it would have been too late.
If only she had mastered Fairy Flight! Why couldn't she do it? She'd done it once, versus the Vespa Demon! If she could have only have done it again, she could have caught her! Why did she have to let her get away?
