Work Text:

Syringeon sighed loudly in his operating room , the harsh fluorescent lights casting stark shadows against the pristine white walls and his mind is filled with multiple questions resonating from his brain. Was the dosage the problem? Had he misjudged the fine balance required for the physiology of the Givanium patient? Or maybe it was an unexpected response buried deep within the serum he had so boldly applied. Ugh , he really needs to check it twice or even thrice to make sure of that so this wouldn't happen in the future. He recalls that the patient had been stable, their vital signs reassuringly steady as he prepared to administer the serum. But the moment it entered their system, everything went downhill shit. the scene began to rewind in his mind.

The monitor was beeping frantically and the patient was experiencing strong spasms and startling convulsions. And then after a minute or two, a clear and indelible testament to his failure, the heartbeat flatlined and there was the awful silence. "Damnit." he grumbled at the sight of his own work failure. Maybe he could have saved himself this sour taste of disappointment if he had just been more focused and methodical in his approach. Every thing created by his hands was intended to be a work of art, an idealized representation of the Givanium being. "I think I need a small break." He stepped away from the operating table , the givanium corpse still strapped on the operating table as it lays there lifelessly and the sound of the flatline beep of monitor still going. Syringeon made his way to disinfect himself as he made his way to the sink, eager to rid himself of the traces of Givanium that clung stubbornly to his skin and cleaned his surgical weapons by each so now they look shiny as brand new. In the sterile glow of the operating room, they seemed almost pristine and Sryingeon took pride of that.

He made his way downstairs and made a decision to go to the bar , a few drinks wouldn't hurt after today's surgical failure right. Maybe he needs to cool himself down for a bit , just swing there for a drink or two . As he turned into the dimly lit alleyway , His eyes landed on the massive statue of his own likeness, a monument to his dual roles as the town's respected mayor and prominent surgeon. A wave of pride filled his chest at the sight, despite his current situation. It served as a reminder of his successes and evidence of his stature inside his own city. He couldnt help but smile proudly at his own statue before passing over his own statue Finally after navigating through the streets of his city he stopped at a familiar gate, beyond which stood a building adorned with neon lights proclaiming "Restaurant BAR." The vibrant glow illuminated the surrounding darkness. The building is covered in other signs but Sryngieon didn't bother reading that as he makes his way inside of the bar.

The bar was a cozy on the inside, its warm ambiance inviting weary Givanium citizens to unwind and relax. Polished wooden floors gleamed softly under the warm glow of dimly lit lanterns, casting a comforting hue. The air was alive with soft conversation chirping everywhere and the clinking of glasses, accompanied by the occasional burst of laughter. Rows of shining bottles with labels promising a variety of combinations to satisfy every taste stood behind the neatly stocked bar. The polished bar top was adorned with a row of stools that encouraged customers to sit down and chat with the working bartender. The bartender was having a lively chat with a fellow Givanium citizen when Syringeon walked up to the busy bar. He looked up and instantly recognized the mayor. They smiled politely and acknowledged him, their acknowledgement reverberating around the room in low murmurs that soon faded back into the background noise of the pub. The bartender saw him and immediately served him his own drink of choice as if it already knew what Sryingeon wants.

Syringeon acknowledged the gesture with a grateful nod before downing the glass in one swift motion, signaling for another without hesitation. The bartender obliged without question, pouring another drink with practiced efficiency. Syringeon took his time with the second glass, savoring each sip that went down through his throat. It burns, but it burns nicely. It wasnt long until he is downed to his 8th glass and he felt lightheaded already, the effects of the alcohol began to take hold. His senses dulled, his head swimming with a pleasant haze, he was blissfully unaware of the world around him, and he felt fuzzy. "I think you had enough, Syringeon" a familiar deep voice emerged from behind and it made the surgeon jump out of surprise , he turned to find the source of the voice, only to be met with the sight of a familiar figure looming behind him—a massive black leech with his signature purple tie.

"Dadadoo...? What are you even doing here, aren't you supposed to be with the... queen?" Syringeon slurred, his words slinking lazily through the fog of intoxication. The black leech chuckled before replying, "She's doing fine. That sheriff-acting frog had been latching onto her, so I couldn't care less about the queen." He paused, a hint of concern creeping into his tone. "Besides, I think it's you that I should be concerned with. How many glasses have you had, doctor?" the surgeon audibly sighed with a heavy voice, "Uhm...Lost count after five, to be honest...who cares anyways."
"Yes, but no. Come, let's take you back to your room. If they give you more substances, I'm worried that things will get out of control." Sir Dadadoo tried to help the surgeon stand up, but he was strong in his insistence. The idea upset Syringeon, who swatted Dadadoo's hands away, saying, "Hands off, I'm not a child, Dadadoo." Syringeon resisted, but it was difficult for him to get up from his chair; he felt like the whole place was spinning on his head. Dadadoo on the other hand hummed as he watches him try to get up on his feet. "I think you're in no place to speak in that condition, Syringeon," the leech's deep voice rumbled as he effortlessly lifted the surgeon onto his shoulder. The leech's deep voice growled, "I think you're in no place to speak in that condition, Syringeon," as he skillfully pulled the surgeon onto his shoulder. With a faint squeak of disapproval, Syringeon is immediately scooped up, his stomach thudding against Dadadoo's shoulder as he awkwardly hang on his large body. Dadadoo carried Syringeon out of the bar, securing him in position with one arm securely around his waist and ignoring his complaints.

"Your complaints will be futile to me," Dadadoo said casually, keeping his walk steady as he passed the bar's Givanium Citizen curious looks. "You can complain all you want, and I won't bother anyways." Syringeon was so embarrassed that his cheeks flushed as he fought against Dadadoo's hold, begging to be set aside and telling him he could stand on his own. Notwithstanding the surgeon's objections, the black leech said nothing and maintained his firm grip while he moved Syringeon out of the bar's inquisitive gaze. They managed to leave the bar after a little struggle, with Dadadoo giving the bartender a thank-you nod and him giving him a polite nod in return. As Dadadoo waved goodbye and closed the door behind them, a nearby Givanium citizen couldn't help but comment, "Do you think they fight like a married old couple?" The bartender chuckled, nodding in agreement "Oh, definitely." Another Givanium citizen jumps in "mhm, for sure" as they both three nods in agreement.

Dadadoo navigated his way through the alleyways and eventually arriving at the location of Syringeon's office. Throughout their journey, he couldn't help but overhear Syringeon's mumbled complaints about the day's unsuccessful operation. Despite the surgeon's venting, Dadadoo remained unfazed, the words of frustration and disappointment falling on deaf ears, it's not like he really cares about it anyways.

"You sure that you'll be fine, Sryingeon?" Dadadoo finally placed him down, carefully lowering the surgeon onto his office chair. Syringeon sank into the seat, his head tilting back slightly as exhaustion washed over him, a clear sign of the alcohol's effects taking hold. "yeah, can you...pass me a glass of water" His voice grew hushed, his tiredness evident in every word. Even though he didn't actually need sleep, he couldn't resist the strong desire to close his eyes and go to sleep, even if it was just for a few quiet hours. Dadadoo made his way to give him a glass of water just like what he requested.

With a slightly shaky grip, he brings the glass of water to his lips, taking slow sips that gradually soothe the warmth and fuzziness that had enveloped him. As the cool liquid slides down his throat, a sense of relief washes over him, momentarily easing the effects of the alcohol. He drains the glass in one long gulp, exhaling audibly as he savors the refreshing feeling. Despite the visible cyan hue in his cheeks and the heaviness in his breathing, he finds himself unbothered by it. Now it's just him and Dadadoo anyways, there's no need to look professional in this situation alone—just two beings, alone in a comfortable space. "You know, thanks for the help Dadadoo," he paused briefly between his sentences. "Ahem, although our trip earlier was embarrassing on the way you carried me here, I will thank you for your effort" Syringeon's memory held up pretty well despite his drunken state. A part of him secretly admired the leech's strength, he would be totally lying if he said that he hated it. As he glanced up at Dadadoo's towering form, a faint cyan blush colored his cheeks. Though their differences in size and strength were really noticable, there was something undeniably admirable about Dadadoo, at least that's what Sryingeon thinks of him, somehow.

"Sryngeon." Dadadoo called out his name and somehow it struck a slight electric feeling to the surgeon himself.

"...yeah? Do you need my...assistance?" Sryingeon replied spontaneously as if he didn't just took a little of his time to stare down at Dadadoo's towering image.

"Are you blushing?"

...

"No?" Syringeon's voice barely rose above a mumble that question alone struck deep inside of his core like a loud bang as if someone jabbed him right to his heart. His mind raced with a whirlwind of thoughts, was he always this obvious? Is he seriously blushing? He swears that he was just admiring how strong Dadadoo is for a while and he's already blushing. He couldn't believe how quickly his emotions had betrayed him. Before he could process something even further he suddenly felt a firm hand grasp his chin, tilting his head upward to meet Dadadoo's eyeless gaze. The intensity of the black leech's stare was enough to make Syringeon's heart race even faster, his cheeks burning with embarrassment at the sudden move by Dadadoo. "Are you coming again? I didn't fully get that. The surgeon was even more embarrassed when Dadadoo's voice cut through the fog of Syringeon's thoughts. His tone was hushed with a hint of amusement. He's definitely fucking around with him. Syringeon would have vanished right away if he could have; his inner thoughts are yelling for him to make himself explode and run away.

"Don't lie to me Sryingeon" he growled deeply. Shit. It was enough to lit up a spark inside the surgeon. A desire. He would be lying if Dadadoo doesn't look hot in this scenario alone. "Uhm..." Sryingeon is now desperate to try and probably lie his way out, he's always known as a smooth talker and no one would eventually suspect or even guess his honest feeling about it but why can't he do it in this situation alone as if whenever he tries to lie and rat his way out Dadadoo would eventually find out sooner or later. "What's the matter Sryingeon? Can't use your mouth now to speak?" He chuckled deeply and his tone is pretty much leading to somewhere suggestive. "Or maybe instead of using your mouth to answer me I could use your mouth for something else?" Shit he is definitely fucking around with me, Sryingeon thought to himself. Dadadoo slowly closed the distance between them, bringing their own lips close together, the moments their lips crashed it felt as if time itself has stopped. Dadadoo's kiss was gentle yet it felt like a pang to the flustered surgeon, sending shivers straight to his core. Every contact of his lips against Sryingeon ignited a warmth that spread from the pit of his core everywhere. Everything everywhere all at once.

Just as he thought that it's going to be over he felt something soft and warm trying to slip inside and he unconsciously opened his mouth and is immediately assaulted by the soft embrace of Dadadoo's purple tongue and it caused him to let out a sharp whimper. Their own tongue dancing together with their own rhythm, it made his inside feel good. He could feel Dadadoo's tongue exploring every inch of corner of his mouth , savoring the alcohol taste. It wasn't long until Syringeon pulled away, needing to catch his breath. He looked utterly disheveled, his cheeks painted with a bright visible cyan blush, his eyelids fluttering shut as he blinked repeatedly to clear his vision. His breathing came in ragged gasps, and a stray drool escaped his lips. "What a sight," Dadadoo commented, a hint of amusement in his deep voice. "You look very pretty in this position."

Despite the shower of compliments, Syringeon found himself at a loss for words. The alcohol's effects, combined with the unexpected compliment from Dadadoo, left his mind spinning. He struggled to form a coherent response, his tongue feeling heavy and sluggish in his mouth.

"Guh—thanks... you're pretty too..." he managed to stammer out. Telling him that he's pretty to, Can he even say that? He doesn't have a clue.

Dadadoo made a sudden decision to scoop up Syringeon, causing him to yelp in surprise once again at the unexpected lift. With careful scoots, Dadadoo carried them both to a larger sofa, settling them down together. "What are you doing, Dadadoo?" Syringeon asked curiously, his brow furrowed in confusion. "We're cuddling." says the bigger leech. He placed Syringeon first, then laid down with him on the sofa, his arm encircling the smaller person in a protective embrace. Feeling Dadadoo's heartbeat beneath his ear, Syringeon tucked himself into the curve of his arm. He felt a sense of safety and protection that he had never experienced strangely. As they lay intertwined, their bodies fitting together like pieces of a puzzle, Syringeon couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort wash over him. It was a moment of quiet intimacy, two beings finding solace in each other's embrace.
