Work Text:
Get me out of hre pls, Nico texts Will. It’s under a series of texts, most of which go: help, i hate ths, why m i here.
He knows Will probably doesn’t have his phone on him - he is in New Rome currently, and won’t be using it - but he doesn’t want to Iris message him as it is, technically, a non-violent or dangerous situation and he doesn’t need actual help or set a whole army of demigods after a bunch of twenty-something year olds.
He would shadow travel himself away, give some excuse to Jason, but he has ingested quite a lot of alcohol and doesn’t trust himself to get away in one piece.
The actual situation is this - he had gone to visit Jason like the good friend he is, they went out for a few drinks with Jason’s new friend Tom - an asshole, Nico quickly decides, spending the rest of the night silently and sometimes not so silently mocking him - which has somehow turned into them going into a club, even though he knows Jason doesn’t like clubbing either. So here he is, trapped in the toilet - though even that won’t work for long with the banging on the door - hating every second of the sweaty, loud place he has been taken to.
He sat in the smoking area for a bit, which was fine, except he seemed to attract endless amounts of people asking for a cigarette and then trying to get in his pants.
“Okay, okay!” he yells, flushing the chain and getting out of the cubicle. He rolls his eyes at the guys at the sink taking some sort of substance, turns it down when they offer some. He’s not that drunk.
He is quite drunk though, he thinks, as he moves back into the overwhelming room of sound. He looks around for Jason, stumbling slightly, trying to avoid accidentally bumping into anyone or giving someone the wrong idea.
Eventually he sees blond hair and makes his way towards it. Jason is half dancing, half shouting in someone’s ear - Tom’s - and he’s - he’s -
Jason has always been attractive. Nico, as a gay man, can acknowledge this. He is also, unfortunately, exactly Nico’s type. Granted, Nico has only ever had one boyfriend - but Jason resembles Will only in appearance. He’s also less snarky, more hot headed, more generous, more caring -
No. No, Nico shakes his head, that’s not true. He loves Will. He does. He -
Jason has noticed him, coming over. He puts his hands on his hips, and for the first time that night, Nico forces himself to shut his eyes and try to dance to the god awful music that’s playing.
“Are you okay?” Jason yells in his ear, repeating it when Nico asks. He nods, watching Jason’s lips mouth the words. He’s only ever kissed one person. He wonders -
“You look pretty,” he slurs.
“What?” Jason shouts.
He does. He looks - he’s dressed differently than Nico has ever seen him. Ever since Jason discovered his bisexuality, it seems he’s started to dress ever so slightly queer. An ever so slightly cropped top. Gold eyeliner.
“You - come with me,” he grabs him, feeling dizzy with anticipation. Jason looks amazing. Jason has still got a hand around his waist.
They go back to the toilet, barging into a miraculously free stall.
“Nico,” Jason starts, “Are you oka -”
He gets cut off by Nico suddenly covering his mouth with his own. Jason instantly cups his head, responding quickly, responding firmly. They kiss urgently, grabbing onto each other.
They pull apart. “Nico,” Jason repeats. “Will.”
“I want this. Don’t you want this?” Nico bats his eyes up at him, biting his lips. He feels slightly cheap, but it’s worth it for the look in Jason’s eyes.
“You have no idea,” Jason murmurs, but Nico doesn’t reply as they come together again. It’s frantic. Desperate.
Hot.
He feels tears prick in the corner of his eyes, even as Jason lifts him up by his thighs as Nico mouths at his throat. He tastes so good, why have they not done this before -
Jason pulls away again. “We can’t. Nico, you know that we can’t do this. Not - not now.” his voice sounds vaguely sore, like it hurts to get the words out. His eyes are so, so pretty.
“Yeah,” Nico giggles deliriously. “Yeah, this is morally corrupt. Like, completely.”
Jason places him on the toilet lid, kissing his forehead once. He touches Nico’s chin, studying his face.
“I’m going to get you some water, okay? Stay here.”
“Mhm,” Nico says, suddenly feeling drowsy. He shuts his eyes. “Sounds good. Can we leave soon?”
“Yeah, of course.”
Jason stands there for a few seconds, before Nico hears the door shut after him, someone vomiting in the stall next door, and doesn’t feel anything at all.
