Chapter Text
Lyney stares at the lights reflecting on the silver wrapper on his hand, and an idea quickly pops into his mind like the explosive grin-malkin cat he uses during his combat performances.
He briefly glances towards his side, where Lumine's clear golden eyes glides across the words of the book she's holding—an object made up of merely paragraphs of words winning his own lover's undivided attention.
The magician purses his lips, hoping that the smirk he's holding back doesn't give away his intention, “Lumine?”
She hums, not batting an eye. Her lips parted slightly, face tilted towards his side in anticipation for another chocolate towards her way.
It tasted sweeter than the last.
And when she blinked, her lips felt wet and cold—pressed against Lyney's own in contrast to the growing burn from her neck up her ears.
The sensation left as quickly as they came, but the sweet taste lingers in her mouth when Lyney licks the side of his mouth.
He'd given up long ago from hiding away his signature teasing smile as they lock their gazes.
“No wonder you like them so much, ma chérie. They really do taste delightful!”
Lyney smiled gleefully, yet hides the fact that he feels slightly guilty knowing that Lumine has yet to mark the page she left off when the book fell from her hands.
