Summary
Hongjoong understood why the plants withered, the winds got colder, and the nights were darker above when Seonghwa was back with her husband. He didn’t care about any realm above or below, the mortals could waste away in the harsh winter wind, crops could waste away, the world could all but end. The moment Seonghwa was back in Hongjoong's arms, where not even the sunlight could touch her, nothing else mattered.
Summer passed on to autumn, and Seonghwa has departed to return to the Underworld. This half-year has felt more like half a century for the god who has kept the Underworld running, even with the empty space by his side and in his bed.
