I Sat In My Brother's Car

Summary:

Nicolas spends time with Lewis as he tests the car out at Silverstone. Lewis surprises his brother by allowing him to sit in his car.

Notes:

Hello all! Here is a Lewis/Nico story featuring Nicolas, the focus is mainly on Lewis and Nicolas. This story is set in 2022 near the start of the year when Lewis tests the car for the first time. In this story, Lewis and Nicolas are at Silverstone, Nicolas is supporting his brother and Lewis surprises Nicolas by allowing him to sit in his car. Nicolas then tells Nico all about his day when he has dinner with the German and Lewis later on.

Work Text:

Lewis was at the track in Silverstone for some testing. It was normal for teams to test ahead of pre-season testing in Bahrain.

Nicolas was there as well because he wanted to support his brother regardless of whether it was just testing.

Since Nicolas was in the garage, Lewis was able to show his brother about how testing days worked. Lewis went out onto the track and Nicolas watched from the garage.

Lewis and Nicolas had lunch together but after lunch, Lewis had a quiet word with his team. Nicolas was surprised when the team approached him and asked if he would like to sit in the car. The young man was over the moon and when he glanced over at his brother and saw Lewis smiling at him, he knew that Lewis was behind it.

Nicolas was excited as Lewis helped him into the car. He felt like a kid in a candy store as he sat in his brother's car. Lewis knelt down next to the car.

“Cool, right?”

Nicolas huffed.

“Lewis, this is amazing, thank you.”

Lewis looked pleased that Nicolas was so happy. Eventually, Nicolas had to get out of the car so that Lewis could carry on with testing. He didn't stop smiling for the rest of the day.

The two brothers headed to London to spend time in Lewis' apartment with Nico. Nico was smiling as he made dinner whilst Nicolas and Lewis were talking about their day in Silverstone. He loved the close bond between the two brothers.

Nicolas kept on talking about his experience in the car over dinner. Nico didn't complain, he sat quietly and listened to Nicolas ramble on about the car.

“It was amazing, Nico, I bet you're jealous that you're not racing anymore.” Said Nicolas.

Nico chuckled.

“I think you're forgetting that I've driven in the car before, Nic.”

That didn't deter Nicolas from rambling on about the car. Nico shared a look with Lewis across the table. The Brit smiled and Nico winked at him before he turned his attention back to Nicolas.
