How did this happen?
Shit shit shit shit!
I let my guard down!

I drank way too much last night! I thought I’d be fine since Ayato was with me and could take me home, but who knew that good-for-nothing brother would end up ditching me to go home with his boyfriend! O whatever god that’s above me, please tell me I didn’t lose my backdoor.

Maybe, I somehow ended up in a hotel by myself? But that doesn’t explain the fact that this room is like your typical Japanese bedroom.

All I remembered last night was that somebody took me home, but my brain couldn’t remember the small detail of who the person was!

Maybe its Yanagi? No way, he’s too small to be able to carry me. Misato? Nah, that guy’s too hung up on Ayato.

The only other person left who would’ve taken me would be Hatano.. But there’s no way that we’d be sleeping on the same bed Ahahahahhaha!!

Maybe he has a spare room in his house, which is why he willingly took me back with him as well??

While I was having my panic session, I didn't notice the bed was shuffling, and something was rising from under the covers next to me.

“What’s with all the fuss?"

Ah, shit. That voice confirmed my suspicion.

It’s him. Hatano Ryuji.

The guy who’s been pining for me for 11 years, right next to me on this bed. Shirtless.

I looked down and saw countless of marks littered on my body.

Oh god, that means I’ve lost my backdoor. I’m sorry Mom and Dad, I can’t give you guys the grandchildren you’ve wished for.

“Please tell me this isn't what I think it is.”

“E-eh? Eito? W-what are you doing h-here?”

…This is just a mistake, a one-night stand, a terrible blunder I never meant to do.

Hatano has been avoiding my gaze for some time now before he finally took the courage to look at the current state we’re in.

Our bodies exposed, covered in evidence of last night. Hatano looked like he was gonna die on the spot from how red his face was.

Honestly, I felt the same way too. I turned away from his direction, the memory from last night replaying in my head.

“Come on! Drink some more, bro!!” Misato cheered as he held a glass of beer in his hand, beckoning the drink to me. “Sorry, I’m trying to limit the amount of alcohol I drink. Maybe next time.” I declined the offer, avoiding any raising red flags that might happen if I’ve accepted it.

“Eh, really? Suit yourself.” Misato replied back, downing the beer as if it’ll leave from his hand.

Why the hell am I even here you ask?! Well, it’s all because my dear mother insisted that I should tag along on their first time drinking out since they turned into legal adults. All I wanted to do was spend my precious weekend by lazing around and playing with Miiko!

Now, I’m stuck here with these freshly out of high school graduates whom have never drank alcohol before, other than the time Ayato took the whiskey bonbons I bought and ate them all with his friends.

Who knows how they’ll act in public.

Considering what I heard from behind the door, no doubt they’ll embarrass themselves and be at risk of more unsuspecting flags. That’ll be a problem for Ayato and Toujou’s relationship, but maybe Yanagi and Misato could find their own spin-off and stop being hung up on Ayato.

Now the only problem would be Hatano. I’ll have to figure out how to reject his confession properly since he’s no longer held back by the law.
He’s been quiet since the moment I sat next to him, probably thinking of a way to bring up the confession after the party.

“Oi, nii-san, what are you busy thinking about? If you’re gonna be busy staring off into space you might as well leave and stop embarrassing me any further.” This little brother of mine, disturbing my important inner monologue.

Your big brother doesn’t even want to be here in the first place. He’d rather be off at home minding his own business and hoping he’d find a busty girl instead of a guy.

“Why don’t we make this drinking party more fun?” Huh, seems like Toujou is planning something. I of course won’t be participating in whatever challenge he plans to do. Unless it’s a ticket to that limited-edition ticket to stay in a cat hotel for 3 days and 2 nights-

“Whoever wins gets two free tickets to a cat hotel, free of charge.”

Shit. I NEED to win that TICKET.

I DON’T CARE IF IT’LL COST ME MY HEALTH, MY DIGNITY AND THE RISK OF MY BACKDOOR. I NEED THAT DAMN TICKET.

Okay, maybe the last part is a bit of a stretch just for a ticket. Since all my opponents are high schoolers who just graduated, I have a high chance of winning this with just a few drinks. Even if I ended up being black out drunk, I have Ayato to take me back home so I'm safe.

Ughh… I have no idea how long I’ve been drinking now… Can’t this damn persistent brother of mine hurry and give up already?! Toujou, Yanagi and Misato have already passed out with just a few drinks in. I don’t know and don’t care whether Hatano is still in this challenge or not…

“I give up…” Ayato slammed the glass of sake down the table. “I give up on this damn ticket…
the more I drink this…the more sick I ge- Bleurgh”

FINALLY. AFTER ALL THAT ALCOHOL I’VE DRANK MORE THAN EVER, I’VE FINALLY WON THAT TICKET I ALWAYS WANTED. I have fucking lost count of the amount of drinks I’ve had.

This is definitely gonna take a toll on my health.

But that’s a problem for future me, now I’m going to enjoy my hard-earned prized ticket!! The 3 days and 2 nights trip to the cat hotel, HERE I COMEEEE ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆~~~~!!!!! I’ll finally be able to take a break from avoiding flags left and right, and enjoy the company of cats.

Looking around my surroundings, everyone here seems to be wasted, especially Misato. That guy’s been talking in his sleep, something about stealing my brother from Toujou. Toujou has fainted alongside Yanagi and Hatano is nowhere to be seen. But eh, who cares.

Oh well, won’t hurt to drink a bit more. Even if I’m black out drunk, I believe that my brother would at least have some conscience in his dumbass brain to bring his intoxicated brother home with him. I deserve all of this after securing those tickets~!

"Excuse me sirs, we’re about to close soon. Please go to the cashier to pay before you leave.” the waitress kindly informed the group, as she gently closed the door behind.

“Is everyone ready to head out?” exclaimed Toujou to the rest of the group, glancing around the room.

“Ughhh…My head...” mumbled Misato as he wearily lifted himself up.

Some of the guys had already started feeling a bit sober, wearing their jackets as they got ready to head out.

“Hurry up already Misato! Everyone’s waiting for you!!” Ayato shouted, his hands crossing together impatiently.

“Yeah yeah I’m all ready…” He stumbled on to something and fell face flat onto the floor.

“OWWW!!! WHAT THE HELL???” Misato winced in pain from the fall, looking back at what it was he had tripped on.

His blurred vision starts to clear up as he properly takes a look at what was on the floor. Noticing the figure, Misato squints his eyes, taking a closer look.

 

“Eito?!” Misato yelped, jumping back. “The hell you doing on the floor?!”

Eito laid on the hard tatami floor, his body limp. His mouth agape, drool trailing down to his chin. He lifts his head, “Hrmmffh… must avoid… any weird men laying…in the dumpster..” As he finishes his sentence, he flops his head back on the floor.

 

The room went silent.

 

"Soooo...who's gonna be the one dragging him back home?" Yanagi asked everyone in the room, scratching his head in confusion.

“Not me.” Misato put both his hands up swiftly as he said it.

“I’m not heading home with my brother tonight.” Ayato cleared his throat.

Everyone in the room continued to argue on who would be the one to carry Eito back home. As they quarreled, Toujou, who was deep in thought, raised his head.

“Guys,” He smirked slyly, “I have an idea.”

The group turned their attention towards the blonde.

 

“Let…”

 

Everyone curiously huddles closer to Toujou.

 

“...Hatano be the one to bring him back home~!”

 

“Oh yeahhh!”

“He did say his home is just a few minutes away from here.”

“Mhmm, well that’s settled-”

“NO!!!” Ayato protested, “NO NO NO NO NOOOOOO!!!!” he flailed his arms around childishly.

 

“I REFUSE TO LET HIM TAKE MY BROTHER HOME!!”

 

Stomping on the ground, Ayato continued protesting as the rest of the group stared at him.

“It’s alright guys,” Toujou pats the distressed Ayato in the back.

“You guys head on without us. I’ll calm him down.”

As he finished talking, Toujou suddenly glanced at Hatano; who furrowed his eyebrows in response.
He nudged at him repeatedly, then winked. “Good luck.”

Hatano raised a brow, head tilting to the side. He shrugged it off and continued his internal dilemma on how he’s gonna carry his intoxicated crush back home.

Still passed out on the floor, Hatano knelt down on the floor next to Eito. As he covered their distance, he flusteredly whispered “U-um…S-sorry…” His sweaty palms hesitated, placing itself onto Eito’s back. “Please e-excuse m-me for this…”

In a huff, Hatano warily picked him up, piggybacking him. Eito groaned as Hatano’s grip on him tightened, stopping him from falling off his back.

“My prized…tickets…” he murmured. “ Mmph… Let’s…go to..”

“Hm?” Hatano hummed in response to the sleeping man in his arms.

“...the cat…hotel toget..her…soon..”

Halfway through the door, he stood there, motionless.
Deciphering the words that came out of Eito’s mouth.
Face red, head empty.

“W-w-what..?” Hatano stammered, mind numb from the words that spilled out of his long-time-crush’s lips. His head wasn't the only thing numb, his arms began to weaken along as well.

Senseless and knocked out of his mind, Eito started to slowly slip away from his grasp.

THUMP!

“..Owww…” Eito groaned in his slumber. The loud thump made Hatano snap out of his daydream, immediately noticing the man he was grasping within his arms slipped out from his hands and onto the ground.

He frantically scurried to pick Eito back into his arms.

Still fast asleep, Hatano let out a sigh of relief. He stepped out of the restaurant, this time cautiously holding the man in his grasps as they head their way to Hatano's home.

“W-wait here, I’ll..uhh..bring you a glass of water-”

Thud!

“Oww…” Hatano quietly winced in pain. Bumping over the coffee table next to him. He panickedly rushed out the room, avoiding causing any more disturbance.

Slowly creeping away from the drowsing man, he gently shut the door.

…ugghh….is he gone..?

…nahhh..maybe he’s still here…let’s close our eyes a bit longer…

…okayyyy…it’s been quite a while…there’s no footsteps from what I’m hearing…wonder what’s taking him..

 

My head hurts like hell…. how much did I even..hic..drank…???

 

…oh whatever..I’m already here anyways… might as well focus on the REAL PROBLEM.

SNEAK AWAY WHILE HES CURRENTLY DISTRACTED??? BREAK DOWN THE DOOR????

 

Lost in my thoughts, I missed the sound of the door being opened. A cough broke my train of thoughts on the possibilities of ways to get out of here.

 

Ah, right.

 

The guy who’s been madly in love with me for 11 years since the day I somehow helped to repair his broken down bicycle.

 

What a terrible act of goodwill that I had to meddle into.

 

“Ummm… hi…?”

 

“Uhhh… he-here’s a glass of…um- water.. for you ajdjdhejdv” Hatano fumbled his words up.

 

“...Thanks.” Hesitantly, I accept the glass of water. This will at least help me figure out what to do next…

 

Splash him with the glass of water he just gave me? Or do I knock him out ‘till he passes out then I start bolting towards the door? Hmmm… I like the sound of option two…

 

“Soooo…uhh..can I…umm.. confess to you..again…? “

 

*COUGH SPAT PLURGH COUGH COUGH*

 

I’M NOT READY FOR THIS.

 

“AHAHHAHAHAHAHA WHATEVER DO YOU MEAN??? Ohhh look at the time!! I should really go home and not bother you no more. MY DEAREST MOTHER IS DEFINITELY WORRIED ABOUT ME SOOOO…BYEEEE!!! “
I hurriedly try to dash out of the room but noooo he was too QUICK and stopped me from getting up off the couch.

 

DAMN HIM!!!!

Hatano pinned me down the couch and made sure that he gripped my arms tight.

CURSE THIS BOY!! Now I really can't get out now…

 

“EITO. PLEASE JUST HEAR ME. IT'S BEEN EATING ME ALIVE THE FACT THAT I CAN’T STAND BY YOUR SIDE EVERYDAY DUE TO ME BEING A HIGHSCHOOLER WHEN I JUST CONFESSED AT YOU. BUT NOW THAT WE’RE BOTH CONSENTING ADULTS SO PLEASEEE CONSIDER ME TO BE YOUR LIFETIME PARTNER!!!!” Hatano shouted with all his might, closing his eyes to avoid my utter disapproval and shock of a gaze that’s befallen on him.

 

At least be considerate to your neighbours. It’s literally 1 AM right now and I bet they have more important things to do than hearing a high-school graduate confessing their feelings in the dead of night…

 

Sighing, I racked up a response towards the nonsense he spouted.

 

“Hatano… You’re a good kid…” I can’t bear to look at him, “but you have a whole life ahead of you. Full of opportunities so why still be hung up on me? I’ll definitely be dragging you down if we do end up together…” can he take the hint now?

 

“But! Bu-but.. But..!” Hatano stuttered, finally having the courage to look at me with a dejected look on his face.

 

Seriously, does this guy not know when to give up? If my crush were to reject me multiple times I’d def-

 

“BUT I REALLY DO LOVE YOU..! A LOT!!!”

 

“BUT DO YOU REALLY LOVE ME THAT WAY??!?”

 

Hatano looked stunned.

Shit..! I didn’t mean to blurt that out! This must be the work of the BL mechanics controlling me to say this!

I mean..! It’s not like I fantasize what it’s like to actually be happy with a partner!? With all the multiple couples surrounding my everyday life, I can’t help yearning for someone to want me, understand me for who I am WITHOUT the BL mechanic being the MAIN REASON WHY THEY’RE IN LOVE WITH ME. Can’t I be a little careful of who I’ll end up with???

 

With all these thoughts spiralling inside my head, not realizing the tears that started trickling down my cheek.

..Huh? Did I really – actually – admit to myself that I do like Hatano?

 

“Eito…I I-”

“Listen.. It’s not like I dislike you that much that I keep rejecting your advances towards me…”
I can’t bear to look at him. “I just…Don’t think that you really love me in that way…” Slowly I try to loosen the grip that he has on me, hoping that by some miracle I can finally get out of here.

“JUST LISTEN TO ME PLEASE!! ” Hatano cried out, “I know that.. you kept avoiding me after my first confession to you when in my first year of highschool… That night after I confessed, I recounted the event in my head and realized I might’ve made you awkward.. So I can definitely understand why you kept avoiding me after that.. BUT I REALLY DO GENUINELY LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART AND SOUL. PLEASE EITO I’LL MAKE YOU THE HAPPIEST MAN IN THE WORLD!!!” by this point Hatano and my face are inches apart from each other, him still busy rambling about how he really loves me.

 

Fuck it… I guess you win.

 

Just this ONE TIME I’ll let the BL universe control me on this.

 

And it seems like he still hasn’t realized what I’m gonna do.

 

It’s now or never…

 

Suddenly, the words slipping out of Hatano’s mouth stopped. His body froze the moment I leaned in and pressed my lips gently against his. My breath hitched in nervousness, fearing that he might reject it.

Hatano stiffled a gasp as his hand nervously fidget, confused where he should place it. At Eito's hair? Face? Hips?

Why isn't he doing anything?! Doesn't he want me too like how I want him??!!!? DID I FUCKED THINGS UP???!!!!

OH MY GOD IS HE GONNA BREAK FROM THE KISS????!! MOM DAD AYATO I'M SCARED.

WHAT THE HELL DO I DO IF HE PUSHES ME AWAY??!!!

EVEN WORSE -- HE GETS UP AND KICKS ME OUT OF HIS HOUSE FOR PLAYING WITH HIS FEELINGS?!?!?

In the midst of my crisis, not realizing the fact that Hatano placed his hands on the side of my head and deepened our kiss. His tongue frantically slipped inside me,exploring every inch of it ensuring none of it leaves untouched. The feeling of hands slithered across my chest as he sneaked under my hoodie.

 

It felt like forever before we finally broke off and gasped for air like fish out of water. Sounds of panting can be heard loudly in the whole room.

 

“So…” Finally, I mustered up the courage to say something, anything. Hatano’s head abruptly snapped back and stared right at me. His gaze felt crushing, like he’s going to eat me alive soon.

 

“You. Me. My room. Now.”

 

That was all Hatano managed to say before dragging me to his room.
