Chapter Text
Entry 1
Today's the day. The day I venture off into the wild and leave it all behind. Well, not everything. I'm going to take Bastard of course, because who would just abandon their cat? Maybe this ain't the best idea, but it's the best one I've had all week, so I'm going with it.
Entry 2
Well, I'm here. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised at how tall the trees are, but I guess no one was ever able to articulate just how small redwoods make you feel. I don't have the best plan, but I do have a plan! Walk and walk until I'm thoroughly lost and then set up camp at dusk. Solid, right? Anyway, here we go!
Entry 3
Well, I suppose my plan was a success! I am entirely lost and I don't think I could go back even if I tried, so I suppose I succeeded. Bastard doesn't really seem to like this place though, but he'll be fine! He didn't seem to like me when I first got him, and look at us now! We are the best buds in the whole world. Now to just find some water...
Entry 4
Water acquired! Found a river, but it seems to be clean, and even has fish in it! Once I make a fishing rod I'm sure it'll be a good source of food. For now though I just need to find a place to set up camp, maybe set up a fire and bed for Bastard.
Entry 5
Well, I found a small clearing that I suppose is my new home for the foreseeable future. For now though it's pretty basic, just a sleeping bag on the ground and a small bed for Bastard. There is the rather large issue of food, but I reckon I can set up some traps and try to find a spider or two for some string.
Entry 6
For some reason, Bastard keeps hissing at the trees like they personally offended him. I mean, it seems like almost everything offends him just a little bit, but he really seems to hate the trees. Set up the traps though, so hopefully some fresh food will calm him down later. For now though I think it's time to bed. I've got a long day ahead of me, and I wouldn't want to miss anything important.
