Chapter Text
"...newest model is the UG320. It has all household capabilities that you've requested; cooking, cleaning, managing the groceries and house supplies. With the newer discovered metals, it's nearly indestructible. It's waterproof, fireproof and scratchproof. We've given it additional features we thought you might enjoy at no additional costs. The only thing we need from you Mr Ryoumen, is the preferred look you want to give the droid." Sukuna looked at the booklet in his hands, flipping through it but not really reading it. He wanted to leave already before he got more irritated. "I don't really care. Just make it look like whatever. As long as it does what it should, I have no problems."
The man clapped his hands together excitedly, making Sukuna grimace at the noise. "Perfect! I'll have it delivered to you by the end of the week with all the additional items you'll need. Measurements for clothing are included in the booklet, Mr Ryoumen. Thank you for your patronage!" The man stood when Sukuna did, since it seemed everything was finished. Great. He had to go spend more money on a robot. He sighed as he ran a hand through his hair, moving out of the office and building. Well.. it was basically going to be taking care of the house, so might as well make it comfortable for himself. He didn't need to be staring at a naked robot all day. Not that Sukuna really cared.
But, that's where Sukuna still found himself. In a clothing store. To buy the android new clothes. With a second sigh of the day, he flipped through his booklet to get the measurements and then started looking through the racks of the store. He really didn't care how the android dressed, so he was mostly throwing clothes into a cloth bag the store provides for shopping. The only thing he purposely grabbed was a red hoodie with a tiger design that looked like it was peeking out of the pocket in the front. Looking into the pocket told him the person had designed the tiger to be seen all the way through, hence the tail coming out of the other end. It was.. kind of cute. Whatever. It didn't take him all that long to buy the clothes and head home.
The week waiting for the android was slow and even a little agonizing. Sukuna didn't like doing the household chores nor cooking. More often than not, he brought home take out to throw away and barely slept on the bed to get out of changing it or making it. Honestly, Sukuna barely stayed at the house, but with the recent development of the workload he's been getting.. He's been having to do a bunch of it at home. Hence why he decided to get a robot.. at his assistant's suggestion. The night before the droid showed up, Sukuna had his assistant bring groceries to stock up the fridge for a couple weeks. He'd already prepared everything the booklet said to, once he actually read through what to prepare, and it was all sitting in the droid's room.
The thing didn't really need a room, but Sukuna already felt weird about having a person, thing, whatever walking around. Might as well play pretend that they were roommates or something. Plus, depending on the personality it came with.. giving it a room to house things might be a good idea. Not that he cared. "You decided to go with my suggestion then?" Uraume's voice snapped Sukuna from his thoughts as he sat at the counter, pad in hand as he pretended to look at work emails. He gave a disgruntled noise and a wave of a hand. "Yeah, yeah. Cooking was becoming a hassle. So were chores. I'd rather pay out the ass for something else to do it then do it myself when it's 1 am and I'm dog tired." Uraume nodded and put the last of the groceries in the cupboard. "Well. That's all the groceries. Let me know if you need anything else, boss." Sukuna gave them another noise. "Yeah, thanks, Uraume."
Juju Technologies knocked on the door the next afternoon. They had brought three boxes. One was taller, which likely held the droid while the other two were smaller but still large enough to be considered heavy. They would house extra materials needed for the droid. He didn't let the men come into the house further than the entryway. No need to have unwanted people meandering about his home; he was already about to have one. He moved everything into the spare room before unpacking. The larger of the two smaller boxes was taken out and stored at the bottom of the closet. The box read extra parts, which let Sukuna know that repairing the droid would be easy enough for himself. Good. He'd hate to have a technician come out. The second box housed two smaller boxes. One read 'Charge Packs' and the other 'Tools'. Looking in the first was 12 packs, meaning they gave him a year supply before he had to go and purchase more. Good. The tools were odd, but he figured they were likely the tools needed to go with the extra parts, to work on the droid. Both boxes stacked next to the parts box in the bottom of the closet.
Lastly, he pulled the droid from the storing box. He disconnected the connection cable and laid it on the bed. It was surprisingly lightweight, but.. that was likely due to the metal is was made of. He grabbed clothes from the closet and dressed the droid before leaving the room. He took the storing box to the garage, out of the way but still accessible incase he needed to take it back. Coming back into the spare room, he had grabbed the booklet and was reading on how to get the thing working. His hand moved to rub the back of his neck before he paused. Ah. It was by the connection port, on the back of the head in the hairline. Sukuna set the booklet on the nightstand before he leaned over the droid, knee on the bed. He reached out, fingers feeling around in the hairline before he found the port. His fingers moved enough to find the button needed, powering the droid up.
Sukuna stood back as he waited for it to power up, looking over the droid now. They'd given the thing an odd hair style, but.. Sukuna definitely thought it fit the body. A short bottom of black hair with a pink top that overgrew the bottom. Running fingers through it let him know it was soft, like actual hair. He ran his fingers down the body, seeing the skin to feel a little bit on the.. silicone side, but it was spongey enough that it could be passable as skin if no one was paying attention. He lifted the shirt he'd put on the droid, seeing what type of body they gave it. Fit, like it worked out enough to maintain a high metabolism. Good, that wasn't too bad. He let the shirt drop and his gaze moved up to the face again. He was startled a little, the eyes open on the droid now and looking to him.
A brow raised above golden honey eyes before it started lifting itself into a sitting position. "Sorry to startle you." As Sukuna stepped back, the droid stood and set a hand on it's hip. "Are you my new owner? Hi! I'm the newest UG320 model! Nice to meet you!" That grin, almost making his eyes crescents. Great. They gave it a happy, bubbly personality. Sukuna groaned, rubbing a hand down his face before turning and leaving the room. Unfortunately, the droid followed, like the obedient little puppy it was. "What's the name they gave you?" The droid chuckled lightly and moved to stand in front of Sukuna as the man sat on the couch. "As my newest owner, you are free to give me whatever name you deem acceptable."
Fuck's sake. This was going to be a very annoying purchase. Now he had to name the damn thing. He set a fist on his cheek as he leaned over and spread his legs out a little. His gaze moved up and down the droid. UG320. UG being the type of droid and the number is likely its creation date. So.. March 20th? Huh. He'll keep that in mind. UG almost sounded like a name itself; a Japanese one. He was nearly impressed, and he didn't care at all. "Alright. Register name Yuuji." The droid had been looking at Sukuna, head tilted as the man thought. A smile brightened his face again and he nodded. "Of course! Awesome! Yuuji registered as UG320's new name! Thanks, owner!" Sukuna rolled his eyes and grumbled. "My name is Sukuna. Use it. Now.. go make some food, would you? I'm starving." He waved his hand at the droid, who continued to grin and then.. if he didn't know any better, he'd had thought the fucking thing skipped to the kitchen.
