Marinette has a home she will always belong in. She will never have to leave. She will be loved.
Lila has an apartment. A bed that is a bed but not hers. It will never be a bed she truly feels safe in. And at any point there is the risk that she will never be able to go back there again. The risk of change.
Marinette will always sleep in her bed and belong.
Some nights, Lila can’t even sleep in the bed she has.
In the future, Lila will sleep in Marinette’s bed, and finally, there will be a home she belongs in.
