Disventure Camp; All-Stars; REVAMPED

Summary:

It's been a year since the second season of the hit reality show, Disventure Camp! Concluded. Now, Kristal was tasked with bringing back 18 of the season's most iconic participants for a second round. However, while it seems like the season 2 cast is all doing fine and dandy. The Season 1 cast still have some petty grudges and unresolved drama that needs to be put into order. Who of the 18 contestants of all ages and backgrounds will take home the big prize of 3 million dollars? How many friendships will be walking out of this season intact? And most importantly, how many Fan readers can I make mad in my rewrite of this All-Star season? I guess there is only one way to find out on Disventure Camp; All-Stars! Revamped

Notes:

Hello everyone, I originally was not going to make a story like this, as I find a series like this to be extremely difficult to write for given that I slowly pick off characters one by one. However, I really liked the formula and cast of stories Disventure Camp All-Stars set up. And Decided I'd give it a crack of my own in this revamped storyline and change some aspects that I think could've been handled better by the season, with some all-new storylines for the cast of 18 loveable misfits

Just to clarify, I have no malicious hatred or disgruntled feelings towards Jared, or anyone else over at Odd Nations Cartoons involved in the making of Disventure Camp; All-stars. This rewrite is purely for mine, and you guy's entertainment. I will not be claiming that this is a "Definitive." All-Stars or even claim that this will be "Better than what we got." I find that extremely disrespectful to the small group of people who worked on the show. While I may not have been satisfied with how All-stars handled its cast towards the end. I still respect everyone involved in the show and the talent they put behind it. Without it, this little story wouldn't have existed.

Some of you may be familiar with suggestions I've proclaimed for All-Stars on the subreddit, and while I won't confirm nor deny that some of them will appear. Many will not. Comments will be moderated; but I ultimately don't think they will be anything to spoil. Even I can put aside my bias for characters I adore.

Anyway! Please leave a comment or support at the end, and maybe the contestants can give you a shout out when they get eliminated.

Have an enjoyable time reading!

Chapter Text

(Ottowa, Canada)

Two women, one in an orange professional dress, the other in a faded yellow, sat on the runway in an airport. The woman in orange had black hair tied up in a ponytail and wore a black skirt. She sat cross legged on a producer's chair while her red-haired staff member with pink eyeliner, white sunglasses and brown eyes applied makeup onto her face.

“Is everything ready, Emily?” She asked.

“Oh yeah, Miss Kristal!” Emily replied.

“Gather the crew! It’s time!” As Emily began to walk away, Kristal then turned to the camera crew, headed by a young man with a black afro and glasses. Like Emily, he too wore faded yellow.

She stood up, putting on a smile. “Welcome one and all, to Disventure Camp; All-Stars! You heard that right! We’re back with 18 of your favorite…and not so favorite…competitors! We’re just about to pick each of them up from all over the world in this private jet! Once they’re all onboard, they will be flown back to Camp Tipiskaw. Where they will spend the next 8 weeks…or however long they survive. It’s been 2 years since that…interesting…first season, and 1 since our second! Imagine just what shenanigans our contestants have gotten up to.”

The camera panned as Kristal began walking over to the Jet. “Who will be competing in our biggest season yet? And, more importantly, what the hell have they been doing all this time? Only one way to find out! Right here! Right now! On Disventure Camp; All-Stars!”

A young boy with dark blue hair tied into a short ponytail at the back of his head nervously approached the private jet on the runway. He shuffled his feet nervously as he and his “friend” awaited their cue from Kristal. Two years had passed since either of them had been on this show, so they were surprised to have received a call to come back. He wore a pink and black hoodie with a white undershirt and black shorts.

“Don’t fret yourself too much with all that nonsense.” He looked over at Miriam, who had previously won the season they competed on. Despite being a 75 year old lady, Miriam was a very tough competitor who had helped him in his time on the show, and taken him in when his parents gave him the boot. He should count himself lucky to have befriended her when he did, especially since the two had gotten off to a rough start. But, being the grandson Miriam never got to have given him a bit of comfort.

The two of them noted the signal Kristal gave and began to walk over.

“Here comes our favorite Granny and Grandson Duo; Jake and Miriam!” She gave them a sly grin. “Are you two ready for All-Stars?”

“Hi Kristal!” Jake replied, nervously. “You sure bet we’re excited…Right Miriam?” God, that sounded so fake.

“Absolutely! I’m ready to collect another million!”

“I must say, back in the producers lounge, we were concerned about calling for you to come back.” Kristal replied, “It has been 2 years since you competed through some…less than legal means. Despite being the winner for All-Stars basically necessitating your return, we were concerned your age had caught up to you.”

“Nonsense,” Miriam replied, shaking her head. “Everyone said the exact same thing last time, and look who outlasted them, I didn’t even receive a single vote at any elimination ceremony! There is absolutely no age limit for adventure.”

“Fair enough, the producers and fans will be quite pleased to have you back. Go on in, the fun is just getting started.”

The two of them made their way up onto the plane, Jake was quick to note the fact that there were exactly 18 seats, he didn’t know who from each season was selected or agreed to return. But considering what Kristal had just said, he had a pretty good guess, at least on the ones from their season.

He took the seat next to Miriam and uncomfortably rubbed his arm. “Hey, Miriam, are you sure about this? If you’re not, we can still leave, it’s not too late!”

Miriam gave him a side-eyed glare. “Of course I’m sure, Jake. I wouldn’t have agreed to come back if it was a liability for me.”

“It’s just…I’m worried.”

“Have you lost your damn mind dear? I didn’t drag my geriatric ass out here just so we can turn back!”

Jake just chuckled nervously. As he thought back to that interview they, and likely the rest of the contestants, did before coming.

“Hello Miriam!” Emily said, “Our viewers have just been dying to know! What did you do with the million you won from your season!”

“I bought a house on the beach.” Miriam replied. “Then, with what was left, I helped Jake move out of his parent’s house. Those young millennials could learn from investing and planning where even a millionaire like myself can help a friend get back on their feet?”

“Ah? You don’t live with your parents anymore, Jake?” Emily asked, directing her head at him.

“No…not anymore.” Jake replied. “They aren’t exactly the most understanding people, and I'd prefer to distance myself from them for a while.”

“Our audience absolutely LOVED the relationship you two shared last season! Based on what you’re saying…it sounds like you two keep in touch?”

“All the time!” Jake replied. “We’re practically neighbors, and we even took a trip together last month before we got the call! Though…we had to cut it short.”

“Oh…why’s that?”

“None of your beeswax missy!”

“It’s fine, Miriam, you just got a little sick, and a few back problems.” Jake replied.

“Ah…does it bother you to talk about your vulnerabilities, Miriam?”

“Next question, or I walk.” Miriam replied harshly. “Think about what that’ll do for your ratings if the beloved Season 1 winner doesn’t show up to All-Stars.”

Emily recoiled slightly as Jake fought down a chuckle. Before the lady directed her attention to him. “So, Jake, we’ve went through this entire interview, “Jake, it’s been this entire interview, and our audience has wondered, why haven’t you mentioned Tom! You two were the popular lovers in your season.”

He recoiled slightly at the question himself. “Next question.” He replied bitterly.

“Emily, if you have insider knowledge, why don’t you tell Jake what happened to Tom?”

“What?!” He flinched. “Why would I care what happened to him?!”

“Oh brother…” He heard Miriam whisper.

“Here come our two emerging love birds of Season 2! Ally and Hunter!

Another boy and girl, this time of age closer to Jake walked up. Well…more like the girl sprinted up while the boy walked slowly behind her.

Ally had her long brown hair tied up into a ponytail, and wore a white shirt with an 8-bit video game creature and tight leggings. While Hunter, with his slick black hair, gray attire, and skull necklace looked much more calm and collected than she did.

“Hurry, Hunter! We’re gonna be late!” Ally panted, as she stopped in front of Kristal.

“That would be an understatement.” Kristal replied, crossing her arms. “Be lucky we have to pick up 5 contestants, and you two carried important relationship drama from last season. Otherwise we would’ve left you.”

“That was my bad…” Hunter replied. “I got a bit caught up grabbing everything for Ally.”

“Ah, is that so?” Kristal giggled. “Well, I’m sorry to say, but you two really should learn to read your contracts. You won’t be bringing your little electronic devices this time! So hand over your Nintendo Switches.”

Hunter inwardly groaned as Ally seemed to flinch. All that time he’d spent gathering the Nintendo switches, and additional batteries had gone to waste for Ally.”

“This season, we wanted to ensure none of you have contact with the outside world!” Kristal snarked at them. “After all the…drama…that ensued.”

“But…What about…”

“Our staff will ensure your belongings are sent to the losers' motel, now shut it and get on the plane.” Kristal crossed her arms.

The two of them climbed up the stairs and located the seats marked for them. Spotting Jake and Miriam, who they recognized from watching their season.

“Jake! Miriam!” Hunter said cheerfully. “It’s a pleasure to meet you both in person.”

“The pleasure is ours as well.” Jake replied, giving the boy a smile. “You both were Miriam’s favorites when we watched your season. It’s a shame what Riya did to you right at the end, man.”

“Yeah, well, that’s all in the past.” Ally replied.

“Wasn’t there another one of you?” Miriam replied. “You were a trio! The other girl…I forgot her name? You three were quite close, I honestly thought you had become a polycule.”

“No, Tess went to New York to study. We haven’t seen her in months. Though, she did tell us she had also been selected for the show, so I’m sure we’ll see her soon as well!” Hunter noticed Jake flinched at those words.

“Did…did you say New York?” He asked. Miriam also seemed to note his concern. “Oh boy…that can only mean…she’s back too.”

“So, Ally, how have you been dealing with all those haters!” Emily asked.

“What? My fans? They’re great! I love all my fans! But…those haters…I could do without.”

“Yeah, they became more rampant after Season 2.” Hunter replied. “Didn’t help when Ally and I went public. Those people who loved us with Tess never seemed to quiet down on her streams. And the moderators have been…difficult.”

“Well, I’m sure you all being back together again will make those haters die down!” Emily winked.

Kristal checked her watch, annoyed, before she heard heavy footsteps. She looked up as another man sprinted up to her. He had a bunch of scars across his face, and messy black hair with turquoise eyes. He wore a navy hoodie and brown overcoat and blue cargo pants. The man skidded to a halt in front of her.

“Finally.” She grunted. “Jake’s ex-boyfriend and also ex-secret agent, Tom! Now, what took you so long?! Aren’t spies supposed to be…fast?”

“Sorry! Met a familiar face at TSA. We were officers in training together an-”

"Did I ask?" Kristal snapped.

"Uh...Yeah..." Tom muttered.

“Just get on the damn plane! We’re behind schedule!”

Tom shifted uncomfortably, the hosts of his season were admittedly not as good of people as Kristal was, but that was a whole different can of worms.

He boarded the plane, spying two unfamiliar faces sitting on the right side, and, as he approached his seat,

“Oh?! Tom!” He nervously shuddered as Jake’s voice entered his ear. “Um…I…how have you been?”

“A call to ask how we were doing wouldn’t have hurt, you know?” Miriam crossed her arms.

“Sorry.” Tom rubbed his head. “My mind’s been occupied with work and…other matters…but we’ll talk later.”

“So, Tom, it’s been 2 years since you’ve last competed on this show.” Emily crossed her arms as she held him in the booth. “Doesn’t seem like you and Jake have been keeping up despite your promise at the end of the season.”

He shifted uncomfortably. “What happened between me and Jake is private.” He looked over at the camera. "No more questions."

(New York City, New York)

Two girls sat uncomfortably in the waiting room of the airport. The girl on the left had pale skin and short red hair, tied into a bun. She wore a grey button-up designer vest and blue undershirt with a short turquoise shirt, and black and white knee high socks.

“Are you okay, Ellie? You seem a little down!” She turned to her girlfriend Gabby, a dark-skinned Polish girl with brown hair and a red bow tied into it. Gabby also wore a red sweater and dark blue leggings.

“It just feels…strange…going back to where it all began.” Ellie replied.

“Good strange…or bad strange?” Gabby asked. Placing a hand on her shoulder.

“A mixture of both. I mean, it’s where I met you, after all.” Ellie smiled. “But, those bad memories keep coming back.”

“Don’t worry.” Gabby gave an evil smile, “I’m sure this’ll be our year to shine! You got to the finale last time! And you can do it again!”

Ellie smiled,

“Hi! The plane hasn’t arrived yet? I thought I was late?” Ellie looked up as another girl greeted them. She had black hair tied into a bun, with two side braids going down her sides. She had silver eyes and gray lipstick, she wore a white undershirt below her black crop top and skirt, with an orange sweater wrapped around her waist and pale black tights that slightly exposed her legs.

“Not yet, it seems they’re a little late.” Ellie replied, noting Gabby’s confused look. “I assume you got my text.”

“No, I was stuck in New York's LOVELY Traffic.” the girl responded sarcastically.

“Oh my gosh, is that Tess from Season 2?” Gabby gasped. “Ellie! You never told me you knew each other.”

“Did I?” Ellie facepalmed to herself, how could she have forgotten? Especially with how big of fan Gabby was of hers since they watched Tess’ season. “Sorry Gabs, yeah, we actually study at the same university. I met her at orientation…I can’t believe I forgot to tell you.”

“That’s alright; Ellie!”

“Nice to meet you, Gabby.” Tess replied. “Ellie might have forgotten to mention me to you, but she never stopped talking about you. You make for such a nice couple. It’s uncommon for that to come out of a trashy reality show, especially one done under the circumstances yours was.”

Ellie blushed as they heard the dings of the airport, alerting them that a plane would be arriving.

“Looks like they’re here.” Ellie sighed. “Let’s get this over with.”

After going through the awful TSA and getting cleared, the three girls boarded the plane. Where Tess immediately spotted Hunter and Ally as the two stood up.

“Ally! Hunter! Where has the time gone?”

“Aww Samesies!” Ally replied as she and Hunter hugged her.

“How have you been, Tess?”

“Can’t complain.”

“Tell us, Tess, what is your main motivation for returning to Disventure Camp.” Emily asked.

“To tell you the truth, I just came to spend more time with Ally and Hunter.” she replied. “I haven’t seen them in months. Returning to play again to relieve the days we first met could be fun.”

“Ah,” Emily gave an evil grin. “So you’re not at all bothered with third wheeling the love birds?”

“Of course not, I was the one who gave Ally the push to confront Hunter and go public. So I’m more than happy for them. Though, I did hear through the grapevine that they seem to have problems with haters. Hopefully I’ll be able to help with that.”

“Man, no dirt.” Emily muttered.

As Ellie and Gabby looked over as Tess sat down, they were quick to notice who the only contestants from their season on the plane. Gabby looked at her nervously as Ellie looked at the firm glares the three of them gave her.

“Um…hello?” She asked. “Is no one gonna greet me?”

“Why the hell should we?” Miriam asked.

“I could forgive the emotional damage you caused Jake and I by lying about cheating when we had a good thing going.” Tom snarled. “But those after game interviews?”

“Oh please, you’re still mad about that?” Ellie shook her head.

“How can we not be? You dragged us all on live television.”

“I needed the money for Fashion School.” Ellie replied, narrowing her eyes. “They wanted me to insult all of you, besides, I didn’t just do it to you, I bad-mouthed everyone except Gabby. Some of us don’t have the luxury of money like you guys do! Especially when I have to work to pay off school, and help Gabby, you know she can’t exactly hold a job of her own.”

The three of them didn’t exactly show any sympathy in that regard, not that she was particularly surprised given how they were.

“Whatever, you can hold your grudges the same way I held mine.” Ellie scoffed. “Let’s go Gabby.”

“Ellie, we have insider info that your fellow competitors are not so happy about what you said in your post-game interviews. How do you feel about that?” Emily asked.

“It’s been almost two years.” she replied to Emily as Gabby looked at her. “It’s time for them to get over it, besides, I didn’t say anything THAT bad.”

Emily slyly grinned as she pointed to a camera. Which began to play various clips of her.

“I heard Tom still ignores Jake’s calls! Can you blame him? Dealing with Jake should count as community service, you saw how much of a crybaby he was! And Tom’s no better, he’s a complete idiot? What moron goes on International TV as a spy.”

“Miriam didn’t deserve to win. I mean, you all saw what she did to me, faking her own death just to test my sympathy, because she knew she couldn’t beat me fairly? We both fell for that demon child’s tricks and I was willing to drop everything to save her and let that freak show win! She’s twisted, if it happens again, I’m sure no one would be surprised if I let her go towards the light.”

“My original purple team was a disaster. Not only did they vote out Gabby immediately because she bad mouthed that rich douche, but they were all complete morons to not see the Demon Child’s true nature immediately. Ashley was the biggest fool of them. Alec and I knew from the start. But I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, Ashley lives on a farm in southern Texas, her intelligence must match her home life.”

“Grett might be, quite honestly, the worst person I’ve ever met! And I was on a team with a literal Demon Child who crawled out of hell! I’ve heard she’s flipped things around recently, but I’m sure that’s all an act. Especially if the rumors of who she’s dating are true.”

“Alec literally told that demon child that he wished his son was more like her? I mean who DOES THAT? First off, his standards for children are alarming if the demonic six year old is what you want. And second, I don’t blame your wife for leaving you and taking the son. You deserve it after all the shit you and the demon child put me through!”

“The Demon Child?! Please, why should I care about her? I mean, you all saw that season? That’s not a child, that’s a psychopath in the making. I only worked with her because I wasn’t going to get in with Ashley’s alliance, and I needed that money badly. Not making the same mistake twice. Not that I need to worry, she wasn’t even on the cast list.”

“Er…maybe you went a little overboard.” Gabby said, placing a hand on her shoulder as she looked back at those interviews.

She twiddled her thumbs for a bit before shrugging. “Well, you know we needed the money from those interviews.” she replied to Gabby. “If we want to continue to be together, we’re going to need the money. Besides, you know those people too, it’s not like what I said wasn’t true. It’s harsh, but they all need to hear it, especially Jake.”

(Hollywood, California)

A fifty-five year old man with sleek gray hair and a nice beard walked up the red-carpet runway of the private air point. He wore a red collared shirt and brown cargo shorts. He looked around, before he spotted her.

Joining him was his lovely girlfriend, Riya, a 32-year-old Indian Actress. She wore a nice fur coat and had her brown hair nicely made up for her appearance, always ready for a camera. Her designer boots and short red pants, with the diamond necklace he bought her complemented the beauty she emitted wherever she went. Man, he was lucky as he flashed his gold tooth in a smile at her.

“Hey Riya, you look great today as always!” He said.

“I know.” Riya replied, brushing her hair aside.

“By the way, we need to talk about what you said on TV.”

“Oh come on, Connor.” She replied. “I just told all the fans what they want to hear. You know I’ve got a reputation to uphold coming back to this season as the villain. You know I still love you.”

“I know; but, it still hurts.”

“Riya! Riya!” She looked down at the group of interviewers. “Tell us, we’ve heard rumors of a new season of Disventure Camp! Are you participating again, and if so, do you plan to play differently from last time?”

“Yes to both questions.” She replied. “I’ve already received the call! I was the first person they asked to come back from my season! I may not have won! But it shows how much they value having a big name like myself around if they called me back before the winner!”

“Do you have any regrets from last season? Specifically about your relationships.”

“I regret nothing I did, not to Lake, not James, not to Rosa.” She replied. “My only mistake was choosing Connor as a helper in the finale.”

There were gasps amongst the crowd.

“Oh don’t gasp yourself, you know it's true. Karol was a far stronger competitor. And even though that racist asshole, Yul, hated me, he would’ve been more useful than Connor.”

“Hey hey! Cool Cats! How’s it going!” Connor asked as he and Riya entered the plane.

“Connor, my man.” Hunter walked up to him and fist bumped him. “Glad you’re here. I would’ve thought you wouldn’t be able to qualify.”

“Hehe, Yeah I thought so too, but when the producers heard Rosa couldn’t come back, they decided to get me instead, Riya put in a request for it.”

“Move aside.” Riya pushed past the two of them and began her strut down the aisle before she stopped at Gabby and Ellie.

“Oh my gosh! Riya!” Gabby cheered, making her wince, the girl had that…commoner squeaky voice she despised in fans. “I’m a huge fan! I just watched Black Widow’s Gambit! You were amazing. Congrats on the Emmy award!

“It should’ve come sooner, but I'll accept it from those hacks at the academy.”

“Riya, you’ve been the talk of the town ever since your appearance on Disventure Camp. It’s impressive how you’ve grown in Hollywood since then.”

“I guess people finally recognized my talent.” Riya replied, as Connor gave her a satisfied look. “After the show, my current producer, Reynold Chaddington, was able to get me on a bunch of network dramas, and I quickly became the villain of TV. Going evil was the best decision I’ve made for my career, you should see all the haters complaining about how I ‘robbed’ all those suckers in my season.”

“Connor, what do you think of Riya’s little personality online?”

“Though it’s a bit harsh. I’m happy Riya was able to get so accomplished on her own.”

“Ah, the internet’s been dying to know what happened? Are you two a couple?”

“It’s a bit complicated, but yes.” Connor replied. Ignoring Riya’s seeming discomfort at the question. “As you heard, RIya’s been busy shooting film after film, and I’ve been busy improving my perfume company. So we’re hoping this All-star thing could be good opportunity for us.”

“I see,” Emily replied. “How do you feel about currently being the lowest ranked contestant in All-stars? Fans seemed pretty angry when you were the last one selected. After all, you only lasted 3 episodes of season 2, and voluntarily quit the game.”

“Well, circumstances lead to them grabbing me. Besides; ya’ll can see how good I can be when I’m serious, after all, Miriam is much older and she pulled it off.”

(Somewhere in Texas)

The plane landed in the middle of a large farm, making a young looking cowgirl flinch. The girl had long blonde hair tied into pigtails as she wore her cowboy hat. She had a blue tank top and brown leather shorts.

Her boyfriend from the season before, Will, a strong dark skinned man placed a hand on her shoulder as she looked at the private plane concerned.

“At least they didn’t land in the cornfield…or…destroy the animals.”

“Have fun Ash, kick some ass sweetie.” Will placed a kiss on her cheek as she went to the plane.”

“Howdy ya’ll! I’m back!” Ashley cheered.

She was not met with any applause, but she did note Ellie giving her a sincere smile.

“Finally, someone who’s not holding grudges.”

“Darn tootin! I mean, don’t get me wrong, what you said hurt, Ellie…”

“It wasn’t hurtful, it was literal slander!” Tom yelled from the back.

“Whatever, it’s water under the bridge.” Ashley replied. “Besides, what you did could never be worse than what that freaky demon child did. I’m glad she’s not back.”

“So, Ashley,” Emily said. “It’s nice to get you into the booth for this Interview.”

“Aw shucks, don’t make me blush.” Ashley replied to the woman. “I’m glad they wanted me back!”

“I’m glad, but don't you feel a little nervous coming into the game? After Dan, you’re the only contestant who didn't merge.”

“As long as the demon child ain’t here. I’ll be fine.” Ashley replied.

(Mexico City, Mexico)

A young German girl in a navy sweater and black shorts. waited anxiously next to her young teen mom friend, Rosa, a fair skinned mexican with dark violet hair, a green crop top and blue jeans. She held onto her daughter Sofia, who looked just like her.

As the plane landed, she turned to her friend and her daughter, brushing some hair out of her red wig. “Adios girls! I’ll see you when I get back.”

“Good luck Aunty-Lake!” Sofia squeaked.

“Be careful who you trust this time, Lake.” Rosa replied.

“I’m sorry you can’t participate this time Rosa. It’ll be hard dealing with Riya.”

“I know but I couldn’t leave Sofia again. You will represent us both. And do me a favor, kick Yul in the nuts.”

Lake giggled as she hugged Rosa goodbye and walked on the plane.

“Tess! How’s it going!”

“Hey Lake. A little busy with my arts courses, but otherwise just excited for this mini vacation.”

“Lake! Nice to finally meet you!” she looked at the boy she recognized as Jake from Season 1, “I read one of your books! The one about the prince and knight! I absolutely loved it.”

“The pleasure is mine, though it wouldn’t have been as successful without Tess’ illustrations!”

“Lake, first of all I must congratulate you on the award winning novel, especially at such a young age. Only 18.”

“Oh, it’s nothing.” She replied to Emily.

“I see, you were the fan favorite of your season, after Tess of course, fans were heartbroken to see you get eliminated the way you did, do you feel any…hatred…towards Riya?”

“Not at all,” Lake replied. “Rosa and I are…hurt from what Riya did, and we never got the apology, but we both believe in forgiveness to her.”

Emily didn’t look too happy about that.

(Rio, Brazil).

The plane landed in the airport as two more young men walked on. The first being a dark skinned man with a bushy head of hai black hair, yellow t-shirt, and tight black pants and a nose ring. The second, being a dyed parted hair of white and black, bright green eyes, and a red canadian sweater and striped longsleeve shirt.

The red sweatered boy looked over at Lake. “Is that award winning author Lake Müller?”

“Aiden! James!” Lake ran up to them and embraced them in a hug. “Rosa and Sofia told me to say hello to you for them!”

“Aww, how sweet of her.”

“Once this is over, we’ll all go on a trip.” James pulled Lake close. “Reunion Selfie for our fans!”

Upon taking it, the three made their way to the back of plane, though, Aiden and James took a moment to give Riya a dirty look.

“What do you jerks wants?” Riya shook her head.

“I can’t believe these producers brought your insane self back.” Aiden grunted. “I’m still waiting for an apology for you almost letting me DIE !”

“Keep waiting, bitch.” Riya replied smugly.

“James, Aiden, you might as well both be considered the winners since James won.” Emily replied.

“Yeah, well, we’re doing it fine.” James replied. “Letting the whole world see us travel together after all the drama in our season shows how much we’ve grown. You know Aiden loves to travel, we were in Brazil to visit my sister, and I bought her a new car.”

“Ugh, you season 2 kids that aren’t Riya are so boring. The season 1 contestants are so much better.” Emily grunted.

“Aiden, do you still have a grudge against James for what he did to you in season 2. Using him to gain followers because you were…well…”

“That’s not important.” Aiden crossed his arms. “Besides, I acted rash watching those episodes after he stopped back. We’ve talked it over, and we’re good. My Hubby is Vewwy Sowwy.” James smiled at him.

“I hate these boring contestants.” Emily muttered under her breath.

(London, England)

A fair skinned turkish man with a white collared shirt and brown pants annoyingly tapped his watch as he looked down. “I already regret coming back here.” He grumbled, adjusting his glasses. “But, I need the money.”

“Alec?” He looked up, shocked as he saw a younger lady with chocolate brown hair tied into a fashion ponytail walk towards him. He remembered her from his time on the show, and boy, 2 years sure did a number to her, having slimmed down so much more than the last time he’d seen her.

“Grett…wow…” he said. “You uh…look so different.”

“Thank you…I guess?” Grett said, uncomfortably. “I’ve been working on myself, both inside and out since we last saw each other.”

“I guess the rumors are true…didn’t believe it myself when I saw Ellie’s interview.”

“I made some…mistakes…last season.” Grett replied.

“Trust me…we all did thanks to…her.” Alec replied.

“But this time, it’s a chance to end the game on a less sour note.”

“So, what you said on Twitter was true.” Alec asked. “You really regret everything you did.”

“I’d be surprised if you didn’t feel the same way.” Grett replied, placing a hand on her hip. “We both should’ve seen how obnoxious and annoying we both were parading around that little demon child. But, yes, I did exaggerate just a bit on social media. How else was I going to sell those online courses on personal acceptance and my new Vitamin supplement.”

“Well…I appreciate the honesty.” Alec rubbed the back of his head.

They both watched as the jet soared overhead. Making both of them briefly drop their suitcases.

“A private jet? Since when do they have the budget for that? I would’ve thought they spent it all getting that evil actress back with how little they paid me to come back.”

“Alec, it’s been two years, and you’ve been by far the most silent of your original cast members that we are legally allowed to talk about. What made you come back?”

“Money.” he replied to Emily. “And you’ve missed nothing about my life. I’m just not as fond of the cameras like the other losers.”

“Oh I wouldn’t be too sure about that.” Emily replied cheekily. “You sound like you could really use the money if what Ellie said about your wife and son are true.”

“Do you have anything else you’d like to talk about?” he grunted.

“Yes, fans were quite in love with your dynamic with the demon child, and her heartbroken about the things you said to that little girl on TV. Do you regret anything you said to such a broken child as a former father?”

His eyes twitched at the question. Truthfully, despite what that demon child from hell had put him through, he did regret just a few of the things he’d said to her. Especially when he probably could’ve convinced her to split the money with him had he just helped her in the finale, and she won. It wasn’t worth blaming her for his failures.

“No comment on her.” Alec crossed his arms. “I don’t know why those fans are so obsessed about the dynamic that I, a grown man, shared with a 6 year old girl. Those people are weird.”

Alec and Grett both walked onto the plane, and while the cast members from Season 2 didn’t say anything, they both spotted the dirty glares from the members of their season.

“Ooh, tension already.” Kristal replied. “Alright, next destina-”

“Wait, you forgot someone.” Grett stopped her. “Yul is in town for business, but, he told me he’s running late.”

“Wait…how do you know Yul?” She looked over at Connor.

“Uh…do you…not know?” James asked smoothly.

They all turned their heads as a young Korean man entered the plane. He had a very angry face and messy black hair. His toned body and…rather spicy abs highlighted by his flaming crop top shirt and blue jeans.

“Ugh finally.” The man spoke in a voice that just made you want to punch the shit out of him. “A dumbass marching band blocked our exit for 5 minutes. I would’ve had the driver run their asses over if I wasn’t so concerned about getting in trouble.”

“Yul! Hello Baby!” Grett cheered as she ran towards him.

“Wait…baby?!” Hunter asked, in disbelief.

Grett embraced the man as the two shared a very uncomfortably long kiss. Much to the shock of everyone on the plane.

“What…was that?” Ally asked dumbfoundedly.

“Grett, many of us fans who follow you after a while have been wondering how you and Yul met.”

“Oh, it’s quite the story.” She replied to Emily. “His manager introduced us during a brand deal, and we really hit it off, he’s been my spicy abed boyfriend ever since. Makes what’s left of his fans from this show quite jealous.”

“I’m surprised you were willing to go through with that given how much of a liability Yul was in his season? How’d you make it work?”

“Oh it was easy. Much like Riya, the Yul you saw back then is completely different from the one in private with me.” Grett giggled. “Besides, Yul’s…problematic…behavior was more so the result of his old manager. The real Yul you’ll see is quite the saint compared to that demon child from my season. Unlike her, we all deserve a chance to change.”

“I noticed, especially your body and weight have changed a bit since last season. Was the result of toxic fans bullying you?”

“Is that supposed to be professional, I ought to have you fired!”

“That’s right, losers, Grett’s my girlfriend!” Yul replied smugly.

“Girlfriend?” Riya shot back. “Aren’t you Gay?”

“Not gonna lie dude, I thought you were gay too.” Jake replied.

Yul’s eye twitched as the rest of the plane seemed to nodded in agreement.

“Don’t you lump me in with that disgusting crowd! I’ll have you know that-” Yul was cut off as his phone began to ring.

“Ugh, what?” He picked up the phone, silent for a few moments. “Seriously?! I can’t say that?! Why the fuck-” more silence, before he hung up.

“Excuse me, what I meant to say was, I do not belong to the LGBTIKZ community. But if I did, there would be absolutely nothing wrong with that! Sorry to all my fans of that community, but I’m straight like an arrow.”

“Yul! Okay, so we didn’t hear from you since your appearance in the finale of last season! But all of a sudden, you and Grett came out of nowhere as a spotlight couple? I gotta know everything.”

“After my season, I had some trouble finding new dance contracts. I blame my old manager honestly. He made me look like an idiot on international television.”

“Really? Those racist comments you made about Rosa and her daughter sure seemed quite genuine.”

“Fake news.” Yul replied. “I only said the things my manager advised me to say. I was still new to the western hemisphere after all, I guess I just picked my choices wrong. I fired him the moment I left and got a new one who helped me clean up my image. So no biggie.”

“Do you really expect those people to believe you’ve changed?”

“Oh don’t you worry I’m back to show everyone who I really am!” Yul replied.

(Vatican City, Catholic School)

A young girl around the age of eight gumbled as she wrote her hundredth sentence on the blackboard while an old nun watched her sternly. Boy did she hate being locked up in the prison of a school. If she had just won that money last season…

Her ears perked up as she heard a plane fly overhead. Now was her chance.

The nun also heard it as she took her eyes off her. “A plane? Here?”

The young girl grabbed a nearby book and flung it at the nun. Knocking her off balance as she grabbed her backpack and jumped out the open window.

She quickly made her way out of the school grounds, as the nun chased after her towards the plane.

She was stopped by Kristal as the nun walked up to her. “Thank you for stopping this little brat-”

“Unfortunately, she’ll be coming with us.” Kristal replied to the nun.

“I can’t allow that, I’ll call the police.”

Kristal smiled as she pulled out a fat stack of cash. “Quiet, and it’s all yours.”

The nun looked between her and Kristal, before pocketing it. “I didn’t see nothin.”

“Wait a second…” Lake glanced outside. “Why are we at the Vatican? I thought the 18th contestant lived elsewhere.”

The season 2 cast looked on as their season 1 newbies looked horrified at the sound of being at the Vatican.

“Wait…where did you say we were?” Miriam sputtered.

“The Vatican…you know…the home of the catholic church and one of the biggest Christian boarding schools around?”

“If we’re here then…” Jake said, placing a hand on his head. “Oh no…don’t tell me…”

“They wouldn’t have actually…surely not?” Gabby asked, shivering as Ellie placed a hand on her shoulder.

“Yes they absolutely would…” Alec groaned.

The season 2 cast looked, and only a few of them looked shocked, some confused, as the 8-year-old girl stepped into the plane. She wore yellow vest and blue cargo shorts, with her brown ponytail tied up, but a bit disheveled.

“I can’t believe they’d do this to us!” Tom groaned as he shook his head.

"They even went as far as to lie to us on the casting call that she was back. Probably because they knew none of us would sign up if she was." Ellie muttered.

“Is this even legal?” Ashley asked as the girl nonchalantly walked down the aisle.

Yul was the first to say anything from the Season 2, despite Grett's concerned look, cast as the girl gave them all a bored look, not even bothering to ask for a hello, or anything.

“That’s…That’s a child…”

“And that’s an ugly pimply bitch!” The girl replied, not even batting an eye. As Yul recoiled.

The young girl walked down the aisle and took her seat next to Alec. Giving him an awkward smile as she sat down next to him.

Alec simply grunted as he turned to look out the window. “Hello, Fiore.”

(Fiore Confessional Booth)

“Okay, so because they couldn’t do an interview preview for me, those dumbass producers want me to do a confessional now.” Fiore spoke. “You’ve all missed nothing about my life; my jerk of a mother just dumped me in that prison of a catholic school and left. I’ll be there for the next 10 years of my miserable life, so I might as well take this one chance at vacation I get.”

Her face twisted into an evil smile as she rubbed her hands together. “You all may think I won’t last that long now that everyone knows my secret. But even if I don’t go far, rest assured I’ll do my best to cause the drama these producers busted me out to stir. These assholes are all going to suffer.”

(Tipiskaw, Canada)

As the contestant boredly awaited the plane to land. Fiore took note of how quiet it was, she rashly looked over at Alec, who had been silent the entire flight.

“Are you really going to ignore me this whole flight?” She asked. When Alec gave her an irritated glare, she asked. “Are you REALLY still angry about what happened?”

“You do realize you’re to blame for most of my problems these past two years, right?”

She simply gave him a bored expression. “You have no one to blame but yourself for that.”

Alec simply turned away from her, but she could see his upset expression in the window reflection as the plane landed.

“Alright cast, we’re almost done, we just need to pick up the staff for this season.” Kristal said.

“Of course, you remember Marcus, he’ll be the bus driver for when you guys get eliminated to shuttle you to the motel of losers.” Kristal pointed to an old man with a brown fedora, shaded sunglasses, and a yellow beard and stache.

“Where’s that freaky puppet?” Aiden asked.

“I’m here too. Glad to see the skunk-haired moron missed me!” A puppet looking like a small girl with orange hair popped out behind Marcus’ back.

“And then there’s Oliver,” Kristal introduced a small man with a black afro and glasses. “He’ll be our assistant director to ensure the challenges are…mostly safe.”

“Emily…” Kristal introduced the lady that had given them all interviews.

“What is she doing here?” Grett groaned.

“Emily is our new production assistant. She’ll help in scooping out your confessionals and making sure you greet the fans who help fund this when you’re eliminated.”

“Joy…” Alec muttered.

“And lastly, what season would be complete without the interns.”

“Hmm…I wonder who they are?” Oliver said smugly.

“Everyone, at least from season1, give a warm welcome to…Derek and Trevor!”

No one clapped as two more men came out. Derek was a tan skinned man with black hair and a chiseled jawline with a more happy demeanor. Derek was a more angry looking black haired, white skinned man with some nasty stubble.

“What are they doing here?!” Gabby asked, hiding the bitterness in her tone. “Weren’t they thrown in jail for all the harm they did to the natural environment building that camp for the show?!”

“They were, but the producers paid their bail so we all could torture them.” Kristal said smugly.

“Money really does solve everything these days.” Ellie muttered.

“HAHAHAHAHAHA!” Fiore roared. “How the mighty have fallen! Look at you losers!”

“I guess you two can call ME boss now!” Oliver said proudly.

“Trevor…this was a mistake.”

“It was either that, or 4 more years in Prison, Derek.”

Kristal looked at the two interns. “Anyway, we are now over Camp Tipiskaw. Unfortunately, we haven’t been cleared for landing.”

“Since when do you care about clearance! You landed on my FARM!” Ashley bitterly asked.

“Not important, each of you will grab a parachute and jump from the plane.”

“Uh…what did you say?” Aiden gasped.

Kristal swung open the jet door and tossed a parachute to Derek and Trevor. “Will the interns care to demonstrate?”

“Uh ha ha…” Trevor nervously chuckled.

“Wait what are you doing-” Derek asked as Emily pushed both of them out of the plane.

Ignoring the distant screams of the two former hosts, Kristal turned back to the campers. “While falling, you must each open up your parachutes, the color parachute you get will determine which team color you are on this season. Inside each parachute is also a map that you must use to find your camp.”

“Yeah…we’re not doing that!” Riya crossed her arms. “We didn’t sign up for this!”

“Yeah…what if we don’t jump?” Jake asked.

The host groaned. “If a million dollars isn’t enough for you, because you’re all the best of the best contestants, we’ve decided to triple the prize money this season. 3 million dollars for the winner to truly prove you are the ultimate superstar.”

There was some immense satisfaction she felt seeing the smiles form on every good person’s face, and the evil smiles on all the bad people’s faces.

Ellie was the first to stand up. “Give me that damn parachute.”

“No need, we’ve placed them all under your assigned seats.”

Kristal watched as she eyed each parachute bag the contestants grabbed onto, and marked them down as they jumped. I think the team selections we’ve chosen will cause all the drama we need.

As the contestants fell they each quickly looked to see what their colors were.

Ellie felt some form of relief as she and Gabby pulled their parachutes, only to discover they were both Cyan. Meaning they would get to be on the same team.

Ally and Hunter, both felt satisfied as they revealed magenta colored parachutes, however, their happiness was shortly dashed as Tess opened hers, revealing a Cyan one.

“Oh no! Tess!” Ally gasped.

“It’s okay, I can take care of myself.” Tess said, looking over as she saw Ellie and Gabby on her team.

Jake and Miriam both became disappointed as they revealed magenta and yellow colored parachute’s respectively. Things didn’t get much easier as Tom pulled his and they noted the cyan color, meaning the three of them were separated.

Riya and Connor also both pulled yellow colored parachutes. “Booyah!” Connor fist pumped. “Looks like we’re together Riya!”

“Oh that’s…wonderful…” Riya smiled.

James, Aiden, and Lake all pulled their parachutes. Aiden felt some relief as Lake’s Cyan popped up. However, James revealed Magenta on his.

“James…remember what happened last time. Don’t do anything stupid.”

“Don’t worry I’ll behave.”

As they approached the ground. Alec took note of his yellow parachute, and quickly spotted that he was also going to be with Yul and Grett. However, his eye also caught Fiore and Ashley’s who were both Magenta. He felt a small pit of disappointment, but there was no time to dwell on that now.

Kristal chuckled as she tossed some binoculars to the side.

"And there you have it folks, that's our 3 teams for this season. On Magenta; Jake, Ashley, Fiore, Ally, Hunter, and James. On Cyan, Ellie, Gabby, Tom, Aiden, Lake, and Tess. Lastly, on Yellow Team; Alec, Miriam, Grett, Yul, Connor, and Riya. God, I have missed this show.” She said, “Our 18 most iconic competitors from our two seasons are back to compete in our biggest competition for our biggest prize. But the conditions are back to the way they were in Season 1, no cabins, no bathrooms, no showers, and no dining hall. They’ll have to fend for themselves.”

“Along the way, they’ll have to compete in some brand new challenges, overcome new twists and obstacles, all while being stuck with just a basic tent and supplies, hoping to win challenges for rewards to hopefully improve their lives.

“What drama awaits us? And who will have the dishonor of being the first All-Star eliminated? Find out next time, on Disventure Camp; All Stars!”

Notes:

That concludes Episode 1, of Disventure Camp; All-Stars; Revamped! The first episode was used to get to know the cast from the two seasons and how they've changed since then. Granted, because I'm just doing All-stars, I decided to introduce the characters as if we've never met them. I'm sure anyone reading this likely already watched the first two seasons, but for those who somehow didn't I did sprinkle in some extra stuff to cue you in on important plot elements from those seasons and let you know the cast a bit more than what you'd get from just this episode. Also, for those who have seen all stars, you probably already noticed some changes made to certain cast members that kinda cues you in who may be given more of a role this season than they first got? Or am I just trolling you :)

As always, your Kudos and Comments would be greatly appreciated. If I get enough, maybe I'll have the contestants "react." to your comments after they get eliminated to mirror the Patreon readings they do at the end of each episode. That sounds like it'll be a fun idea to hopefully encourage more commenting.

See you all! Next time!
