Time Together

Summary:

Henry and Vito spent their time together for a whole day for the very first time. Henry had his plan to welcome Vito to his morning, though it didn't go as smooth as they wanted to be. After their feuds, Vito wanted to make up his mistakes by his cooking - which Henry found delightful.

Work Text:

Last night Henry and Vito had their breathtaking symphony. It lasted the entire night, they had to sacrifice some of their sleeping hours for the irreplaceable pleasure. After Vito pleaded for his stay at Henry’s place and camouflaged it as a simulation for their future, Henry finally agreed and let Vito to rest his eyes beside him for the remainder of time.

As for now, through Henry’s heavy velvet curtains, faint sounds of birds chirping started to filter in, and warm orange rays creeped through the gaps, making their entrance to the dark gloomy bedroom. Henry’s biological alarm clock had aligned with nature, he had no other choice but to open his eyes. As he adjusted his view, he could see his heart, still sleeping peacefully beside him. Vito’s eyes were shut softly and his eyelashes rest on his rosy cheeks, his eyebrows relaxed and no lined occured on his forehead, his supple lips slightly opened and shaped in a faint smile, his body rhythmically shifted up and down in fluid motion. His face showed peace and tranquility, a view that Henry couldn’t get enough of. Henry gave Vito a little peck of a kiss on his forehead, which made Vito dive in his dreamland even deeper, and an opaque smile started to occur.

After slowly and carefully sliding his arm from Vito’s body, Henry turned on his night lamp and took the book he had been reading from the night stand, continued to catch up with the paragraph, while the dawn still lasted and nobody disturbed his solitary yet. Reading had become a habit of his, giving him a sense of company in his lonesome environment - hence why he had plenty of book shelves throughout his house - and the dawn was his favorite time to spend it on his books. Although he enjoyed the quiet, chilly, noiseless dawn, today was quite different than usual - he could hear soft snoring from Vito and occasional rustling noise from the bed sheets, he could also feel a warmth generated from the side of his body Henry thought he might like this better. Letting Vito to stay for the night, might be the best decision he made so far - after the confession of course.

Pages and pages had passed, Henry decided to head to the living room. With a swift motion, he railed his curtains to the side, letting the warm golden glow to radiate through his cold room, and opened the balcony windows to let the fresh breeze circulate the air. As the sun settled to its comfortable position, the simulation of their future will start. He took a deep breath, the anxiety of what’s to come creeping in his head- what if this, what if that, all the negatif possible future pictured in Henry’s head-and god forbid what he dreaded will come. While he was engulfed in his dark place, a gush of breeze hitted Henry’s face, as if the world gave him a reminder, that a positive possible future does exist. The excitement in his heart jolted, he pictured what activities they could enjoy together while the morning lasted.

A hot cup of coffee together, on the balcony. We hugged each other as we watched the sun emitting its energy all throughout Empire Bay. We deeply gaze at each other while the golden rays hitted our skin. Vito’s luscious messy brown hair, sparkling blue eyes still heavy from his sleep, olive skin with pale rose colored cheeks, delicate smile of his. I can kiss him the entire morning - an angel of mine, beside me, spend our beginning together - and I can do this again and again.

Henry didn’t realize he smiled from ear to ear from the image his brain generated.

Now we can have our breakfast together, I don’t need to do it alone - well I didn’t hate to eat alone - but now I can have it with Vito. What should we do after breakfast? Shower? Bath sounds better, we both need it. Bathing with Vito? Shit got even better. Maybe we can-

Henry came back to his senses when the sun pierced his eyes, he realized he just spent some of his morning standing on the balcony daydreaming. Without wasting any more time, he combed his hair with his fingers, stretched his body, and started his routine.

As much as Henry wanted Vito to wake up and accompany the empty morning with him, Henry would rather let Vito take some more time to rest, he realized that it was him who made Vito have to stay up all night. Vito was never fond of mornings, he always woke up later than the others, and Henry knew - he wanted to welcome Vito to his morning in the best way possible, and maybe a cup of hot coffee he brewed would enlighten Vito’s start of the day. With a slight hum in the tone of his current favorite track, Henry brewed his specialty, filling the entire space with its warm elegant aroma.

A knock was heard from the front door. Henry didn’t want to let anybody outside the door to wait any longer, and opened the dark wood standing between them. It was the room service. Henry had ordered their breakfast earlier, just in case Vito woke up with an empty stomach, he could dive right in. The room service meticulously set their finest china on the top of Henry’s dining table, making sure everything sat perfectly. Sounds of glass clinking and ceramic brushed against the oakwood of the table echoed throughout the room. Pleased with their work, Henry tipped a couple of dollar bills and was later showered with gratitude by the person who was in charge and continued to leave Henry alone in his sanctuary. Henry checked on his sleeping beauty, still snuggled up with his thick blanket, Henry wondered how much longer will it take for Vito finally opened his eyes as he was already eager to showered him with affection.

It’s still 8AM, still got plenty of time together. Henry thought.

He left his bedroom with a pair of underwear and a black towel, he decided to take a shower before Vito woke up, at least he could smell better than his morning odor. A quick warm water rained on him, washing away the sweats, the dirts, taking all his stress and pain along with it. Henry scrubbed his body thoroughly, starting from the top and trailing his contoured physics until he met his feet. He took his extra time to make sure he looked pristine in front of Vito, but also hopefully this extra time could get Vito to finally wake up. With his face washed, breath fresh, and a towel around his waist, he walked back to his bedroom - only to find Vito still sleeping soundly. Henry sighed a slight annoyance since the time was starting to run out and they possibly had to do some job for the day - all things that he imagined might not come true. Henry nudged Vito gently, tried to wake him up, but Vito brushed his hand and faced the other direction - continuing his dream. Henry started to get irritated. He quickly put on his dress pants and shirt, then headed to his dining table. His stomach was rumbling in hunger and their breakfast was getting cold, Henry started his breakfast without Vito in front of him.

The silverware Henry used clicking louder than usual. Henry wasn’t too cautious while using them, he recklessly ate his cold scrambled eggs with bacon and toast - definitely not his favorite as he preferred freshly cooked food. He didn’t even need ice to enjoy an iced coffee - as his hot coffee already lost its temperature. His orange juice? Stale. Didn’t even care to drink some, he dumped it down to the drain. Henry took a deep breath to reclaim his zen - rubbed his face to support himself, and waited for a little longer. Maybe his books would help him to kill the time.

A couple hours went by, a pack of cigarettes emptied out, plenty of chapters had passed. The silver watch wrapped on his wrist showed that the time was almost 12. Henry couldn’t take it anymore. All of his dreams went straight to the gutter. All of the nudges and calling he had done before didn’t work, and he had lost his patience. He got closer to Vito, lips almost touching Vito’s ear. A whisper underlined with anger slithered out from his mouth.

How much fucking longer are you going to sleep, Scaletta?

Like a thunderous grumble, his words shocked Vito’s eyes to open. He jolted, turned his body to the source of the sound, hands flailing trying to grasp anything - but it hitted Henry right in the face instead.
SLAP!!
“Shit!” Henry grasped his face in pain. “Shit Vito! I fucking waited all morning and this is what I get!?”

5 minutes hasn’t passed by but everything already went batshit crazy for Vito.

“Shit, I’m sorry Hen, I really didn’t mean to! Your voice fucking scared the shit out of me!” Vito tried to help Henry soothe his pain but Henry walked away instead. Now that he was further, Vito could see Henry from top to bottom, and he was already looking done, with his 3 piece suit, gelled hair, even fragrance once Vito’s senses were fully working. “Why are you wearing that already?” while he pointed to Henry's full attire.

Henry huffed with a passive aggressive smirk on his face. “Why don’t you guess, Vito.”

Vito's annoyance grew with Henry's passive aggressive attitude. Why can’t we just have a peaceful morning. “I don’t fucking know, Henry, I just woke up and you tryna play games with me?” This was the last thing he wanted in the morning: arguments. Henry crossed his arms on his chest, mouth snickered in irritation and anger, head slightly tilted while maintaining his hazel eyes to puncture Vito’s heavy blue eyes.

“I’ll give you a fucking clue. It’s almost 12 PM.”

Vito could imagine a Thompson blown his chest hundreds of times. Henry’s words suddenly took all his sleepiness away and shot him with consciousness. His eyes now wide awake, mouth dried from all the words he was about to let out. Vito was bewildered with the truth, he knew he fucked up, and judging from Henry’s attitude towards him, it wouldn’t be pretty. “I’ll be ready in 5 minutes!” As he ran to the bathroom, Henry stepped aside and gladly gave Vito the time and place, not that he had another choice. As Vito ran towards the bathroom, he could see a plate that was full with foods, right before he was going to ask-
“Don’t fucking touch the foods at the table! it’s fucking rotting already!” Henry yelled from the bedroom, knowing well Vito had eyed the stale breakfast he ordered 5 hours ago.

Henry had to open another pack of cigarettes to accompany him spending some more of his day. Who would’ve thought the first night they spent together would lead their first fight living together. If this is what Vito tried to sell, Henry wasn’t sure he would buy it - shit looked worse than living by himself. As he took a long drag of smoke, he could hear all the mess Vito made in the background, scrambling around trying to get ready as fast as he could. Henry really needed the smoke to gather his patience back to himself, although he didn’t think he still had any left.

“I’m ready!” Vito yelled from Henry’s back with his chest rapidly puffed up and down, still full of adrenaline. Usually Henry would enjoy eyeing his candy from the top to bottom. Hell - if time was still on their side, he probably would postpone everything just to rip them all off - but Henry had lost his appetite for him, all he wanted was actually food for lunch. Without a word regarding Vito’s appearance, Henry apathetically walked to the front door which resulted in Vito scurrying his way to catch up. Each of their steps were accompanied by Vito’s apology, explanation, and pleas to Henry, yet none of them were strong enough to penetrate Henry’s rigid concrete wall, Vito’s words seemed to ricocheted off of him.

As they arrived at the parking lot, Henry was about to unlock his car and quickly his key was snatched by Vito who was eager to show his responsibility. “Let me drive!” Vito aggressively showed his apology deed, Henry shrugged and placed himself on the passenger seat. Even during the drive Vito still tried his chances by reciting his paragraphs while Henry didn’t even bat an eye on him. His eyes were busy watching the packed road of Empire Bay, filled with people who were as eager as he was to get to their destination, while occasionally blowing his smoke. Vito’s eyes were also busy to multitask, focused both on the road and stole a glance towards Henry, tried to decode his language, which wasn’t hard since Henry remained the same, emotionless. Vito stepped the pedal deeper to get them to Falcone’s quick, he needed a better space for both of them.

As they got there, Jack was on the front and greeted the both of them, and informed them that Eddie had left the scene before they arrived. Must be a day off for them. Vito hastily led Henry to their usual spot after ordering their lunch, to continue his confession, his apology, his pleas - whatever that came out of his mouth. Henry sat with his back pressed against the booth, arms still crossed to keep his guard high, his hazel eyes still remained apathetic but sharp, lips still sealed tight.

“Henry, I know you were pissed at me, and I would too if I were you. I’m really sorry I was being an asshole after everything I said last night. I admit I wouldn’t be as early as you, but you know I’d die to fucking spend my morning with you!” Vito cried (not literally) his many apology for the day. Henry had to snicker while listening to Vito's words.

“You did look like you’re dead.”

Vito clicked his tongue, annoyed that Henry never gave him sympathy, when really the reason he was up this late was because of what Henry did last night, Vito followed him to please him - but it seemed his deed wasn’t good enough to forgive him. “Henry, I really don’t know what else I can fucking say. I’m really fucking sorry.” Vito was desperate, he ran out of words to say, he felt he had expressed everything that he could, he had sincerely poured all of his heart out, yet none of them were working for Henry. He didn’t know what else he could do - and he was terrified, the privilege to be this intimate with Henry, had to be ripped off of him. Vito could feel his knees weaken, his shoulder started to get heavier. He buried his head in his arms, he felt defeated. He couldn’t ruin the relationship he’d been dreaming of.

Seeing his lover looking so defeated seemed to melt Henry’s stone cold heart. He never saw Vito to be as limp as right now - and Henry’s heart was pained from listening to the tone of Vito’s voice. Yes he was angry over what happened in the morning, he had planned everything for Vito yet every each one of them went to waste, but really today was their first day of being together for the entire day, there had to be new things to learn - and apparently, this morning was a huge knowledge for the both of them. Henry could feel his eyes starting to soften. He sighed. Maybe I was being too hard on him.

“I hope I don’t spend my morning watching you fucking snore anytime soon.”

Vito whipped his neck to lead his eyes towards Henry’s lips. He heard it correctly, it could be another chance given from Henry.

“No you fucking won’t! I promise ya-”

Jack had to interrupt them, placing their plates of foods and drinks, then swiftly left them to their own company.

“I promise ya Hen, you could do whatever your heart desires. In fact I’ll cook you breakfast too!” Henry was actually intrigued by the last offer Vito gave him. “You cook?”
“Oh! You don’t know?”
Henry shook his head while starting to dine his lunch, all of this anger built since morning made him starving. “Tell me about it.”
“I used to help my mama to cook all the time, so I know something. I have to say it’s pretty fucking good. Quite proud of it.” Vito proudly explained his unknown talent.
“Huh, didn’t seem like it.” Henry uttered his thoughts. “The fuck does that supposed to mean?” Vito wouldn’t accept Henry’s little thought.
“It means what it means. Never think of you as someone who cooks. So you cook often at home?”
“No, not really. We’ve been working a lot day and night, I never have time for it. Also cooking for one is such a waste.”
“I see. What do you usually make?”
“My home meals. When I miss my mama I make her meals. One of my favorite foods is her Osso Buco, tried to make it my own. Not as good as hers, but it’s pretty dang close.” Vito didn’t even touch his food as he was excited with all Henry’s questions about his cooking ability. “Do you have any favorite food your ma made for you?

Henry, sitting in silence, tried to dig deep into the memory when he was a child, tried to find the specific moment he needed - and he didn’t find it. “Honestly, I don’t even remember her food anymore.”

Vito felt bad to hear Henry’s words, it felt as if Vito opened his old wound. “I’m sorry Hen, I didn’t mean to.. you know, hurt ya..”
Henry shook his head,”No, I’m fine, really. It had been so long so I forgot about it” Henry tried to make Vito feel better but things went into an awkward silence.
“Sounds like your ‘ma is a great cook. Would love to try it someday.” Henry softly commented to break the silence between them while still ingesting his foods.
“She really is! She gave her recipe to Frankie, I haven’t had a chance to properly learn it. But- you know what!”
“What?”
“Let me cook you dinner to make up everything!”

Henry was in disbelief of what he heard. He had to replay Vito’s words in his head to make sure he heard it right. Vito’s cooking sounded amazing, he knew he couldn’t refuse them, but he hated to bother someone he loved more. “Cook me dinner? No, please don’t trouble yourself Vito.”
“I’ve ruined your day Henry, I don’t want to ruin your fucking night too.” Vito used his puppy eyes as his ammunition to attack Henry now that he had let his guard down.
“And you won’t ruin my fucking night. Let’s just go somewhere nice and have dinner there.”
“Yeah, two men went to a fancy restaurant to have dinner together, not suspicious at all. Come on, Hen! I’ll take care of everything, you don’t need to do anything, just relax your back.”

Vito got a point, two men having dinner together would guarantee people to stare at them and their cover would be blown. Henry couldn’t risk it. He had to accept Vito’s offer.
“Fine. But I don’t even have a frying pan, how are you going to cook?”
Vito shocked someone as wealthy as Henry didn’t own a frying pan, even if he didn’t cook at least to have it as a decoration. “You don’t have any kitchen utensils?”
Henry shook his head. “I don’t cook, Vito. So I never got one. I’ve always been eating out.”
“But you make your own coffee, though?”
“And what part of making coffee is cooking, Vito?”
Vito watched Henry in disbelief. “So you don’t know how to cook?”
“I don’t cook Vito.”
“Frying bacon?”
“No.”
“Pasta?”
“No clue.”
“Frying an egg?”
Henry shook his head.
“Not even an egg!? That’s bad, Hen! You need to at least know how to fry an egg!”
Henry got annoyed.
“How the fuck should I know how to fry a fucking egg? You think Luca would fucking come to my house and teach me how to? He won’t know any better than me. You think Clemente would give me a cooking class? That old man wouldn’t even stand near the kitchen! Nobody taught me how to do it, Vito. So of course I don’t know how!”

Vito realized that Henry had been living by himself a long time, and that part of his life had been working for the family he chose at that moment. Somehow Vito started to feel sorry towards Henry, this man had been living without feeling the warmth of home cooked meals. “Fine, we’ll get groceries and a frying pan after this!” Henry never agreed to it, but didn’t seem to have a choice to. Seeing Henry’s plate already empty, Vito inhaled his food to catch up with him, and later continued their adventure.

Vito dragged Henry along with him, showing each shop he loved to go, picking and choosing the ingredients he was going to use, excitedly explaining why a certain ingredient is better than the others, what brand he loved the best and Henry should too. They kept on walking and walking, visited every mart they encountered, their visits usually ended up either getting everything the shop sells, or not getting anything. Henry paid everything for it - he insisted, he wouldn’t feel right if he didn’t pay for it. Henry intently watched and listened to everything Vito did and said, he never saw this side of Vito, very energetic, talkative, bright and happy, who knows a man as cold as Vito loved his visits to the local market. Vito was also very educated with every ingredient he gathered, he knew every sign Henry should watch if he ever was going to buy his own groceries, he knew what’s the best way to treat the ingredients to bring their best flavor, he knew what combinations would enhance the taste and gave them extra profile. Henry was really impressed by him, he always knew Vito was an intelligent man by the way he calculated his move, but who would know he’d be the same way in the other category. Vito then tried to convince Henry to get a cast iron frying pan as his first kitchen utility.
“This is the good shit, Hen. This pan is thick, durable, lasted for centuries, you only need to get one and your grandchildren will thank you for that. If you hit someone with it you’ll give him a fucking concussion, I’m also pretty sure you can dodge a bullet with this.”
“Are you tryna say someone’s gonna raid my fucking place?”
“No, I’m tryna say to get the cast iron one, because it’s the best out of the bunch and you gotta trust me on this.”
Henry surrendered, and took out his dollar bills from his pocket. As easy as that, he finally owned his first piece. The clerk thanked Vito for helping them to reach their sales. Vito continued to shop for other essentials for Henry’s empty kitchen, and Henry had to follow him everywhere.

They finally arrived back at Henry's place, Vito gleefully walked towards the kitchen, while Henry took off his suit jacket and headed straight towards his plush sofas. “Rest yourself, Henry. I’ll take care of everything.” He said from the kitchen, meticulously taking out everything and storing them in the fridge, washing every kitchen tool he was going to use. The kitchen that was once only filled with 5 items, now crowded with a variety of utilities. Vito thanked God to know Henry has multiple sets of dishes and silverware, must’ve come in a set with his valuable mugs - he knew Henry wouldn’t get such a thing. Vito started to prepare his ingredients by washing them and skillfully chopped everything. The sound of a stainless steel blade meeting the wooden chopping board echoed and filled the airwave inside the room - meeting with the record player Henry played from the living room.

Henry separated himself from the hustle in the kitchen, he indulged himself with his cigarette and his books. Passing each passage, humming the tone he played in the background, filled his lungs with the warming cloud, enjoying his evening with things he loved the most. He knew his day hadn't ended yet, and he loved the direction he was taking. The sound of sizzling from the frypan shocked Henry, he had to glance at Vito - trying to find out what he was doing. The sound later followed by appetizing aroma emerged through the kitchen, an aroma he hadn’t scent for a long time - in fact every activity that happened in the kitchen hadn’t been felt by Henry for the majority of his life - and he didn’t realize that he missed those moments. He could feel the warmth in the atmosphere slowly diffused into his mind, bringing a part of his long lost memory back to the surface back when he used to have so much life in his eyes, the part of him that had gone along with time had passed. The experience he was having made him lose his interest towards his book, and shifted to Vito who was single handedly creating his best dish.

Henry walked up to the kitchen and leaned at the door frame, comfortably watching Vito cooked. Henry loved what he had to witness. Vito probably tossed his jacket at the nearby counter, he rolled both of his white shirt sleeves, avoiding to get it dirtied. His eyes focused on what was happening in the stove, he didn’t even notice the sweats that’d been covering his rosy face - the heat from the stove seemed to affect his cheeks too. His hands were packed with skills, tossing the ingredients, getting it even sear, multitasking with grabbing each ingredient and diligently throwing it inside in an orderly manner. His tongue occasionally tasted his creation, and later picked up what he needed more. During his busy task, he noticed Henry had been standing on the door frame. “I told ya to rest, Hen.” He said shortly with a gentle smile.
“Haven’t heard such noise for a long time, I had to watch.” Henry answered, also with a gentle smile. Vito giggled and continued his duty.

Henry walked closer towards Vito and intently observed everything he did, it was beautiful, just like orchestrated movements. “You know, I didn’t realize I miss these noises you made,”
“Hm?” Vito noticed Henry among the loud sounds from the cooking. “Washing, chopping, sizzling, you dropping stuff. I haven’t heard it since- God knows how long. I forgot about it already.”
“Yet when you did it, it opened the memory I have long closed.” Henry kissed Vito’s wet temple. “And I love every single one of it.” Henry softly whispered it to Vito’s ear, and it made a smile grow on Vito. “I’m glad that you’re loving it Hen.”
“You’re sweating, Caro.” As Henry pulled his handkerchief and carefully tapped Vito’s sweat off of him, not to bother him. “Thank you, Henry. You should really rest, I’m almost done.”
“At least let me help you with anything, I feel horrible if I don’t do shit.”
“Well, could you set the table?” Vito asked gingerly. Henry took out his chinas from the cupboard and carefully placed it on his dining table, alongside with his shiny silverware. He grabbed one of his bottles of wine he’d been keeping in his bar side.

Not long after, Vito went out with his dishes, placing it in the middle of the table. He made a three course meal, a Caprese Salad as the appetizer, Osso Buco as their main course, and Tiramisu for their dessert. Smile of triumph widely adorned Vito’s face, which now looked a little red around his cheeks and drenched in sweat due to the heat in the kitchen, yet he was still as happy as a kid with candy. Henry was in awe with what Vito made, he couldn’t imagine Vito cooking would be this extravagant, he thought Vito would only make a simple dish for the night. “Your mama always cooked a 3 course meal like this?” Henry asked.
“No, I’m just showing off, we are having dinner anyway.” Vito shrugged and laughed, he took a seat in front of Henry.
“That’s what I thought, you were too skinny for somebody who ate a 3 course meal everyday.”

Henry brought his bottle, his sophisticated senses chose Chianti Classico as their pair. He popped the cork from the dark bottle and gently poured it into each of their tall stemmed glasses.
“What is this?” Vito asked while picking notes of the aroma from the wine. “Chianti Classico. I think it would be best to pair with your foods. It has a good acidity, with notes of cherry, earth, and some subtle spices. It should complement every dish.”
Vito took a sip and was impressed by Henry’s selection, “It’s good Henry.” Henry softly smiled, “Thank you.”

Henry said his prayer and Vito awkwardly followed along, since he had been disbanding those habits if he dined alone. “Thank you for the food, Vito.” Henry said with a soft smile, and Vito nodded his head. Henry tasted every dish Vito made, and savored every single component in it,

“It’s delicious, Vito.” Henry started to fasten his pace to devour his foods. Vito loved watching Henry being engulfed in his labor of love, and Vito couldn’t help but to meticulously explain his experience of making it in such depth. Vito was extremely bright and talkative when it came to talking about his hobbies and interests, and Henry was in pleasure to be able to experience this vulnerable side of him, a treasure he adored the most. Vito’s cooking tasted good, better than what Henry expected, although not as good as some of the restaurants he dined in. But, there were extraordinary properties behind every dish that he made, properties that he couldn’t find in any other place. It wasn’t about the quality ingredients he used, wasn’t about the tools, wasn’t about the technique. Vito’s foods were more than just food on a plate; it was a tapestry of love and memories woven together. Each bite he took was a comforting embrace, a reminder of the care and effort that went into nurturing the ones Vito held dearly. His cooking had invited Henry to experience the warmth and the joy of Vito’s childhood home. A dish of celebration of togetherness and a testament of the family bond. Vito’s cooking was definitely filling, not only for the stomach, but also Henry’s heart. Slowly, but surely, Henry’s entire vessels were filled with memories of them.

Throughout their meal, Henry kept showering Vito with compliments about how good his cooking was, how everything was perfect, and how he was really good at it. Vito took it as his win and more - the fact he could have an intimate dinner even cooked for someone he loved was everything he could ever dreamed of. They both share the same look, they both enjoyed the warm and loving atmosphere among them. They hoped the time would move slower as they wanted to savor all the moments they were having with all their senses, and deeply engraved it in each other's mind. Their day had been a roller coaster and they were glad they could find an ending from the fight and headed towards the intimation they yearned. Henry softly held Vito’s hand, gently stroked the back of his hand and placed a soft kiss on it.

“Thank you for everything, Caro. It’s more than I could dream of.”

Vito’s eyes locked in such warmth watching his man adoring him, his heart started to flutter, the sensation he couldn’t get accustomed to. “Thank you for giving me another chance, Henry. I promised you it won’t happen again.”
“I was being a prick, Vito, I’m really sorry. I was upset since I’ve planned everything to welcome you in the morning. But I should’ve known better.” Henry felt bad and continued to showered Vito’s hand with deep tender kisses, from the back of his hand, traveled to each of Vito’s fingers, trailed down to his wrist, and somehow it evoked the feeling Vito’s never had before. “It’s fine, Henry. Guess we both learn something new about each other.”

Henry stopped, and stared at his angel. His smile started to grow on his supple lips, watching Vito in such endearment. He gently brushed Vito’s blushed cheek and his neat hair. “You are always smart about everything, Vito. I love that about you.” Vito's heart beats harder hearing compliments from Henry. Nobody really acknowledged his ability, and the only time people did that was when they tried to take advantage of him. Joe was one of his closest friends who praised him dearly from his heart, but when it came from Henry, it was different. Someone who he had always been looked up to, and now they were both devoted to one another, hearing him showered him in adornment flew him in unspeakable ecstasy. He really loves Henry.

“Thank you, Henry. I really do.”

Henry moved closer, followed by both of his hands now cupping Vito’s face. They both closed their eyes, letting their parasympathetic to guide their move, and their lips meeting each other, colliding in worship, passion, and lust, as it took away the pain they felt from today, yesterday, even years ago. Their arguments from the beginning only forged their bond into a stronger chain, as they needed to achieve their mutual dream. They moved their location and headed towards the bedroom, ending their long day with bliss and delight. Henry decided living together with Vito would be a joyful experience - an experience he wouldn’t trade for anything. His decision to be a part of Vito’s life had to be one of his proudest moments, a pinnacle of achievement of everything he had won. They closed their eyes together, peacefully letting the moon take their consciousness, resting fully on Henry’s comfortable mattress, believing tomorrow will come and they both still have each other beside them. Their thoughts flew to their dreamland knowing the reality wouldn't be any better than their dream, as they’ve been living in one.

Later in the morning, Henry woke up due to his natural alarm. As he tried to move his back he could feel the morning had awakened his other part too, and Vito's knee accidentally stroke it underneath the blanket. Henry had to hold his breath, not to let out his moan - afraid to awaken his icy blue. Alas, Henry movements to prop himself on to the head board already enough to bring Vito back to his life. “You’re awake already, Hen?” He said in a raspy voice, eyes still heavy. Vito gently stroked Henry’s built chest and trailed down to his abs. “Yes, just woke up.” Henry said gingerly and he gently caressed Vito’s cheek. Vito smirked in his sleep. “Would you say letting me stay for the night was a good decision?” Vito murmured as his hand trailed down underneath the blanket and felt the firm force underneath the brief Henry had on.
“It’s a fucking great decision” Henry softly answered, helding his breath from the intensity he could feel underneath. Vito giggled, he moved closer to Henry’s contoured stomach and got busy with his talented hand. “Now Vito,” Henry tenderly placed his hand on Vito's face and carefully tilted it towards the amorous in between his legs while Vito obediently followed the direction. Henry’s other hand slid the thick blanket that had been covering the dark business, inviting Vito for a beginning of absolute pleasure.

“Would you be a dear and use that pretty mouth of yours to work?”

With a naughty lustful smile, Vito was ready to be the pleaser he always is.

“My pleasure, sir.”
