wanted to try and put some visuals to it. and process the whole thing.
pretty sure cas never drinks in the fic but y'know vibes or whatever. heart emojis more like homage to the wu memes. in the end author's note where they list the songs, i read obsessions and nodded violently. they chained cas to the floor in the show - did u see that - probs the moment i knew this would get made. however, i have flip flopped so much on whether or not to post this. psychological thriller is right. and not to tell you how to suck eggs but, be sure to read the tags / warnings. and if you can; check with a friend, to decide if engaging with this fic is safe for you.

idk how successful i was with the concepts i was going for, and i don’t want to explain everything. so this is a simplified version of all the thoughts buzzing in my head:
decided to focus on cas/dean bc getting into anna and balthazar and the cm crew seemed like WAY too big a task - not to mention ADITI & stephen (it was enough of a challenge trying to just use scenes from the bunker (or could get away w/being the bunker) for so much of it)
Things I loved doing in the wu amv
nasty thought/i love you
my sympathies/drum beat on the floor
shopping panic attack sequence (when i first read that scene i thought of obsessions and seeing it in the author’s note... dang)
creep/thump
trying not to show cas’ face towards the end (outsider perspective vibes)
i mean storytelling editing is fun, there has to be such a play against with this story
Things I hated doing in the wu amv
close up on cas’ nipple (nobody wants to see that, the context for it 🤢, the ace-ness i had to overcome, haunted by that shot)
cutting out the credits oh my god gif makers u are heroes
working out how to show cas leaving
nipple again >:(
making it at all (could only work on it in certain mindset, fucked up fic, changes you irrevocably (thank you apokteino for writing this story, i don’t know how you did it <3))

sam was in an og scene? shh no he wasn’t it’s all wu now (and that guy’s dead)
can’t remember if he is in the actual supernatural ep but in my head dean’s talking to charlie in the opening shot #rip
did u know they use very subtle fades between every shot of spn? coming from a jump cut bg this was a surprise editing choice
pls consider this vid also my wu essay even tho u literally cannot fit every aspect of a 400k story in 3 mins 30 (shout out to the more shots of cas working and dean in prison that didn’t make the cut. gone but not forgotten 🪦😔✌️)
