Okay. Yeah okay, I've got this.
Joel is staring at the small bundle of blanket and the small face and tufts of hair belonging to Eino. He's sleeping soundly in a baby nest.
Lumi and Aleksi went out for a dinner together, a small date just the two of them. Beforehand Joel had been confident that he can handle babysitting for a couple of hours, after all Eino is still small and only really sleeps and eats between napping.
"It's possible that he won't even wake up at all before we're already coming back you know." Aleksi had said as they were leaving.
"And I pumped milk that's in the fridge if Eino happens to wake up hungry. Even though it's not likely since he just ate." Lumi assures Joel.
She gives a good luck kiss to Joel and then they're out the door.

Joel felt confident before yes. Now though he's left thinking about everything that could go wrong and he was trying hard not to panic.
Eino seems to be content sleeping so Joel sits beside him and scrolls on his phone to pass time.
It's not long before Joel hears Eino waking up, letting out a couple of small cries.
Oh shit. Okay.
Joel moves carefully when he picks up Eino in his arms. He coddles him, shushing to try and calm the baby, seeing as that's what Lumi and Aleksi usually do in such situations. Eino seems not impressed though as his cries continue.
Think fast Joel.
He starts to hum a random melody. After a moment Eino quiets down, probably focusing to listen to the soothing sound.
Joel sits down on the sofa, switching to a different song. He looks down at Eino, his big blue eyes staring curiously at Joel.
After a while Eino's eyelids start to shut again, falling asleep feeling safe and comfortable in the warm big arms holding him. Joel sings one more song just to be safe.
Joel is left staring at the small baby, studying his features and he recognizes Aleksi and Lumi in him. He wonders how miraculous it would be to see his own features on a baby one day. And it will happen if Joel and Lumi have any saying in the matter. Just not yet.
He doesn't know how long he stays there but soon he hears Lumi and Aleksi coming home.
"Awww look at you two! How cute!" Lumi gushes as she notices Joel and Eino. She comes over to give Joel's cheek a kiss.
"It seems like everything went well then?" Aleksi sits down on the other side of Joel, softly caressing Eino's cheek.
"Yeah, I guess we found common melody" Joel smiles, feeling good about managing so well.
I'm not so bad at this after all.
