Work Text:
“Guys, guys!” You close the door and drop the keys at the table, running straight to the living room to find your girlfriends.
There she is, Captain Carol Danvers lying cozily on the couch, “Hey, welcome home, swee-”. You jump onto your girl, “Carol!”
“Slow down, princess. You’re that happy to see me, baby?” Carol holds you tight and wiggles you in her arms.
“No, I mean yes! Check this out!” You show her the flyer you get on your way home. “There’s a fair tomorrow, can we go?”
“Wow, A fair!” Carol takes the colorful flyer from your hand, “It looks cool, why don’t we go ask Nat? She’s in the kitchen.”
You get up and pull Carol from the couch, running to the kitchen to find Natasha.
“Nat, Nat, Nat!” “Natty! Natty! Natty!”
Natasha smirks as you two big children run towards her looking excited, “What are you two little cheeky ones up to?
"Naaaaat.” You give Natasha a big hug as Carol hands her the flyer.
“Welcome home, princess. what’s this?” Natasha pats your head and looks at the flyer.
“Can we go?” You and Carol pull your best puppy eyes at Natasha, “Please?”
Natasha rolls her eyes, “Alright.” She put a kiss on your head. How can she say no while her girlfriends are being so cute?
“Yeah!” You and Carol high-fived.
Natasha pushes you out of the kitchen, “Get the table ready, dinner in 5.”
/
“It’s time to wake up, Y/N.” Natasha sitting on your side of the bed, her hand brushing your cheek.
You cover yourself under the duvet, not even Natasha can wake you up on a Saturday morning.
“Baby?”
No response.
“Sweetheart?”
Still nothing. Natasha sighs, she loses the Rock paper scissors to Carol and has been given the job of waking you up.
“Carol made breakfast.”
“Ughhhhhhh.” You growl from the sheets, sticking your head out with your eyes barely open, grumpy yet sleepy, “Bacon?”
She smirks, “So crispy.”
You curse yourself for imagining the salty and crispy flavor of bacon, you can almost smell it, “Coffee?”
“And tea, your choice.”
You have different routines depending on your mood in the morning, not even you can tell what you’ll pick in the night before, and your girlfriends certainly keep those in mind.
“You’re evil.” You give Natasha a quick peck before stretching your arms and stepping into the bathroom to get ready.
“No, we’re the Avengers.” She watches as you finally get up and start brushing your teeth, “I’ll go see how your bacon is doing.”
/
“No, I’m fine. I’m not wearing that.” Natasha rejects Carol, who’s handing her a pair of kitty hairpins.
“C'mon, Nat.” Carol tilts her head your way, and the bear headband moves as she does so, “Look how excited they are.”
You run to the ticket booth and turn around to find your girlfriends are way behind you. You adjust your dinosaur hat, then reach out your hands, “Natty! Carol!”
The corner of Natasha’s lips turns upward, and Carol helps put the hairpin on her. They catch up with you and hold both of your hands, Natasha on the right side; and Carol on the left.
“Woah, look!” You point at a boxing arcade machine, “Should we try it?”
Carol smirks, “Hell yeah!”.
She puts in enough coins for three tries, “I go first.” Carol says as if she’s showing you how to do it.
“No superpowers.” You add.
“Don’t need it, babe.”
BANG
The score keeps going until it stops at 871.
“Nice.” You give Carol a quick peck. “My turn.”
You punch the target like it’s a Hydra agent, the score stops at 749.
“Ugh!” You let out an upset noise.
Natasha rubs your arm. “I’m up.”
Natasha loosens her muscles and the intriguing smile fades for a second when she punches the bag.
When the number stops at 869, Natasha’s smile disappears fully, but Carol cheers her own success.
“It’s okay, Nat.” You circle Natasha’s waist and rub your face in her chest. “We do better on the real thing.”
“I know.” Natasha cups your cheek and kisses you.
Carol did a very fake cough, “Says the loser.”
You giggle when you see Nat roll her eyes jokingly.
“Next, that one.” Natasha points at a vendor with balloons and pistols.
“Shooting? Really?”
Each of you thinks of yourself as the best shooter among the three, there’s this one time Tony had to ban you all from the range for a week because JARVIS kept notifying him there were out of bullets right after he had them restocked.
Carol pats you through your dinosaur hat while giving the tickets to the vendor, “You scared, princess?”
You shake her hand off and step forward, “Watch and learn.”
All ten balloons are gone in a second, you wink at your girlfriends when you hear the passerby gasp in admiration.
You lay against Natasha with her head resting on your shoulder as Carol picks up the pistol, and out of all of your expectations, Carol missed.
Judging from the expression on her face, she is shocked, too. “You’ve got to be kidding me!”
Natasha’s turn, and out of habit, she checks the magazine before shooting.
Your jaw drops when all the balloons are popped because she only fires nine times.
“Saved one for you when you missed.” Natasha pulls out the magazine, showing the one airsoft pellet left.
Carol acts annoyed when Natasha kisses her, but she leans in for another when Nat pulls away.
You hold the stuffed toys that you and Natasha won; you picked a set of teddy bears.
A dreamy sweet smell fills the air, just when you’re looking around and wondering where that came from, you feel Nat tap on your shoulder, “There.”
Your eyes widen immediately when you see the flower-shaped cotton candy being handed out to a customer at the snack vendor.
You pull the corner of your girlfriend’s shirt, “Can we have that?”
“Of course.” Both of them reply.
“I’ll hold these for you.” Carol says and you give her the stuffies.
“I’ll buy this whole place if it can keep that smile on their face.” Natasha mumbles while watching you ordering the snack.
“I know.” Carol circles her waist from behind, “We’re getting soft, Nat.”
“If that’s what it takes,” Natasha takes one of the teddy bears in her hand, “I’ll still do it over and over.”
Carol presses a kiss on her temple, “You and I both.”
“Aww, you guys are so cute!” You come back with cotton candy and a box of salty caramel popcorn, it’s Carol’s favorite.
You feed both of your girlfriends some popcorn and let them take a bite of the cotton candy, “We should take a ride on the Ferris wheel, we can see the sunset from there, that would be beautiful.”
“That’ll be awesome.” Natasha says before licking up the salty caramel left on her thumb, and you didn’t miss her smile when you and Carol swallowed hard.
She put her index finger in front of Carol, "Want some?“
Carol holds Natasha’s wrist and puts her finger in her mouth, you take the last bite of the cotton candy, slightly hoping it is you.
Natasha looks over to you, "Don’t worry, princess, I’ll have something special for you, too.”
You can feel your heart miss a beat and your body heats up as she says that. “F- Ferris wheel?”
“Yeah, let’s go.” Carol picks up the teddy bears so you can hold their hands.
“We can’t all sit on the same side.” Natasha says looking at the Ferris wheel.
“Do you know that time Peter was in Europe and he had to save his friends in a Ferris wheel because he was left unsupervised with a bad guy.” MJ told you that, she thinks it’s hilarious, but Peter doesn’t.
“I’m supervising you two.” It doesn’t take Natasha a second to reply.
“Me?” Carol turns to Nat looking surprised.
“She thinks we’re kids,” You explain, “humph, I’m sitting with Carol. Nat sit with the teddies.”
“Alright, just get in the cabin.”
The city looks different from when you see it from your room window or from the Quinjet, it looks magnificent embellished with golden hour, you lie in Carol’s arms and enjoy a moment of silence.
Only a moment.
“Nat, Naaat.”
“Yes?” Your spy girlfriend smiles at you. She probably knows what you’re up to.
“You look glamorous basking in the sunlight, you’re so golden.” You know they know the lyrics; you’ve been playing it non-stop. “I want cuddles.”
“You don’t like my cuddles, princess?” Carol acts a bit hurt.
“You know I do. But I want Natty’s cuddles too.” You answer your glow-in-the-dark girlfriend with a kiss in her palm.
“Come.” Natasha reaches out her hands.
You shift sides quickly trying not to imbalance the cabin, then smile satisfyingly in Natasha’s embrace.
“I like this, we should do it more often.”
After the Ferris wheel ride, you tried some thrill rides including roller coasters and Tilt-A-Whirl, but thanks to your very solid training, none of you feel they’re thrilling enough, unlike when Maria Hill pushed you off the Quinjet without giving you the parachute.
Still, you head home happily after a delightful date with your girlfriends, and you send Carol the photo of Nat looking gorgeous on the Ferris wheel so you can set it as your wallpaper.
You put the teddies on Carol and Nat’s side of the bed because, well, Carol’s bad at shooting, and Nat will look ridiculously cute with a teddy. Also, you can mock her with that.
*
“We will do this more often, promise.” Natasha’s lips land on your forehead.
