During their journey to cure themselves of the mind flayer parasite, each of them meet Cerulia Moonridge in their own unique encounters. Their jaded or guarded hearts did their best to shield from Cerulia's affection and kindness or daresay, his mischievousness.
Nobody dared to move forward to confess their feelings to him lest they want a full out brawl in the camp, fighting for his love but alas they can watch from afar as he shyly confesses to Astarion who look very surprised and inwardly delighted but also feeling sympathy for his other companions.
The others didn't feel too sad though because Cerulia is still their friends and that's what matters then somehow they began a small almost deadly competition of trying to have a date with Cerulia and Wyll, the lucky bastard wins. He managed to surprise him with a dance that made Cerulia giggling and letting Wyll kiss him.
The next morning, Astarion the possessive bastard teases Cerulia and at same time asking politely if he wants to be with Wyll and he can see Cerulia's hurt and nervous eyes but a determination and love shine through as he firmly decides he is Astarion's. During their private time, Astarion told the other that he and Cerulia talked about the other's feelings for him and they both agreed they let the others take him out on a date but if they want to spend a night with him, Astarion has to be there and they all agree.
This leads to very tight and close bonds towards each other and especially towards Cerulia, it's very frustrating to see enemies seem to like targeting Cerulia during their battles. Not only that, he likes to be reckless, dashing through the enemies just to help any downed members which results in him getting more bloodied and injured than the rest of them.
They made a name for themselves in Baldur's Gate, known as The Protectors and the Paradise Bird. Cerulia loves to perform in the taverns or at the fountain to either earn some coins or to just entertain the people and with his reputation of saving a lot of people, he has a lot of hidden enemies that want to kill him.
But none succeeded as the protectors guard him fiercely like an owlbear mother, there were many instances that have happened.
Karlach had to glare menacingly at a suspicious person that is intently focused on approaching Cerulia who was bargaining with a vegetable seller and she had to hold her greatsword tightly, silently taunting the person to come closer which the person didn't do so as they turn tailed and ran...only to meet their demise by Astarion and Shadowheart in the shadows.
The next time it happened, it was with Gale and Wyll, the three were visiting Wyll at his workplace a.k.a anyplace where his work takes him to so they bumped into him purely by accident, Cerulia was walking and talking with Gale when he was literally swoop in a hug by strong familiar arms, he had squeaked in surprised and stubbornly refused to acknowledge of his squeak.
Wyll's current job is to help chase out or kill every goblins in a small town that was invaded by them, the townspeople begged for any help that can chase the awful goblins out of their town so they can continue live in peace without worrying of being killed or pillaged so naturally both of them agreed.
Cerulia helped the people by giving soft ballads over a campfire and in the morning, help the people finding items that they lost or needed while Gale keep a watch of the surroundings, meanwhile Wyll is asking around with the other blade of frontiers about the whereabouts of the goblins and why they are attacking.
Then suddenly the goblins came in, charging to attack the town again and this made the townspeople run the opposite direction leaving only the heroes facing off the goblins. They were talking and bluntly asking them why they are attacking when suddenly Gale hears Cerulia making a confused noise and he turns around and sees him being blinded by a spell and stuck in place by the ensnaring vines then all hell breaks loose.
They goblins keen on either taking Cerulia out first or take him back to their camp as a pet which leave an awful taste in the companion's mouths but luckily for them, Cerulia managed to get out of the vines as soon as a blade frontiers man dispell the blind spell and he easily hurl out spells after spells at the goblins, with combined efforts, leaving none alive.
When they returned home, Astarion was there at the gate, looking very worried as he manhandled Cerulia to check for any hidden injuries before asking if Gale and Wyll are alright. Wyll is still at the place, cleaning up the bloody mess of the goblins so Gale answered for both of them that they're fine and honestly, he doesn't feel offended to be ignored and asked the very last second after Astarion checked on his lover. He bids farewell to them after walking home to his house and pet Tara before retiring to bed.
The next time it happened, Lae'zel, Halsin, Astarion, Minsc and Jaheira with Cerulia were out on a small adventure. The tiefling got news about a possible group of cultist trying to summon an entity to wreck the world so they set off to destroy their plans and during the fight to stop the ritual, Cerulia was pushed to the the summoning circle just in bad timing as the a minotaur got released behind him and it snorts and grabs him, holding in his arm as he roars in anger and attacks the cult members and the party while Cerulia just give a commentary from it's hold while the party groan and went to save Astarion's husband.
In the end, they rescue Cerulia when Halsin and Jaheira knock the minotaur ass flat to the ground and Astarion with Minsc quickly pull him out from it's hand and Cerulia waste no time and cast vicious mockery on the minotaur which gave a howl of pain and dies. Leaving them stunned, they all stared at Cerulia who just sheepishly shrugged and cheerfully looted the corpses for anything valuable or useful.
