Bzzz!
Gaku looked down at his phone. He had a very serious expression on his face. He was at home alone but if others were around then they would be worried. The matters of the message on his phone had said something important.
[Iori: Nanase-san seems to sleep closer to the wall with the blanket closer to him. You said Kujo-san does the same. Did Kujo-san tell you what animal he sees themselves as?]
Yes, that is correct! This is very important subject! The two have been secretly messaging each other for months now. How did the two have a secret RabbiChat over the twins? The duo would never say as it seems utterly embarrassing.
The Nanase twins were out playing at the arcade. They tried to make sure they would meet up time-to-time and have fun! Riku’s lips quivered slightly. He grabbed his brother’s shoulders to shake. “Tenn-niiiii...! That plushie looks like Iori! Can you help me get it?”
“I’ll help you but I don’t see why you would want that thing. He only does decent at his job.”
“Eh? What’s his job?”
‘Taking care of you, Riku...’ Tenn bit his tongue. He hated to lie so he usually kept his mouth shut. He sighed, putting the coins in the claw machine. The machine at a black grumpy rabbit. It’s almost too cute for someone like him.
At the other side of the arcade floor, Iori held back a sneeze. Perhaps it’s the dust that is making him sneeze? All the more reason to get closer! He slowly walked to the next isle of games. The claw machines were always at the front. Just... enough... to make sure.... no one... sees him!
“Izumi otouto?”
Or so he thought-
Iori turned around in completely shock. “Yaotome-san?! What are you doing here?!”
Gaku shushed the other, lowering their bodies together. He spoke in a loud whisper, “Shhh! They could have heard us! What are you doing here?”
“I asked you first.... But you are older than me so I will tell you. I came here to see if the two are getting along. They haven’t seen each other in a long time from our busy schedules. Nanase-san was crying last week because he missed his brother. He’s a brocon but it’s understandable to miss a family member.” He spoke so maturely as if he wasn’t a brocon too.
“I get it.” The silver idol nodded in agreement. He sighed before gathering his thoughts. “Tenn was the same way. He didn’t cry but he did look down until yesterday. He didn’t tell us why. Just that he was going out. I got worried and followed him.”
“Yay!! Tenn-nii you got it!” Riku hugged his brother with the plushie in his hands. The atmosphere with the two seemed so friendly, sweet as if there was flowers in the air.
Gaku softly smiled at the sight. He turned his head to see Iori lifting up his phone to take a picture of Riku’s happy face. His smile disappeared to a deadpan look.
The high schooler cleared his throat. “I-I needed to check if my camera works. That’s all.”
“Right..... Have you followed them before?”
“N-No....” He said lying through his teeth. Then again, Gaku didn’t want to admit he’s followed before too.
"Send me that picture. I want to crop it to see Tenn."
A worker walked past the two younger men crouching down on the floor to watch the twins. She didn’t know if she should call authorities but it seems like they weren’t doing anything so far. Just being strange. Is this what the young people are doing these days?
“Tenn-nii!! Doesn’t that plushie look like Yaotome-san! You tell me he’s like a wolf!”
The silver idol’s quickly peeked his head to see the twins. He noticed Tenn blushing, shaking his head. “He sees me as a wolf?”
“No, he sees you as a husky wolf. Nanase-san told me the list of animals Kujo-san refers to us as. I do not see myself as a rabbit.” Iori had an annoyed look. Surely, he secretly liked cute things but he desired to protect the cute. Not be the cute.
“What else has Tenn told him? He doesn’t talk much about himself or his brother.” If Gaku had canine ears and a tail then it would be certainly be droopy. It made the high school feel a little sorry for TRIGGER’s leader.
“When were eating dinner, Nanase-san was telling all of us that he is reading a new book. It was recommended to him. I remember clearly because he was saving his favourite piece of food on the side.” The dark blue idol pondered at the end. He rubbed his chin in thought.
Oh? That is news to the silver haired idol. “Does he take a bite and leave it on the side to eat for later? Tenn does that.”
Iori’s eyes widen. He was surprised due to how Riku did that too!
One thing lead to another in talking about how similar the twins are. If only they were paying attention to the twins now. They had gotten plushies that reminded them of their friends.
[Gaku: Hey, Izumi Otouto. I talked with Tenn. He said he sees Nanase as a dog and himself as a cat.]
He put his phone down and laid back on the couch. He was going to rest his eyes for a little bit. ‘Heh, Tenn as a kitten would be cute. Maybe he would be more honest.’
Time passed and something warm laid on Gaku’s stomach. Something soft, fluffy.
“Meow~. Meow meow~.”
Why did it sound like Tenn? He forced his body to wake up. One eye open to see a little light pink fluff cotton ball. “Wha....? Tenn?” He reached his hand to grab it.
“Meow?!” A bit of that fluff slapped his hand away.
Why did it act like Tenn too? This time, he grabbed what was in front him and sat up. ‘Ah...... It looks like him too....’ A tiny fluffy light pink kitten was in his hands. The eyes on this kitten looked exactly like idol. “You look smaller than usual....”
Chomp! The kitten bit Gaku’s finger.
“Ow...!” This made the silver idol wake up completely. He looked at the kitten still in his hands. Hold on a second.... Why is a kitten here?!
Bzzz! Bzzz!
He placed the kitten down and reached for his phone. He didn’t see who the caller ID was but who cares. Why is there a kitten here?!
“Yaotome-san! Have you seen Nanase-san? There’s a puppy in our dorms. We were wondering if you saw him!” Iori’s voice cracked. He was in a panic.
His gut was telling him that this little kitten and the puppy might be the twins. “What does the puppy look like? Red hair like him too?”
