A lone scout is mining nitra on a simple morkite mining mission.
Once he finishes he grapples over to molly and deposited his nitra
Then he hears an engineer call for him in the distance, but something was off about it, and mission control never told him about another dwarf, but he brushed it off as an effect of the caves and mission control missing it.
The scout follows the voice.
He enters the cave and he can’t see much because he forgot to conserve his flares
The scout doesn't see, or hear the engineer
But then he heard it again. And he realized what was wrong with the voice. It was a recording. He turned around only to see an octahedron shaped robot with 2 claws and glowing lights all over. Shit. it’s a nemesis. The scout thought as the nemesis said “Dwarf detected!”
Then one of its claws shoots out and grabs the poor scout as the nemesis says “Destroy!” and it starts to crush him in its claw.
But then he heard mission control call out “Cavalry's here. New miner inbound” and then a personal drop pod comes down, and out comes the driller. He sees Scout in danger and starts shooting flames at the nemesis. He starts burning the arm the scout is caught in so that the nemesis is forced to drop scout, and it works.
Driller then grabs the scout's hand, pulls him off the ground. Scout says “I never thought i would be this happy to see you ya yellow bastard” as they are running.
They run, and run, until the cave ends, and the driller shouts “a dead end!” before taking out his terrain scanner and confirming his worries. “We are stuck, and the only way out is to fight off the nemesis.”
Scout calls a resupply, and driller sets one of his satchel charges at the entrance. They train their weapons on the entrance. Driller says “you ready?” and Scout responds with “as ready as i'll ever be”
They raise their pickaxes into the air and shout:
“FOR ROCK AND STONE!”
