Gotham hasn't changed, still as dirty and dark as it's been for Jason's entire life. Maybe in a different situation he'd relish the familiarity in being here again, back in the parts of the city he grew up in, the ones forgotten by the cops but not by the Bat.
Jason clenches his fist and imagines feeling his nails through the glove, digging into his palm and letting him think. He needs to focus. Needs to ground himself. He's got a mission, and he's going to start it with a bang.
