Eleven Years

Summary:

It's Nick and Charlie's eleven year anniversary of moving to their not so new home and Nick is feeling sappy (who's shocked?)

Notes:

It's eleven years, today, since I left my home country and moved to my adopted one. I moved for the cliched reason, I married an American, who I met under less cliched circumstances, where neither of us was from. I thought I'd commemorate today by writing an anniversary story for our guys.

Work Text:

“Can you believe it’s been eleven years, babe?” Nick asked as Charlie walked out of his study at the end of the day.

“Eleven years, huh?” Charlie nodded over. “That doesn’t feel real. Can you remember life before this?” Charlie wrapped his arms around Nick’s waist and nestled into his husband's broad chest.

“Before you and me and a house that’s our home? Before we moved to the other end of the country? No, not with any clarity! What’s to remember, this is when my life started.”

“You are the sappiest of all saps. Take me to bed, to celebrate?”
