Chapter Text
Joy didn’t expect her life to end so soon. One moment, she was driving home from a late-night study session, singing along to “Carry On Wayward Son” on the radio, and the next, she was hurtling toward a blinding light. It was quick, painless—and deeply unfair.
When the light faded, she opened her eyes and saw an unfamiliar room. Sunlight filtered through gauzy curtains, illuminating shelves filled with trophies, family photos, and framed posters. Her heart raced as she realized the posters weren’t random—they were from Supernatural. Her favorite show.
“What the—?” she muttered, sitting up. That’s when she caught sight of her reflection in the mirror on the far wall.
The face staring back at her wasn’t hers.
It was younger, with green eyes and blonde hair pulled into a messy ponytail. She lifted her hand to touch her cheek, watching in stunned silence as the reflection mimicked her movements.
Panic bubbled in her chest, but before she could process what was happening, a knock sounded on the door.
“Justice, are you awake?”
The voice was deep, warm, and unmistakable.
Jensen Ackles.
Her heart skipped a beat as the door opened, and there he stood—Jensen Ackles, her favorite actor, her teenage crush, her hero.
But he wasn’t dressed as Dean Winchester. He was just Jensen, wearing a casual flannel shirt and jeans, his hair slightly tousled.
“Breakfast is ready,” he said, flashing a smile that made her stomach flip. “C’mon, kiddo. Don’t make me drag you downstairs.”
Kiddo?
Joy blinked, her mind racing. This couldn’t be real. It had to be a dream. But as Jensen turned and walked away, she pinched herself, hard. The sting confirmed it: this was no dream.
