Chapter Text
He tightens the strings of his straw hat closer to his neck. The wind had picked up, which was entirely his fault, but he didn’t care. He was confidently walking in the village called Jamanakai. The man finally found a new clue to the tomb of the first spinjitzu master. Of course, most of them were fake, but he still tried, he couldn’t give up. He will defy destiny. Suddenly there was loud screaming and dragons flying above his head. The man with the straw hat hid behind a building. He wanted nothing to do with this, but alas, curiosity got the better of him.
There was a kid screaming and trying to laugh evil, which felt too forced and not creepy at all.
‘I, Lloyd Garmadon, demand all the candy in town!’
Then there came four colourful ninja, and they were talking about what to do with him. So sensei Wu is training new ninja? And Garmadon? Where have I heard that name before? He saw how the four ninja carried the little one, and that was his clue to leave. With all the commotion, I will find nothing here.
A few days passed, and the man was trying to meditate in the forest. His straw hat laying next to him and his katana within hand reach. He had gone back to the village but found nothing. He heard some people talk about serpentine, and he swore he heard that little boy talk about releasing them. But it’s all big talk, it’s not his problem. Because for some reason, he always attracted some kind of evil person who wants to fight him, and when he heard a sound coming from one of the bushes. He grabbed his katana. Again? He listened but heard nothing.
‘Who is there?’
Still no sound. He opened his eyes and looked around, but saw nothing. Am I really going paranoid? It was as if the FSM heard him, and another sound came from the bushes. Okay, no, I’m not going insane. He stood up, grabbing his straw hat and katana.
‘Come on, I know you’re there.’
Then he saw blond hair peeking out. It was the same boy that was making a scene in Jamanakai village. The little boy dusted himself off and they both just stared at each other. Morro felt like he needed to say something.
‘Uh… Lloyd right?’
‘Yeah! Do I know you?’
‘No, you don’t. But I heard you back in Jamanakai village.’
‘Oh! So, did you see those colourful ninja?’
‘Yeah, what about them?’
‘I hate them! They keep meddling with my business! And right now, I was looking for a way to get stronger! But then I saw you, and I kinda just kept staring… You look so strong…’
The little boy blushed, and raised his hands.
‘I wasn’t going to stalk you or anything! I wanted to leave, but your katana kinda scared me, sorry.’
The man with the straw hat kept staring. Lloyd looked at his weapon, he seemed a bit ashamed of himself.
‘You want to get revenge on them?’
The boy nods and looked at him. And oh boy, now he puts the pieces together. This boy is the son of THE Garmadon, the nephew of Wu. How did he forget!? The crimson eyes and blond hair. He’s like a mix of them both. But where is his mother? What was her name again? Misako? Yeah, that was it… there must be a reason why he’s here? Maybe he can help me get to the tomb? He is a relative, and ha, how funny it would be to see sensei’s face when he realizes I trained him. Ha, hell yeah! I show him who’s the best ninja, and how good I trained him! That I can still be the Green ninja!
‘What about a deal? I train you, which will be hard if you want to beat them, and you will get your revenge, I can even help you if necessary. But you will have to accompany me through my travels with no complaints, okay?’
‘Deal! You won’t regret it! But can I know your name?’
‘Morro, but you call me Master Morro.’
