Work Text:
After his wife’s death, Dad didn’t know how to move forward. He had made progress with Crow’s help with the boys and forcing him to work through his grief. But the fight with Despair that night was almost worse than finding his world lying on the ground, covered in blood. In an almost poetic way, Dad was lying on the ground, covered in alcohol.
Crow stood over him, watching him, talking to him. Dad rolled onto his side.
The boys hid behind the couch as Crow's words replaced him.
Dad let out a sob as his world faded away again.
