What if the Guardians were trapped in Hyrule?
Chapter 1
Will grunted as she collided with the ground, before Irma landed on top of her, followed by other Guardians.
“Elyon!” Cried Cornelia, “No! Wait!”
The portal that sent them to the strange world closed, leaving them stranded in the forest. Cornelia stared at the empty space where the portal had been, before she scowled.
“This is all your fault!” Yelled Cornelia, glaring at Will.
“What?!” Snapped Will, returning the glare, “How is this my fault?! You took the heart, went to Meridian and practically handed it over!”
“That only happened because you let Elyon get taken!” Shrieked Cornelia, storming up to Will, “This only started because you turned up!”
“Oh, so my existence is the problem?!” Spat Will, glaring up at Cornelia.
“If the shoe fits!”
Will scoffed and threw her hands in the air, before turning around and walking along a path near where they landed.
“Where’re you going?!” Demanded Cornelia, as the others watched Will walk away.
“For a walk!”

Phobos looked down at the Heart of Kandrakar, scowling as it faded from a warm pink to a dull grey.
“What’s wrong with it?” Asked Elyon, confused.
“The Guardians took the Hearts power with them.” Explained Cedric, “That’s now nothing but an empty container.”
Elyon looked confused, before looking at Phobos, “What are you going to do?”
Phobos was silent for a moment, before looking at them, “I am going to follow them, my dear sister, I cannot allow them to unleash their wrath on an innocent world.”
Elyon gave him a small smile, before her brother looked at Cedric, “Look after them while I’m gone.”
Cedric nodded, before Phobos opened a portal and walked through it.

Lionel frowned, the Queen had ordered him to Faron to clear out a monster camp, but all he could find were carcasses, bones and burn marks.
“This is either going to be the easiest or hardest monster clearing task of our lives.” Said Arn, one of the Royal Knights sent with his crew.
“And you’ve just jinxed it, congratulations.” Sniped Rylla, the other knight.
Lionel heard a quiet rustle to his left, before a Sheikah popped out of the bushes to his right. Impa quietly looked around, before turning to them, “Anything?”
“No.” Answered Lionel, “Think it was a hoax?”
A scream answered Lionel’s question before Impa could, then they heard what sounded like a lightning strike, followed by the death cry of a Moblin.
“No.” Answered Impa, before charging towards the source of the sound, with Arn and Rylla following her.
Lionel looked at his men, “Ori, Karin, Rhode, Cal, head down the path. Be ready to cut off any escape attempts.”
The four nodded, before running to different sections of the path, as Lionel and his men followed after the Knights and Impa. The sight that greeted them in the clearing was strange, to say the least, a girl, roughly thirteen or fourteen, with Gerudo red hair and reddish-brown eyes was curled up with her back against a tree. In front of her were several dead monsters, ranging from a Bokoblin to a Lizalfos, she was speaking a strange language and had lightning sparking off her fingers.
“Stay back.” Murmured Impa, slowly approaching the girl.
The girl shook her head and started speaking more rapidly, waving her hands as if she was trying to tell Impa to stay away, before a burst of lightning shot out of her hands, hitting the ground where Impa had suddenly vanished.
The girl looked terrified, before Impa reappeared next to her and stunned her with a Deku-Nut. The girl let out a short scream and grabbed at her eyes. In one quick move, Impa managed to knock her out and pick her up.
“Arn, Rylla, escort us back to the castle.” Ordered Impa, stepping past Lionel and his men, “The Royal Library might help us talk to her.”
The two knights nodded, before heading to their horses with Impa taking the girl to hers.

“So…” Irma glanced around, “…it’s getting dark… should one of us get Will?”
Cornelia scoffed and decided to glare at a waterfall. They’d found they still had their powers, with Taranee starting a fire and Irma getting them some water to drink. Hay Lin had found some mushrooms, carrots, radishes and peppers, while Irma used her powers to catch some fish to go with what Hay Lin was cooking.
“You can’t just blame Will.” Said Taranee, “We all knew, and we all could’ve told Elyon at any time, but we didn’t.”
Cornelia’s shoulders tensed, before she looked in the direction Will went. Frowning, she stood up and took a couple of steps towards the dark.
“Do you guys hear anything?” Asked Cornelia, looking back at the other three.
“Crickets?” Responded Irma.
“The water?” Suggested Taranee.
“The fire?” Added Hay Lin.
“No,” Cornelia shook her head, “like something coming out of the ground.”
“Ta sa Stal Bokoblin.” Said an Old voice, making them jump and look at a man with white hair and red eyes, “Kal meas talokapit lu nae li.”
The girls blinked, before looking at each other. Taranee frowned, before getting up and taking a position in front of the others, “Who are you?”
The man frowned, before producing a slate and some chalk, scrawling something down, before handing it to Taranee. Frowning, the girl looked at it, seeing a bunch of symbols. Quickly counting them, she almost dropped the slate.
“Taranee?” Cornelia stepped towards her.
Taranee took the chalk from the man and wrote the corresponding letter under each position in his alphabet. The man looked down at it, before smiling.

“Are you sure they don’t mind?” Asked Hay Lin, carefully pronouncing the language the man, Rhoom, had been teaching them over the past two months they’d been here.
“We Sheikah are best known for our hospitality.” Said Rhoom, “And, we have a direct line to the King and Queen of Hyrule.”
“And they’ll help us find out friend?” Asked Irma, getting a chuckle from Rhoom.
“Depends,” Answered Rhoom, “They may get some guards or villages to look. It was a stupid thing to do, going off on her own, especially with the number of monster camps there are.”
Rhoom didn’t want to tell them that their friend was most likely dead.
Meanwhile, in Hyrule Castle, Will watched Queen Kara as she created a small orb of light.
“Now,” The Queen looked at her, while her two-year-old daughter watched the pair, “You try.”
Will copied Kara’s actions, before the lightning-like energy she’d started emitting formed in her hand. Observing it in slight awe, the ball suddenly shot off and bounced around the library, with the guards and Impa dodging the ball. Kara flung her hand out and caught the ball in her hand, before dissipating it.
“Your control’s gotten better,” Said Kara, as Zelda giggled, “the Gerudo will be able to help you refine it further, and, I’ll dare say, you’ll fit right in.”
Will tried to give her a smile but wasn’t able to. After they’d gotten past the language barrier, Will silently thanked all the Gods that she was a fast learner, she’d told the Queen about her friends, but they only found the remains of some skeletal monsters and a fire pit.
“We still haven’t heard anything.” Said Kara, making Will look down, “But, we’ll keep looking, I promise you.”
Will nodded, as Impa approached her, “It’s time, my lady.”
It took Will a second to realise that Impa was talking to her, nodding, Will stood up and smooth the dress she’d been given, before following the Sheikah out of the room. Kara watched after them, before standing and picking up Zelda and followed after them.

Rhoom led the girls out of Kakariko, pulling a telescope and looking towards the Castle, “Heh, Impa’s taking someone to the Gerudo.”
“Who?” Asked Irma, looking at the man.
“The Royal Bodyguard,” Answered Rhoom, “She’s a Sheikah, like me. And the Gerudo are one of the five races of Hyrule.”
The girls shared a look, before following Rhoom down a hill, as the man continued to speak, “There’s a stable nearby, with some luck, we can rent five horses. It’ll speed up our journey to the castle.”
Cornelia frowned, before looking at the wallet he’d given her, “How much do they cost?”
“Twenty rupees,” Answered Rhoom, “it’s the red one, you remember what the colours mean?”
“Green is one, blue is five, yellow is ten, red is twenty, purple is fifty, silver is one-hundred and gold is three hundred.” Recited Taranee, before looking into her own wallet, “You said these can hold up to a hundred rupees, but all of them are the same size, so what’s stopping us from just filling it with purple, silver and gold rupees?”
“The land you come from, you said it was called Heatherfield, right?” Rhoom looked back at her, “What happens when someone tries to pay for something that’s five rupees with a gold rupee?”
“They’re asked for something smaller.” Said Taranee, before a look of realisation appeared on hr face, “the vendors won’t accept them, unless we buy enough to warrant them.”
“There are bank branches dotted across Hyrule,” Rhoom grunted and he almost tripped over a rock, “but the main one is located in the five capitals, the most affluent one being in Gerudo Town and Castle Town. Although, technically, Goron City and Zora’s Domain could be considered as such, but the Gorons have a tendency to eat the gemstones, and the Zora hold their metal work to a higher standard than everything else.”
“Why?” Asked Cornelia, wondering what made metal work better than money.
“The Zora can live up to a thousand years,” Explained Rhoom, “the last thing they’d want is to have their favourite spear shatter after fifty years.”
“Who’s that?” Hay Lin’s question got Rhoom’s attention as he followed her finger.
A small man in a skintight green leotard and red underpants was floating in the air, suspended by a balloon. Rhoom let out a quiet groan, “That, is a con artist and his name is Tingle.”
“He’s… interesting.” Said Irma, as Tingle rotated in the air, “Is he wearing clothes or body paint?”
“I can’t tell.” Confessed Rhoom, “Just ignore him, he’s just doing it for the attention.”
The man and four girls passed underneath Tingle, before Rhoom quietly spoke with a woman, who left and returned with five horses.
“Right, everyone choose a mount, it’ll be at least two days ride to Castle Town.” Said Rhoom, as he mounted a black and white socked horse.
