For Shen Yi and Du Cheng, they had never really had much of a romantic history with partners.
Shen Yi was always busy with one project or another, not having much of the time nor ego to let another into the private space he had built around himself. He closed his thoughts and feelings up in there, masking it with his usual slight smile that had been practiced.
Du Cheng had never had that much interest in dating and love, brushing off the nagging from both his sister and a few female colleagues from the team. His job doesn't allow for him to have much of life outside of the station, always being holed up in his office with a mountain of work.
Then the two met and somehow, they worked.
Shen Yi wasn't aware of the space Du Cheng had created for himself in his own private room and Du Cheng was never aware of the way Shen Yi integrated himself so perfectly into his life.
By the time the two of them noticed, it was too late to get rid of the other.
One would think that physical intimacy to be harder for the two, but somehow it was just more difficult.
Shen Yi was oblivious to physical attraction, always analysing every little detail.
Du Cheng was always too fretful and worried about losing control to actually do anything to the fragile artist.
Kisses had become their way of showing love.
