January 2nd, 2022...Somewhere in Tokyo's Ikebukuro district...
Fuma: (While sitting in front of the table in the alleyway) I wonder if there's anyone coming to my Odd Jobs stall...
Then Fuma sees Kotatsu approach him with a letter in its paws.
Fuma: (To Kotatsu) Oh...! Welcome back Kotatsu!
Fuma sees the flyer that Kotatsu is holding.
Fuma: Is that a flyer you've got here...? Let me have a read...
Fuma takes the flyer from Kotatsu and begins to read it...
"WANTED - Four young enthusiastic boys to form the new Holostars group. You have 7 days to form the new Holostars group before signing a contract with Cover Corporation. I'll be looking forward to seeing you soon. Shinove"
Fuma: So this Shinove guy is looking for four guys to form a new Holostars group eh...?
Then Fuma looks up at the large monitor on one of the buildings across the road from his Odd Jobs stall and sees clips from the Holostars 1st Act Concert playing on it.
Fuma: Holostars...They've had their first live concert a short while ago...
And then...
Fuma: It's decided...! Starting today, I'm going to form a new Holostars group with three other guys, and soon we'll become the best group ever!
Six days later...
Fuma: (Feeling frustrated) Gah...! It's been six days and I still haven't found them yet...! And I only have one last day to find them...! This is bad...!
Fuma enters a very elegant-looking cafe.
Fuma: (Sighing sadly) I need a break from all that searching...
Uyu: (Sees Fuma) Oh...! Welcome to my cafe Mr Yatogami...! What's with the long face...?
Fuma: (To Uyu) I've been searching all over Tokyo for a couple of guys to form a new Holostars group with...
Uyu: (To Fuma) A new Holostars group...?
Fuma shows Uyu the letter.
Uyu: (After reading the letter) Ooooh...! A new Holostars group...!
Fuma: (To Uyu) That's right...
Uyu: (To Fuma happily) I would love to form a new Holostars group with you...! By day I operate this elegant cafe, but by night I steal from the rich and wealthy as the Phantom Thief Utsugi Uyu...!
Fuma: (Now feeling happy) Alright...! I've found you at last...! The name's Yatogami Fuma, and I'm a youkai who does odd jobs and I'm good at cleaning up.
Uyu: Now that there's two of us, we need to find a third fellow to join us. Someone who's incredibly talented in the art and creativity department.
Fuma: (To Uyu) And who's that incredibly talented fellow...?
Uyu showed Fuma while pointing this thumb at Ganma who is casually drawing a picture of the two of them in his sketchbook before going to the table where he's sitting at.
A minute after that...
Ganma: (To both Fuma and Uyu) So you want an incredibly talented guy like me to form a new Holostars group with the two of you...?
Fm/Uy: (To Ganma while nodding in unison) Yes!
Ganma: Then you've found the right guy...! Me, the Hyper Pari-Pi Manga Artist Hizaki Ganma! I've always wanted to join a group where I can expand my horizons and draw amazing works of art that everyone's gonna love!
Fuma: (To Ganma) You sure have alot of passion for art...!
Uyu: And now we've found our third member...! All that's left is to find our fourth and final member and our group will be complete...!
Ganma: (To both Fuma and Uyu) But it ain't gonna be easy finding a fourth member here...
Fuma: But I can definitely feel someone's presence here...
Uyu: Who??
Ganma: Where??
Fuma: (Gets his parchment out...) Leave it to me to make that one person appear before us...!
Fuma threw the parchment out and...
Voice: (Gets hit by Fuma's parchment) Ow!
And then after that the ghost named Rio instantly became visible in front of Fuma, Uyu and Ganma...!
Ganma: (Sees Rio) Ack! A ghost!
Uyu: (Praising Fuma) Very impressive Fuma...!
Rio: (To Fuma, Uyu and Ganma while feeling confused) What's going on here...? I thought people weren't supposed to see me because I'm a ghost...
Fuma: (To Rio) But thanks to one of my spiritual parchments, you're completely visible to everyone including us. And we've been looking for the fourth and final member to form a new Holostars group with. Would you like to join us...?
Rio: (To his new friends) O-Of course...! I've always wanted to be an idol, but sadly I died a long time ago before I had a chance to fulfil my dream of becoming an idol.
Fuma: (To Rio) Don't worry about it...We'd love to have you with us. We'll get to meet the current 9 Holostars senpais soon, and we're going to have lots of fun together. Just think of us and our senpais as one big family.
Rio: One big family...
Rio then smiled with a couple of tears slowly trickling down from his eyes.
Rio: (To his new friends) My name's Minase Rio. It's nice to meet you.
Fuma: At last...! I've found the four of us to form a new Holostars group...!
Uyu: Now then...We need a name for ourselves as a group.
Ganma: Yeah...! And it'd better be a great name for the four of us...!
Rio: That's right...! But first we need to go to this Cover Corporation place and sign a contract with it...!
Fuma, Uyu, Ganma and Rio put their hands out and formed a pact with each other.
UPROAR: We're going to become the best Holostars group ever!
One month later, at one of the office rooms at Cover Corporation...
Fuma: I guess the group name "UPROAR" fits us perfectly.
Uyu: (To Fuma) That's true Fuma...We're as loud and enthusiastic as Mr Shinove thought we would be.
Ganma: Look out world! We're gonna rock the entire idol industry!
Rio: But first we need to make preparations for our debut next month.
Ganma: (To Rio) That's right!
And that's the story of how four people met each other and formed UPROAR three years ago.
