Chapter Text
Chapter One: Milkshake Magic
After another mostly boring day at work, Isabella was ready to go home and get some serious gaming done. She had just picked up the new Legend of Zelda game, and was stopping by a Circle K to grab some snacks(and despite what her roommate might say, gummy worms definitely count as snacks). She had even had a milkshake before running her errand, unfortunately she was regretting it as her stomach protested the sudden influx of milk.
This is worse than usual, what did they put in my shake? She thought as a sudden wave of nausea overtook her. She ate a Tums and it was gone soon enough, but still, Isabella was not having a good time, and wishing the guy in front of her would hurry up and pick a cigarette brand.
After waiting entirely way too long, it was finally Isabella’s turn at the register. The cashier rang her up, and after purchasing her sweet, colorful treasure, she started to make her way to the bus stop. However, right after leaving the store, another wave of nausea even worse than the previous one washed over her, leaving her dizzy and forcing her to drop to her knees.
Seriously, what did they put in that milkshake?!?!?! Was her last thought before falling unconscious.

Okay, she’s new. That was the first thought Link had upon reaching Lookout Landing. He might not know everyone in Hyrule personally, but he had seen all of them at least once, and thus was pretty sure this lady was new. After all, most people had seen Lookout Landing before, and she was just standing in front of the gates, not moving. How long was he on that island anyway?
Well, whatever. I’ll just ask her myself, and then I can go look for Zelda.
“Excuse me! Are you alright?”
The lady startled and whipped around to face him. She had a mix of shock and disbelief on her face, and as Link stepped closer, he could hear vague mutterings that sounded like “this is a dream, its not real, hurry and wake up or she’s gonna go ballistic-” and deciding that that was not a good sign, hurried closer and grabbed her hand. The lady sounded a bit like Zelda did whenever she had a particularly bad nightmare, so it should work, right?
Well, it didn’t. Actually, it seemed to have the opposite effect, as instead of calming down, the lady went silent for a moment before screaming, very loudly in fact, and falling unconscious.
Well shit. What do I do with an unconscious person again!?!? Do I move them? Wait, no, that might make it worse. Am I supposed to try and wake them up or-
Link was broken out of his panicked haze by a voice shouting “Okay, now where have you BEEN? Linky…HOLY FUCK WHO IS THAT!?!?!”
“...Hi Purah.”
