Work Text:

“Okay, we need to decide what to do for next Saturday.” Minho said as he walked into the living room with a bowl of popcorn. Jisung grabbed a handful the second Minho set it down on the table. “Anyone got any idea’s?” Jisung asked with his mouth full, earning a glare from Minho that he didn’t pay attention too. “I kinda wanted to go to an amusement park.” Chan said playing with his hands nervously. “It’s okay if no one wants to go. It’s just that I haven’t been to one since Austerlia.” He confessed. He had recently been hit with a homesickness that didn’t seem to go away. Even now to find a bit of comfort, he wore a hoodie his dad had given him. “Same,” Felix said. “I haven’t been to one in so long.” Changbin took a hold of Chan’s hand. “I vote for an amusement park.” Everyone quickly agreed. “Well, that was fast.” Jisung said as he grabbed an other hand full of popcorn. “We can get fast passes thanks to yours turly” “I’ll get the tickets tonight. Any preference for they park?” Changbin asked. “I don’t know what parks there are here, so any is fine.” Chan said. His attention now turned to playing with Changbin’s fingers. It took the boys a while to settle on an amusement park. They ended up choosing Gyeongju World by vote.

Chan and Felix spent the next week excited about the whole ordeal. Changbin even caught Chan telling his mother about it. It warmed his heart to see his boyfriend this excited after the semi-depressed week he had because of homesickness.

The day arrived faster than they expected. Felix made sure everyone was awake while Chan and Changbin packed everyone’s bags with snacks and everything they needed for the day. Soon enough, everyone was ready to go, even when some of them looked half asleep. They piled into the car at eight because it was quite the drive away. They had appointed Chan and Minho drivers for the drive to, while Changbin and Hyunjin would do the drive back.

When they arrived at the park Felix an Chan practically jumped out of the car earning a round of giggles from both cars which they managed to park next to each other. “Channie baby, we have the whole day here.” Changbin reminded him with a kiss. “Binnie.” Chan whined. “I have been waiting for this all week. Let me be excited.” “Okay, let’s go over our emergency plan quickly.” Changbin reminded everyone about their meet-up spots in case of getting lost and having no battery. When they checked in, Chan made sure everyone had a paper map before they went in.

They went on ride after ride for a while until they tired themselves out and meeting up. “I saved the best for last.” Chan said grinning as he pointed at the biggest ride on the map. “Who is going to go with me?” Changbin seemed to lose color at the thought of it alone. “I rather not, darling.” Disappointment flashed on Chan’s face for a second before he scolded his expression. “It’s okay. I know this ride isn’t for everyone.” Chan reassured Changbin. “Any takers.” Chan asked the rest of the group. “I’m sitting next to Minho.” Jisung declared. Minho whipped his head around so fast that he might have gotten whiplash. “NO!” He quickly declared. Jisung was surprised at the sudden reaction for a second till he remembered Minho’s fear of heights. “Sorry, forgot about that.” Jisung said sheepishly. “I’ll go with you Ji.” Hyunjin offerted. “I’ll go to.” Felix announced Jeongin and Seungmin were right after him.

Changbin and Minho stayed with everyone’s stuff as the other’s went through the fast lane. Chan was bouncing on the balls of his feet while they waited. It would soon be their turn and he had been looking out to this particular ride. Meanwhile, Felix was regretting his decision to come onto the ride. He looked out over the first drop and felt his heart beat a little faster and how his hands became a little sweatier. Jeongin bumped into him, asking him if everything was okay in sign. He had taken out his hearing aid just in case, while Seungmin had put in lenses. Felix signed back ‘I’m fine’ hoping it would settle any worry.

The ride came faster than he wanted it to come. They all quickly got in and strapped themselves in. Hyunjin helped Jisung out of his wheelchair while a staff member took his wheelchair. Felix triple checked if he was strapped in correctly before turning to a very giddy Chan. He didn’t want to ruin his fun but he had to say something in case. “Hyung. I should be fine, but I might faint on this.” “What?” Chan asked with his eyes wide just as the ride started moving. “I should be fine though.” The ride went up slowly, making a ticking noise that helped to fuel Felix nerves. “Do you want to hold my hand?” Chan asked. Felix took his hand, but the second they got to the top Felix let go in favor of holding the railing. As the ride went down, he tried not to scream. He felt his stomach drop and himself become dizzy while he heard screams and Hyunjin’s laugh in the background. The ride went through eight drops and four loops before repeating all over again. Just when Felix thought he would survive, the ride repeated itself, and suddenly everything went black. He blinked his eyes open to find himself still stuck on the ride at full speed. There was a ringing in his ear that wouldn’t stop and he didn’t know if that was the screaming or him. The whole experience was very disorienting. If you asked him, he wouldn’t know up from down. Luckily, it didn’t take long before the ride slowed and rode to a full stop. As he tried to settle himself, he felt a cool hand card through his hair. It was a small comfort.

The ride finally came to a full stop and before he knew it he was carried off the ride. With support from Chan and Jeongin he walked to a seat next to Changbin and Minho. When he finally felt steady enough to move on himself, he had to unfrull himself from where they had put him with his head between his legs. “Oi, Lix how are you feeling?” Chan said in English. His accent was still very thick despite his many years living in Korea. It's something Felix liked about the older. “Lix?” Chan asked. Felix blinked at him before realizing he forgot to answer. “I’m… okay.” His mouth was so dry and his tongue felt heavy. Everything felt like it was still moving around him despite his vision being steady. He figured it was just the lingering feeling of the ride. “You scared me there for a second. You suddenly went limp.” Felix let out a dry chuckle. “Yeah, I do that sometimes.” Minho handed him a bottle of water which he gratefully took with shaky hands. After drinking half he felt a lot better. “I probably should have warned you before the ride started.” Felix admitted feeling guilty. “Yeah. Probably. But what’s done is done now.” Chan said coming through with his hair again. The older always had such a comfortable presence. It was almost like he was Felix his older brother. “You got some color back on your cheeks.” Hyungjin commented. He had nearly forgotten about the others presence. His tunnel vision suddenly opened up. He couldn’t help but blush at Hyunjin’s sudden closeness. Reminded him of secret nights behind closed doors. “Y-yeah. I feel better.” “Here.” Hyunjin handed him a lolly. “You should probably get some sugar in you.” “Thanks.” His heart skipped a beat when his and Hyunjin’s fingers brushed against each other. He mentally scolded himself for the reaction. What he and Hyunjin had going on was strictly business. No feelings involved. Per their agreement, if one got feelings, they should tell the other. But Felix didn’t want to ruin what they have going on. So he convinced himself that the slowly growing feelings he had weren’t real. Just a figment of his imagination. So his heart had no reason to skip a beat.

When he felt good enough to walk again the boys decided to explore the other things the park had to offer besides rides. They settled on the arcade which was next to near the food halls. So they could eat when any of them got hungry.

Hyunjin took that chance to drag Felix away from the group. Chan shouted after him to be careful with Felix since he was still recovering. Hyunjin waved the older man off as he entered a candy store.

“Hyun?” Felix questioned. His heart was beating against his chest at their proximity. Hyunjin still had their hands intertwined, and Felix wasn’t complaining. But he still wasn’t as steady on his feet as he would like, and Hyunjin was going pretty fast through the isle. Maybe not actually that fast but it felt like they were running to Felix. “Hyun, slow down, please.” Hyunjin came to a stop at his request and turned towards him. Both sudden stop and Hyunjin’s intense gaze left Felix feeling dizzy.

“Sorry, got a little too excited.” Hyunjin apologized. “What is your favorite candy? I want to try something.” “Most lemon-flavored candy.” Felix answered once the dizziness settled. Hyunjin let go of his hand. “I’ll be right back.”

When he returned, he had two bags of lemon candy in his hand and a receipt. “I want to try something tonight. Come to my room when we get home.” He said, handing Felix one of the bags. “Thanks. Do I get a hint?” Felix asked curiously. Hyunjin just shook the bag of candy still in his hand with a cheeky wink. “Let’s go to the arcade.”

They played several games until everyone tired themselves out. They gathered all together in the food court. It was getting less crowed due to the time so they easily found a spot with enough space for Jisung’s wheelchair.

“I’m beat.” Seungmin said plopping down in his chair. Jeongin sat down next to him and rested his head on his boyfriends shoulder. ‘My legs hurt.’ He signed.

“Ugh, same.” Jisung complained. “How are your legs sore? You sat all day.” Felix asked. Despite the genuine question Jisung found himself annoyed. “Staying still causes your muscles to go stiff.” Minho explained offhandedly. Jisung was happy he didn’t need to answer. He was too tired to explain this for the billionth time. “Oh, that makes sense.”

“Food and then home?” Chan asked. Everyone quickly agreed.

When they arrived home, everyone bid each other goodnight quickly. They had a great time, but they were exhausted. So like the rest, Felix made quick work of doing his nightly routine. But as he walked towards his room, he realized that Hyunjin asked him to come by. So he used the last bit of his energy to get downstairs and to Hyunjin’s room.

The door was cracked open, but he knocked anyway. He waited a few seconds before being yanked into the room. In a swift motion, he was pushed onto the bed. Sitting up he could see Hyunjin close the door behind him. “So…. What is this about?” Felix asked. He could feel excitement bubble up in his stomach. Hyunjin walked over to grab the bag of lemon hard candy he bought at the assessment park. “I just brushed my teeth.” Felix said. He couldn’t eat candy this late anyways. “I’m sure I can tempt you.” Hyunjin said, straddling his lap. On reflex, Felix grabbed his waist to steady him. Hyunjin was looking down at him with those piercing eyes that stole his breath. He watched closely as Hyunjin open the bag and grabbed a piece of candy. He slowly lifted the candy to his lips and placed it in his mouth before leaning in to kiss Felix. Felix eyes fluttered close as Hyunjin kissed him. He tasted like lemon. Before Felix could process what was happening, Hyunjin’s tongue made it into his mouth. The piece of candy traveling with.

When Hyunjin finally pulled away, Felix could still taste the sour candy on his lips. It left him wanting more. But instead of kissing him again, Hyunjin just got up and laid down on his bed. He padded the place next to him as a signal for Felix to lay down too.

Soon they were comfortably cuddled against each other. Eyes treating to fall closed. “Goodnight Lix.” Felix heard Hyunjin say right before he drifted off to sleep.
