As the pirate crew prepared for the long voyage ahead of them the ship's flag was raised with ceremony. "Avast, ye matey!" Sans Undertale yelled, climbing up onto the bow of the ship. "I see land ho! She is a beauty!"
"Sans, buddy." Captain Coolguy sighed. "You should’ve sorted that out before we left." But the Captain didn't have the time to worry about the Bone's bone- there on the horizon- a Hurricane! The gale whipped through the ship's sail, knocking Mr. Undertale down from the bow and onto his boney ass. From the hurricane emerged Katrina, who landed on the ship ten paces away.
Just then, as they looked down at the treasure map from their pocket once more, they realized that they were only 10 paces away from the X! But there was a smudge on the map, and they had no idea which direction to treasure hunt in…Closer and closer they crept to the chosen X, ever nearing the hopeful spot of the fabled treasure. But now that they were upon it, and the treasure hunt was at its end, did they all ask if they should dare dig for it?
"Captain Coolguy, please put the map away. We are about to die." Sans pleaded, yet the Captain's face glowed with anticipation. The prospect of death only heightened the twinkle in the pirate's eye. Sans laid his head low. Who would bring flowers to his grave? Perhaps his brother, though he was a curious sort. "Captain, perhaps the treasure is the friends we made along the way?"
Captain Coolguy looked into Sans’ not-eyes, grabbing his hand. "No, you scuttlebutt. Treasure is treasure."
"Please Captain." Sans begged, but a whisper. "Come to your senses."
Captain Coolguy put a hand on the dead man's chest, pushing him out of the way. "FOR TREASURE!" Captain Coolguy yelled. "AND GLORY! AND THEN I'LL FINALLY DESERVE YOU!"
Sans was stunned. "Captain Coolguy..." he sighed, voice brimming with emotion. "You..." Katrina roared behind them. "Your eyes are beautiful." With Katrina's rapid approach, Sans cupped the Captain's face and pulled him into a desperate kiss. "You'll always be a real pirate to me."
And so it was, just them, a crew of two on the open seas. And on their mast, of course, a flag. But now, along with the Jolly Roger (now with painted blue eyes), was a pride flag.
