An explosion rocks the side of The Viltrumite prison. Prisoners run rampant, guards fire upon them, and intruders attack everything they see. Just outside of the space jail, Lord Boros’ ship looms over it, casting immense shadow over it. Lord Boros himself walks through the halls of the prison. A reptilian alien walks beside him, clearly nervous. Lord Boros speaks, not even looking the soldier in the eyes, “I was told that this prison held a force insurmountable by even the greatest of warriors,” He stops, stepping on and crushing the head of an unconscious guard, “And yet all I find are weaklings!” He shouts, finally looking at the man next to him. “W- well sir, those m- might have ju- just been rumor-”
Before the man can even finish, Boros’ hand floats where his head used to be, the remnants of his skull and grey matter splayed across the wall. Boros turns and walks further down the hall. He eventually finds himself at a large set of iron doors. He walks forward, pressing several keys on the screen next to the doors. Boros quickly becomes enraged when the screen flashes red and refuses him entry. In a fit of anger, he slams his fist into the small console.
Inside the cell, a creature stirs. Its eyes fly open, having been awoken by the sound of a fist hitting the wall. It stands, approaching the doors. Boros lifts his hand to hit the iron doors, only for a set of pale, white, furred claws to rips them open in a lengthy, ear-screeching showing of brute force. Out of the bent and broken set of doors, steps Battle Beast, “Who dares disturb the slumber of Battle Beast?” He questions. Boros looks at Battle Beast, the creature standing a good few inches taller than him.
“I am Lord Boros, leader of a battalion several thousand times greater than this entire prison’s forces.” He boasts. Battle Beast squints, “A general. I’ve seen plenty of you.” He says. Without warning, he kicks Boros, sending him flying through several walls. Boros staggers in surprise from the blow before dodging a punch from Battle Beast, the blow indenting the wall. He wastes no time on planning his next move.
Boros uppercuts Battle Beast, sending the warrior staggering back. He follows up the uppercut with three swift jabs to his face, chest and stomach. Battle Beast catches a fourth jab headed for his temple. He pulls the fist to the side, forcing Boros’ arm into and unnatural angle, “If this is what you expect to face me with, then kill yourself before I waste my time doing it for you.” He chops his other hand upwards, severing Boros’ arm in a spew of purple blood. Boros reels back before Battle Beast slams his own severed arm into his head.
Boros is sent spinning through the wall and lands upright in a hallway. Prison guards fight off waves of Boros’ soldiers in the background. Boros jumps back and dodges as swing from Battle Beast. The swing imbeds itself in the floor. Boros looks at it, “An axe?! Where could he hav-” his thoughts are interrupted when Battle Beast swings a war hammer into his head and sends him flying down the hall. He gets a chance to think to himself, “We were in an armoury. Of course!” He realises. Battle Beast jumps down the hall and swings the hammer at Boros’ torso.
Before the strike can land, the stump of Boros’ arm shudders. In less than a second, a new arm bursts from the stump, slamming against Battle Beast’s hammer and shattering the weapon. The arm swing and hits Battle Beast in the face, flinging him back. Battle Beast stands up, wiping a nick of blood from his face as he looks at Boros’ new arm.
The limb is unlike the others. It is coloured a deep blue, with brighter blue veins lining it along with spikes showing a dark purple colour. Battle Beast growls, standing up. He slashes a claw towards Boros, only for the strike to be blocked as Boros reels his head back and head-butts Battle Beast, causing him to stagger back. Battle Beast effortlessly blocks a strike from Boros’ armoured arm, but puts more effort into blocking hits from the other. Battle Beast catches a strike from Boros’ armoured arm before ripping off.
He kicks Boros down the hall, sending him crashing through the wall and into the cafeteria. Boros attempts to regenerate his arm, but Battle Beast runs up and grabs him, slamming him into the floor, denting it. Battle Beast goes to swing again, but a surge of force blasts him away. The other aliens who were previously fighting now look on in awe as Boros stands up.
Pieces of Boros’ armour fall off as his skin turns the same deep blue as his regenerated arm. His other arm bursts from its stump as he flexes it. All the lights in the entire prison complex flicker as a bright glow emanates from Boros. Battle Beast looks at Boros, surprise evident in his features. Boros stares him down, “Now this… this is something I haven’t experienced in a long time,” He extends his hand forward, “Perhaps the legends I’d heard of a god in animal’s clothing were not just rumors?”
Battle Beast smirks before pouncing forward. Boros kicks him upwards, sending Battle Beast into the floor above. Battle Beast uses this momentum to backhand Boros as he flies up. Boros slams into the wall before Battle Beast grabs him by the neck and grinds him against the wall. Boros kicks against the wall, flinging them both across the room and through several dozen walls of the prison.
Boros slams his fists into Battle Beast. Each hit creates a shockwave that shakes the entire complex. Hit after hit lands directly into Battle Beast’s chest. Battle Beast grabs both of Boros’ arms, stopping the flurry of blows. He swings the warlord around before letting go, sending him flying. Boros’ flight stops just outside the prison as he slams through the last wall. He attempts to look around, only for Battle Beast to tackle him. The two fly across the cold space outside the prison before slamming the hull of Boros’ ship.
The hole creates a vacuum that sucks out many of Boros’ men before it is plugged by several shards of steel. Boros punches Battle Beast to escape his grab before performing his own tackle. He flies Battle Beast through several floors and walls of his ship before letting go and tossing him. Battle Beast grinds his claws into the floor to stop his momentum. They now stand in Boros’ enormous throne room. It is completely barren of all life other than them. Neither opponent even looks around before they both go back on the offensive.
Battle Beast takes out a huge sword and swings it through Boros’ head. He uses this opening to grab Boros and force his chest onto the blade of his sword. He stabs the blade into the steel floor and runs forward, grinding Boros across the floor as the sparks scorch his flesh. Boros’ head regenerates as he grabs the blade and shatters it. Battle Beast spins around, sliding his feet across the floor to stop. Boros flips into an upright position before using the force given to him by Battle Beast’s sprint to slam his fist into the warrior.
Battle Beast is flung through the vast open air of the throne room. He slams into one of the many pillars before Boros catches up and clotheslines him through a dozen more. Battle Beast bites down on Boros’ arm, forcing the warlord to toss him into the floor. He hits the ground with such force that the ship shakes.
In the control room of the ship, one of Boros’ men falls over and pushes a lever. The ship begins flying forward, no course in particular set.
Boros and Battle Beast pay no attention to the ships rapid speed. Battle Beast stands back up as Boros slams into the ground, far ahead of him. Boros looks at Battle Beast, a smile on his face, “Despite my armour being completely stripped, you can still keep with me.” He points out. Battle Beast curves his mouth into his own smirk, “You act as if that worries you.”
Boros laughs as he puts both arms at either side of his body. An enormous wave of blue energy flows out around him. Electricity crackles from his body as a ball of blue, burning plasma forms around, “Only select few beings in all the cosmos have lasted this long!” he shouts as the ball blasts forward in a huge beam of blue swirling energy. The blast hits Battle Beast and explodes, forming into a tidal wave of fire engulfing everything in front of Boros’. The large, steel pillars in the throne room melt from the fire’s heat as Boros continues to keep the beam going.
Much to Boros’ surprise, a silhouette walks forward, through the wave of fire and plasma. He walks forward, the beam of energy blasting directly into his chest barely even fazing the warrior. He grabs Boros, stopping the beam and punches him in the face, sending the warlord flying.
Boros lands on his feet, only for Battle Beast to rush past, tearing off one of his arms with a single bite of his bestial jaws. Boros attempts to turn around and retaliate, but Battle Beast spits out the arm and runs forward, elbowing him in the spine and running forward. Battle Beast crosses the colossal room, slamming Boros into the wall and shaking the entire ship. Back in the control room, one of the soldiers manages to pull the previous lever back down, halting the ship as it now floats high in the atmosphere of a random planet.
Boros attempts to push off the wall, but Battle Beast bites down on his head and rips it right off his shoulders as purple spews out from the wound in a brutal showing of gore. He spits the head out before tossing Boros’ body away. In seconds, Boros’ body regrows all the damage dealt to it as he breathes heavily. He chuckles, before that slowly turns into a deep laugh, “You are certainly one of the most powerful beings I have ever fought.” He says. Battle Beast grits his teeth, licking the blood from his lips, “I do not enjoy pauses in my battles.” He growls. Boros finishes off his laugh, “I hoped not.”
A dome of bright energy bursts from Boros, swirling around him as Battle Beast holds his hand in front of him to shield his eyes. Boro’ armour-like body shifts into a more bare appearance as his skin turns snow white. His veins darken into a deep black as his mouth seals into a flat surface. His final form.
He launches forward, kneeing Battle Beast directly in the chin and launching him upwards. Battle Beast is sent through the roof of the throne room. Boros appears next to Battle Beast, spiking him through a dozen rooms before he can even hit the floor. He appears again, kicking Battle Beast through even more rooms. Again and again. Boros sends battle Beast flying every which way. He eventually performs an upward kick, launching Battle Beast all the way to the roof of the ship.
Battle Beast falls through the air above the ship. Boros appears next to him to hit him again, only for Battle Beast to grab him in a bear hug and suplex directly into the top of his own ship. Battle immediately gets up from the crater, grabbing Boros by the leg and slamming again and again into the steel floor before tossing him away while still holding the warlord’s now severed leg.
Boros’ leg instantly regenerates as lands on his feet. Battle Beast stares down his opponent, taking out a large mace and an even bigger dual sided sword. He grins, his two strongest weapons now having a target to be used on. Boros is unable to show it, but he smiles as well. The two launch at each other. Boros attempts a jumping punch, but Battle Beast swings his mace downward and splatters Boros’ head. Boros quickly regenerates before spin-kicking Battle Beast away.
Battle Beast lands on his feet before opening his arms wide, as if inviting Boros for strike. Boros accepts the invitation, launching forward punching Battle Beast square in the gut. Battle Beast coughs up blood from the blow, but he stands his ground. Boros swings over and over, landing strike after strike on Battle Beast as the warrior coughs up more blood from his gritted teeth. He stops Boros’ flurry of hits by reeling his hand back and stabbing his enormous sword clean through his chest before swinging the mace to cave his head in once more.
The pieces of Boros converge together as he regenerates again. Before Boros can even look up, Battle Beast kicks him and sends him flying. Boros stops his momentum by flying forward and tackling Battle Beast into the air. He slams his opponent through several of the large spikes on the roof of his titanic ship, shards of the ship’s hull flying off due to Boros’ speed.
Boros releases Battle Beast before landing and grinding his feet against the ground. Battle Beast roars, not with anger, but with exitement. Boros lets out his own excited shout as he launches forward. Battle Beast prepares to block a strike, only for Boros to fly past. The sheer blistering speed and power put out from Boros’ flight completely melts and evaporates the two weapons in Battle Beast’ hands.
Boros turns around as he now floats high above the ship. Beneath his mask of white flesh, he smiles with unyielding excitement at how Battle Beast completely tanked him flying past at top speed. Battle Beast smiles with glee as well, his opponent having just neutralized his strongest weapons by simply flying by. Boros yells, “Out of respect for your unmatched power, I shall grant you a death fit for a god among men!” He screams. Battle Beast’s smile widens more as he runs across the molten hull of the ship. Flashing light and energy of every single colour flies around Boros as he charges an attack, the light shining brighter than even this planets sun.
“COLLAPSING, STAR ROARING CANNON!!!”
Boros fires the blast, its sheer force pushing clouds over the horizon. Battle Beast jumps off the ship, tipping it from hi strength alone. The blast hits him dead on as his body splits it as if it was a stream of water. The stray beams of the cannon split Boros’ ship in half as Battle Beast flies through the blast, growing closer and closer to its user. Both Boros and Battle Beast cackle with unbridled joy. Boros shouts at the top of his lungs, “Yes! Come to me, Battle Beast! Give stimulation to my existence!” He screams. Battle Beast roars in response as he pulls his fist back. Boros cocks his own fist back as the beam ends. His arm glows with all of the power still remaining in his body as it shines brighter than the heavens themselves.
“MAXIMUM…”
They grow closer…
“METEORIC…”
Closer…
“BURST!!!”
The two strikes land as the entire sky shines with the unyielding explosion from their clash. The shockwave rips islands from the ocean floor and splits forests in two. Finally, the light fades. Battle Beast falls from the sky, his arm blown clean off and one side of his body scorched black. In front of, falls the torso and head of Boros. His body flakes and dries. He smiles, looking Battle Beast, his eye without the pupil even needed to see him, “Thank you… for giving me… an honourable death.” He whispers. “Your… welcome, Lord… Boros.” Battle Beast responds, fading in and out of consciousness. And so, they reach terminal velocity, the last of Boros’ body being burned away by the fire.
Battle Beast falls into unconsciousness. He does not know if he will survive the fall, but after finally having the battle of his life… He does not care.
