Work Text:
It was a Friday night. Victoria was spending it how she always did: poured over paperwork and projects, haunched over her desk and nursing a cup of cold coffee. She had been invited to a dinner by some of her employees but she had politely declined as always; they were only asking her out as a formality.
Nobody actually wanted their cold, argumentative boss to come to dinner. And Victoria wasn’t interested in walking on eggshells around her employees.
Besides, the office was her safe haven these days. Her family’s influence seemed so far away in this room. Here she could just focus on task after task. She thrived in the simplicity of this space.
So when she got a call that shattered this tranquility, she was rightfully irritated. Victoria grabbed her discarded phone and planned on simply silencing her phone. That was until she saw the caller ID.
Victoria’s eyebrow twitched at the name. She pressed the phone to her ear gently, saying, “I guess this means you’ve unblocked my number.”
“I know what you’re doing.”
Iris’ voice sent a shiver down Victoria’s spine. That icy yet dulcet tone had always captivated Victoria, ever since she first heard it years ago. The definition of femininity.
Sighing, Victoria murmured, “That makes one of us.”
“Don’t play dumb with me, Qi.” Iris hissed out, “We both know it was never your style.”
“You still have this narrative in your head about me…” Victoria said with a shake of her head.
Some things never changed, it seemed.
Iris’ voice came out strained as she spoke, “It’s not a narrative. Call it a lived experience. Now stop dancing around and admit what you’re doing.”
Victoria frowned at this. Iris usually wasn’t this frank. She liked to hide behind a veneer of sweet smiles and gentle implications, ever the helpful jiejie to her peers. Even to Victoria she would keep up this kind facade until the claws came out and the fight started as it always did. Slowly, Victoria asked, “...Are you drunk, Wen?”
Right on cue, she heard a little hiccup on the other end, followed by an irritated growl.
“That’s none of your business. I want you to keep your claws out of Selene.”
Victoria scoffed at this. Of course this was about Selene. When she had heard that Iris had personally recommended Selene for the internship, Victoria had been intrigued. Almost jealous. What exactly did this college student have that made Iris vouch for her? She had initially guessed it was a crush and clearly she was right.
She hated that this bothered her.
With her most professionally-stiff voice, Victoria said, “Selene is my intern. A recommendation of yours, if you remember. If you didn’t want her around me, you shouldn’t have placed her on a silver platter.”
“That’s just what you do, isn’t it? You hound after the newest and prettiest girl that works for you. You did it with me, now you’re doing it to her. It’s sick,” Iris seethed.
She could feel the venom dripping from Iris’ mouth as she spoke. It stung so sweetly.
“You’re out of line, Wen. Watch your mouth,” Victoria snapped back.
“I’m out of line?” Iris said with incredulity, “I saw those fucking texts, Qi. Those stupid stickers you sent her – the heart ? God, it’s pathetic to read, how did you even type it out?”
Victoria’s blood ran cold. Iris had seen her texts with Selene? Fuck. She ran a hand through her hair as she frantically thought of all the texts between them. Had been untoward? She certainly didn’t treat Selene as distantly as her other employees but… But it was nothing like how she had treated Iris.
“You’re so fucking drunk. Wait…” Victoria’s movements slowed as she asked, “How did you read my texts?”
She was met with only incriminating silence. Victoria let out a scoff, saying, “Look at you. When did you get your hands on her phone, huh? Is that why you’re drunk? Look who’s taking advantage of my little intern now?”
“Fuck you! I didn’t– that’s not why I did this. She invited me out. Unlike you, I’m her friend!”
The malice, the vitriol – the ferocity with which Iris spoke was making Victoria’s skin burn and ache. How long had it been since they danced like this? Far too long, if Victoria’s bodily reactions were any indicator.
“Her friend that snoops through her phone?” Victoria countered, “And you have the nerve to lecture me ?”
She could hear a crash on Iris’ end before the woman snarled out, “I hate you so much. So fucking righteous, so perfect. That’s what you think, right? Perfect Victoria. CEO, heiress, prodigy. You’re so full of shit, it’s disgusting.”
“Give me one reason I shouldn’t block your number right now.”
That’s what any sane person would do. They wouldn’t have even answered the call. It could only be madness that possessed Victoria to entertain this woman time and time again.
The laughter that bubbled out of Iris was cruel and dark as she said, “If you were going to, you would’ve done it by now.”
Victoria clenched her jaw.
“Try me.”
There was a moment of silence between them. Victoria felt like she was watching a cobra coil up before the fatal strike.
“Careful… if you weren’t simpering after a girl almost a decade younger than you, I might think you’re flirting with me.”
Victoria muffled the shudder that wracked through her body. She was on her feet in an instant, asking, “...Where are you?”
“None of your business.”
“Don’t be difficult. Send a pin.”
The silence returned once more, only to be disturbed by a little ping on Victoria’s phone. She smirked as she checked it. Iris had indeed sent over her location and it wasn’t too far, thankfully. Some karaoke place downtown. Not really Iris’ usual haunt but whatever.
The alcohol made Iris’ voice slur slightly as she spoke, “You love this. You love being a knight in shining armour coming to rescue the girl. Always looking for your next pet project, huh?”
Victoria spoke through gritted teeth, saying, “You’re ridiculous. I don’t have the time nor interest to unpack your vitriol for me. Stay where you are.”
She hung up without another word. Like a moth to a flame, she stalked off in the direction of her car. Any and all work laid forgotten on her desk, and the coffee was left to rot. Victoria’s mind was a thousand miles away and stained in shades of blue and white.
Unfortunately, Iris was exceptionally beautiful. Anyone with eyes could see that but there was more to it. The piercing blue eyes always made people feel vulnerable, like she was looking straight into their soul. The tall stature, the waves of snow-white hair, the delicate yet dexterous hands – she was the very essence of femininity. From the moment Victoria had laid eyes on her, she could never look away.
Tonight was no exception.
As Iris got into her car, Victoria could see the cheeks flushed to a bright red and could smell the mix of alcohol and Le Labo perfume. It stained the inside of her nose but she couldn’t find it in her to care. Stoically, she turned on the seat warmers and turned the heater towards Iris.
“Type in your address,” Victoria murmured as she began driving.
Iris gave her the brattiest expression in return, asking, “What if I just want to sit here and be difficult?”
She quirked an eyebrow at this.
“Oh? I didn’t think you wanted to spend more time than necessary with your mean, old boss.”
Iris scoffed but put the address into the GPS. Her apartment wasn’t far. In truth, despite knowing Iris for years and their extensive history, she had never been to her new apartment. She had always assumed that it was Iris’ way of establishing boundaries and she respected that. Honestly, the less Victoria knew about the other woman, the better off she’d be.
“Surprised you didn’t swoop in and grab Selene, too. I wouldn’t put it past you to take advantage of a drunk girl.”
Victoria’s hands tightened on the wheel as her knuckles turned white. The audible squeezing of leather interrupted the otherwise silent drive.
“Selene is a big girl, she can get a ride home herself.” Victoria replied, “I would’ve thought the same of you, yet clearly…”
She gave Iris a once-over, referring to the woman’s drunken demeanour. Iris glared at her, illuminated only by the street lights and the soft glow of the dashboard.
She never looked lovelier.
“I would’ve gotten home just fine without you.” Iris grumbled, her lip almost jutting out in a pout.
Victoria scoffed.
“Whatever you say.”
She missed this. While any sane person would be averse to tension, to this skin-crawling and bone-chilling contempt that Iris spewed, it only made Victoria more entranced. She knew full well that the woman beside her was a black hole waiting to twist and consume her but… she couldn’t stop herself from orbiting her anyway.
And these thoughts ran through Victoria’s mind as Iris dug through her car like a scavenging racoon in a dumpster.
“Are you done rifling through my car?” Victoria asked.
Iris’ hands did not still inside the glovebox as she replied, “Just checking for any nefarious goods.”
“Unfortunately you’ll find nothing to validate your vendetta against me.”
“Not yet.”
Victoria fought the urge to yank Iris’ hands away from the glovebox. She only used this car for transport, what could she possibly keep in it? Drugs? Evidence of tax fraud or embezzlement? Ridiculous.
She chided the younger woman, saying, “You’re being childish. I expected better from you.”
“You know nothing about me, clearly.” Iris said with a side-eye.
“I know you revel in my attention. Why else would you let me pick you up like this?” Victoria asked.
She was picking at an old scab now. One that she knew exactly how to make bleed, how to rot Iris’ skin until it was an angry-red, until Iris felt something. The need to get a reaction out of Iris felt like an animal gnawing at her insides now.
She needed to get under Iris’ skin as much as she got under Victoria’s.
“Maybe I just wanted a chance to aggravate you,” Iris drawled as she sunk back into her seat, glovebox shut.
“You can do that at a distance,” Victoria quipped back.
There was a soft, breathy noise on Iris’ end that made the hairs stand up on Victoria’s neck. It sounded like an almost-laugh.
“Yes, but then I wouldn’t get to see that vein sticking out of your n–”
With a guttural snarl, Victoria snatched the hand wandering to her neck. She wasn’t fast enough to stop the offending hand from scratching her neck, likely leaving an angry streak along her jugular. Her grip was tight, almost bruising, and she felt murderous rage coursing through her veins.
This fucking brat–
“Enough. Restrain yourself.”
The words were spoken through gritted teeth as Victoria tossed Iris’ hand away. It landed with a thud against the other woman’s lap.
All this earned her was a feral grin from Iris, looking entirely too pleased.
“Now the claws come out. There’s the real you,” Iris murmured.
Victoria looked straight ahead to the road as she spoke, “Contrary to your beliefs, I’m not the villain you think I am. I just don’t like being touched and taunted.”
Iris fell silent after this. For a moment, Victoria believed she wouldn’t get a retort for once.
“I seem to remember you enjoyed my touch once.”
Her words felt like ice running down Victoria’s spine. Memories of flushed cheeks and wanting eyes flooded her mind. Whispers of wanton murmurs and breathy moans and hushed promises. The tickle of perfume and sex against her nose–
“And look where that got me.”
With that, Victoria parked the car. The apartment complex wasn’t as decadent as Victoria’s penthouse suite, sure, but it was decent and had its own charm to it. Someone as pretty as Iris shouldn’t live in a place so shabby but Victoria knew what her financial situation was like. Besides, she’s not allowed to be her knight in shining armour for this part of her life.
It didn’t matter that Victoria had enough money to treat Iris to a lifetime of luxury and joy. All that mattered to Iris was… honestly, Victoria had no idea anymore.
Brusquely, she scooped up Iris’ discarded bag and coat. Dior. An old gift from Victoria. She tried not to dwell on the knowledge that Iris still kept it, let alone wore it. A sentiment far too close to possessiveness flared up.
“Get out.”
“Don’t tell me what to do.”
Iris did, in fact, get out.
The walk to Iris’ apartment was an awkward affair. Victoria insisted on both holding the coat and bag in one hand, while also steering Iris by her bicep. Her grip was firmly and domineering as they walked – Victoria’s irritation spiked with every drunken, wobbling step Iris took. So fucking drunk, anyone could just—
That thought didn’t help the situation. As drunk as Iris was, Victoria still needed her to lead them to her apartment. It was an awkward tug-of-war as Victoria balanced the woman guiding them both. Blind leading the blind, almost.
Iris paused in front of an apartment, only to look back at Victoria with a salacious grin.
“Guess I got it wrong.” Iris drawled, “Maybe Selene’s not the drunk girl you wanna take advantage of tonight.”
The blood rushed to Victoria’s cheeks as her grip tightened on Iris’ bicep. Was it wrong that she wanted it to bruise? How long had it been since she had stained Iris’ skin with all those lovely colours?
“Enough.”
A taunting giggle was the only reply she received. She watched Iris swipe into the apartment. As she watched her delve deeper inside, she realised that Iris hadn’t taken her coat and bag from Victoria.
It… almost felt like an invitation.
Stepping over the threshold of Iris’ home felt like an offense. It was as if the walls itself knew that she shouldn’t be there. Despite this, Victoria trailed after her. The tension sat thick in the air and it began cloying in Victoria’s throat.
In a gruff voice, she asked, “Where do you want your belongings?”
“Don’t care.” Iris called back, “Throw them on the couch.”
It was a ridiculous request that Victoria had no intention of obeying. Instead, she draped the coat onto the back of a dining room chair and placed the bag on the kitchen counter. The apartment was as clean as she expected for Iris’ standards. Yet it felt too… cold. Almost clinical. It was more akin to a laboratory than a home.
Across the room, Iris had thrown herself onto the couch. Her clothes were still on, although they were dishevelled and a few buttons of her shirt were undone. She could also feel Iris’ piercing eyes on her as she moved about the room.
With a sigh at her unfortunate sense of chivalry, Victoria made quick work of getting her hands on a bottle of water.
Said water bottle was promptly backhanded across the room.
“Don’t be a child,” Victoria chided.
Iris grinned at her like the Cheshire cat, saying, “I will, when you stop pretending to be a good person.”
The bottle laid forgotten on the floor. The two of them engaged in this familiar dance, their endless push and pull of vitriol and contempt.
“This petulant act is getting old, Iris. Be an adult and articulate what your issue is.”
Iris let out a bark of laughter that made Victoria wince. She said, “Of course, oh fearless leader. Shall I jump for you, too? Don’t pretend like you don’t know exactly why you disgust me.”
“I don’t. Enlighten me.”
Victoria was towering over her at this point. From this angle, she could see the silver necklace that Iris always wore currently resting between her breasts. The sapphire dangling at the end glittered in the moonlight.
Awfully distracting.
The flush of Iris’ cheeks only darkened as she began to spew her usual bile, “You’re a vulture. You prey on the weak, on people’s insecurities and failures. There’s no room for error when it comes to everyone else. But you? All you have are excuses for yourself. God forbid one of your interns present the wrong slide in a presentation, but you get to flirt with every pretty intern that catches your eye, huh? You get to be inappropriate, too involved, too emotional, too–”
In one swift motion, Victoria lunged forward and grabbed Iris’ lapels, pushing her deeper into the couch as she straddled her lap. She grit her teeth and seethed as she watched a glint of panic flash on Iris’ face, a reward that felt sweeter than it should have. .
“There’s nothing you can say to me that I haven’t already heard from myself. I’m not perfect but I never said I was.”
Iris’ wandering hands found purchase on Victoria’s hips only for the woman to dig her nails into the flesh there. She drawled out, “So dull… I’d respect you more if you admitted you were an incompetent leader.”
The feigned boredom on her face drove Victoria mad.
“You don’t get to decide that. You quit your internship and never saw it through. What, you got a little seniority at your new job and suddenly–”
Iris’ snarled words cut her off, “I left Huanyu because I couldn’t stand your bullshit. You’re bullheaded, unreasonable, unable to see passed your own–”
It can only be madness that seized her. Only madness could explain why she pulled Iris forward into a bruising kiss, teeth clicking on impact. And it could only be madness that made Victoria whimper into this woman’s mouth.
She always tasted like berries, bordering on sour. Iris fixed the taste for her by biting down on Victoria’s lip, hard enough to draw blood. Victoria broke the kiss to grab Iris by the face and nurse her throbbing, bleeding lip.
“Couldn’t help yourself, huh?” Iris murmured against her mouth, “This the part where you take advantage of me?”
Victoria licked at her lip. Somehow, the metallic taste made her want more. More pain, more violence, more…
“That would imply this isn’t consensual.”
Iris tilted her head. The picture of innocence.
“You think I want this? You think I want you?”
They both knew the answer. They knew this dance, one as old as time itself. Despite her better judgement, despite all reason and logic, Victoria shuddered against Iris’ mouth and chased it, aching for another kiss. Their bodies were flush against each other at this awkward angle but Victoria needed more.
Victoria’s voice came out as a pathetic whine, “Stop playing with me. Just–”
“Just what? Hm? Fuck you? Is that why you followed me in here like a lost puppy?” Iris asked with that horrid expression.
Victoria flushed bright red and looked away but… she couldn’t deny those words. A mean, rough fuck was exactly what she was aching for. God, how long had it been? How long since Iris traded her hands wrapped around Victoria’s throat for a pretty leash and collar? How long since Iris had bent her over her knee and spanked her until she came untouched?
As if reading her mind, Iris gave her that malicious grin as she reached down to cup Victoria’s cunt through her pants. This mere touch set Victoria’s soul aflame and she couldn’t help but grind into the touch. Iris shamelessly groped and fondled the flesh there, giving Victoria a taste of what she could be feeling.
“I bet you’re aching, huh?” Iris cooed, “How long? Since I got in your car or since I called you?”
The shame threatened to consume Victoria. How could she admit that Iris was like a drug to her? How could she confess that she could only come anymore when she thought of Iris?
“Stop talking,” Victoria breathed out.
Iris chuckled before dipping her head forward towards Victoria’s neck. As a taunt, Iris licked and sucked at the same scratch she made earlier along her jugular. Victoria made a pathetic moan at this sensation and prayed it left a mark.
In one move, Iris shoved Victoria to the side until the woman was sprawled on her back with Iris looming above her. Those blue eyes seemed to glow as they glared down at her.
Victoria never wanted her to look at anyone else.
Iris sneered at her, saying, “Disgusting. So fucking argumentative and stubborn in the office, now look at you. Pathetic. A mewling kitten after a bit of kissing.”
“You don’t have to be so crass,” Victoria argued as her chest heaved.
Iris smirked.
“Why? Is it turning you on?”
The silence was better than any answer. She didn’t have time to consider deflecting because she felt Iris’ thigh pushing forward against her cunt. The sudden pressure and friction was like divine bliss and Victoria couldn’t help but throw her head back. Iris kept her thigh in place as she dove teeth-first towards Victoria’s collarbone, and Victoria could only grind desperately at her leg.
“Like a bitch in heat, humping my leg like this.” Iris growled against her skin, “You think Selene would fuck you like this? She’s such a softie, you know she wouldn’t fuck you like I do.”
Selene’s sweet face came to mind. Her intern was smart, attentive, courteous – everything that Victoria should want for herself. Yet she always came crawling back into the arms of a woman who hated her. Somehow, the venom Iris gave her was sweeter than any honey she received.
She was horribly wet now. Sweat and heat made her clothes stick to her skin and she wanted nothing more than to get out of them. She wanted to be naked beneath Iris, to feel those cold hands roaming across her body with a bruising pressure.
She wanted Iris to break her.
“God, please, Iris.”
“That’s it. Beg me, jiejie. Beg like a dog.”
It was so humiliating. Iris only ever called her that when they fucked, and Victoria knew exactly why: it was to remind her that although she was older and should command more respect, Iris saw her as nothing more than a pathetic, whiny slut. She should hate this, really. She should pick up the remnants of her pride and leave. But…
Leaving Iris’ orbit was a fate worse than death.
“Iris…” Victoria begged, “Please fuck me. I-I need you.”
Iris looked absolutely devilish above her. Her grin showed off sharp teeth and her eyes burned with desire. The sight of it made Victoria’s body thrum with a mix of fear and need. Her fingers dug into Iris’ shoulders as she rode her thigh and held on for dear life.
The younger woman’s hands moved at a furious pace as she all-but tore Victoria’s pants off. She let out a bark of laughter when her fingers slipped between Victoria’s folds; meanwhile Victoria herself let out an obscene moan at the sudden contact.
“You’re sopping wet.” Iris murmured, “God, you’re so easy. I just have to bully you a bit and you drip down your leg. Such a slut…”
The words sounded muffled to Victoria’s ears. She was completed blissed out and struggling to stay afloat as Iris’ nimble fingers fucked into her. She’s pretty sure she was drooling and she hadn’t even realised Iris’ fingers had slipped inside of her until Iris hooked them and dragged against Victoria’s sweet spot. Her hips lifted involuntarily as she chased that feeling.
There was no sweeter comfort in this world than when Iris buried her fingers inside her.
Iris’ mouth was right next to Victoria’s ear as she spoke, saying, “You hear how wet you are? Disgusting. Is this why you argue so much? Does your company know that their CEO is a pervert? That you get off on arguing with them?”
Victoria wanted to argue or to defend herself, but her mind was a thousand miles away. She was no longer grounded on earth, her body merely orbiting Iris at this point. The fingers fucking into her were so long Iris could make her come. Just Iris. No other woman had ever made her body sing like this.
“Is that why you fight me, jiejie?” Iris’ voice came out strained and breathless, “Because I argue back? You like the challenge, don’t you? Did you touch yourself after we fought?”
Somehow, she found the ability to speak. She croaked out, “O-Once.”
“Just once? I don’t think I believe that. Tell me what you did.”
The edges of her vision were turning white now. It was as if her brain had forgotten how to form words for a moment as she writhed beneath Iris. Slowly, she caught up with the command as her stomach began coiling tight. She was at the brink now.
“My o-office. After you… you resigned.” Victoria’s voice wobbled, “I touched myself, ah , as soon as you left.”
She was beyond shame at this point. She was dipping beyond the event horizon now, made worse by Iris’ mouth licking and sucking at her ear. This woman was insatiable and cruel. She knew this was Victoria’s weakness. Her wanton body opened up for her as Victoria’s legs spread even further, beckoning Iris’ fingers deeper.
When she opened her eyes, Victoria found Iris looking down at her. Her expression was… odd. She looked at Victoria like a veil had been lifted from her eyes. It almost felt like… affection. But that would be insane. The thought of Iris holding anything except contempt and lust for Victoria… the more thought of it only dragged Victoria closer to the edge.
“Slut. Filthy slut, you just…”
Iris looked possessed. By lust or rage, Victoria didn’t know. She didn’t care, in truth. All she knew was that the moment she felt Iris’ tongue lapping at her mouth, her vision turned white and her body seized up. The orgasm tore through her like it never had before and she cried pitifully as she came.
Iris, cruel Iris, never showed mercy on her. She didn’t let up even as Victoria came. She continued fucking into Victoria like her life depended on it.
“Keep coming, jiejie. You think I’m gonna stop?” Iris asked, a sneer on her face, “I’m not too drunk that I can’t fuck you through this couch. Is that what you want? I bet you miss my cock. God, you’d look so stupid gagging on me—”
Victoria screamed as she came for the second time, right after her first. Her body was shaking from the relentless attack she was enduring. Actually, she was vaguely sure she had blacked-out because by the time she came around, Iris had changed positions and had settled her face right above Victoria’s cunt.
Her eyes were a piercing, sinister blue as she glared up at Victoria. She never looked more beautiful.
“Not so tough anymore, huh?” Iris hissed, “I dare you to fight me tonight. I’ll break you in, jiejie, I always do.”
It’s a promise that sounded sweeter than wedding vows.
And Victoria could do nothing except cry as Iris buried her mouth into her cunt. Iris always devoured her like a starving man offered a feast, the wet noises she made were always filthy. Victoria’s soft hairs concealed most of Iris’ face, save for those gorgeous eyes. Victoria didn’t know if they’re tears of frustration or joy streaming down her cheeks now; she just knew that Iris always poured poison in her mouth and it tasted like honey every time.
