Work Text:
Ena was a lot of things, a girl, a soldier, a nazi, but the thing she wasn't, was a mother. She had given birth approximately 6 weeks ago after a german officer raped her during a visit. She never wanted to get pregnant but the officer didn't care about her wants. 9 months later she was screaming in the medical tent and gave birth to a boy. She didn't hold the boy, didn't name him, she didn't even look at the boy after he was expelled from her body.
From her medical team she was told the boy was named Takashi, she assumed the name was to inspire her to care for her son but in the end she didn't. The name did nothing and the lump of flesh that sat crying in her room was starting to irritate her, she didn't want to feed it, the very idea of its mouth latching onto her swollen breast made her skin crawl. That thing wasn't her, it was of her flesh and blood but her medic told her the creature was her son.
The congratulations she received for the thing that had the nerve to call itself Ena’s son was… disgusting. Every word that referred to the thing she carried on her back made her sick to her stomach. She wanted to puke her uterus up. Carve it out. Shove the thing that had been tormenting her for days back into her body so maybe just maybe she can survive again.
Everyday she spent with the creature was a day she wasn't holding a gun, a day she didn't praise Hitler, everyday she was here the enemy was winning. In the end she wanted to kill it. The parasite that fed from her body. she needed it to die. She took a knife from her weapon and shoved a pillow into the thing's face.
It was crying. Ena didn't care. First she pressed the knife to its neck, the soft pale skin bloomed with blood. Digging deeper, deeper, deeper. She hit bone. Bone was harder than skin and muscle, she looked at it and smiled. Cutting around the bone she felt the body of the thing go limp. Long ago she had cut the trachea and vocal cords making the thing go silent. Thrashing showed before stopping and eventually she finished.
