There is a certain beauty in setting the world on fire and watching from the centre of the flames

Summary:

Izuku Midoriya is the commisions newest caged bird, yet for some reason he has not figured out yet, he has been allowed to go to UA.

-------------

When Shouta Aizawa saw his new homeroom, he was a bit shell-shocked.

There, in a small picture on the file, was a bit with large, green wings, who had scored the most rescue points and points on the written exam this year.

Avian quirks were rare to come by, and were quite powerful for rescue and defensive heroes.

He was even more shocked when he realised Izuku Midoriya's parentage.

Looking at the file, Shouta frowned.

The quirk was shockingly similar to the number three hero, Hawks’.

The section of his file for parentage only stated his mother.

He frowned.

Or Hawks has a kid at 15 and the commision is really really happy and pissed

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

Inko Midoriya, freshly turned sixteen last week, brushed her dark green hair in the mirror, practicing her smile.

She placed it deftly into a ponytail, putting a little blue bow clip on the bobble.

She looked perfect.

Smiling sadly at her reflection, she nodded and left the bathroom, turning the light off as she went. The sudden suffocation of darkness hid her trembling hands until she found the switch for the corridor.

Inko was meant to be meeting up with her boyfriend in half an hour at a random park. She had texted him that morning, confirming the plans, after taking out the bathroom bin bag, tears streaming down her face.

She bid her father in the living room goodbye and put her trainers on by the door.

The door clicked behind her and she welcomed the cold rush of air to her face.

The walk to the park was slow, allowing her to collect her thoughts.

Her boyfriend was a hero in training, but didn't go UA. Inko did, though she didn't make it into the hero course, having failed the practical exam by fifteen points. She had intentions to switch over to the hero course during the sports festival, but she'd fallen in love with the support course.

She loved building machines and support items, and felt confident with a blow torch finally. She was her teacher's bane of existence, and Nedzus favourite support student.

She had tea with him once a week, whilst discussing blueprints of her next designs. If she was lucky, he sometimes helped refine them.

In the back of her head, she still had dreams of the sports festival.

Obviously it doesn't matter now, she couldn't become a hero.

She arrived at the desolate park and sat on the swings, waiting for the boy to arrive.

Two minutes later, she felt a gust of wind, and a boy with blonde hair and bruised, broken skin landed in front of her.

“Hey.” He grinned, kissing her cheek. He sat on the swing next to her and started pushing himself into the air.

“Hey.” She smiled mournfully.

He looked at her face, the dried tear stains, the sad smile, the dark circles under her eyes. “What's up?”

“Kei, I'm pregnant.”

Keigo's heart stopped and he stood up on instinct.

He knew, almost instantly, that the hero commission will know, probably before inko herself knew, and he knew this child would become a weapon for them to use, whether against Keigo, or against villains.

He dropped to his knees. “I'm so sorry, Inko. I'm so sorry.” He babbled.
