She wouldn't pretend to really understand how Garmadon turned good. Her precious baby, Jay, huffed and was annoyed, but full of forgiveness. That was enough for Edna to decide the man needed a fixer-upper, maybe a bite of cornbread.
The flying ship her son lived in before needed time and supplies to be repaired. Both that her and Ed had, retired as they were. Catching Garmadon standing alone in her junkyard as they fixed it wasn't nearly as difficult as that time Ed tried to catch an eagle.
"I thank you and your husband again for your generosity," Garmadon said as she approached. "It's a tribute to you that you've raised a fine son."
"Aw shucks." Edna blushed. "Take some cornbread. The rest of the boys have already helped themselves. You've all been working so hard!"
He smiled at that. What a pretty sight. It was too bad for Misako she had moved on. After all, the junkyard had been lonely without Jay. She was sure Ed wouldn't mind having another person for company when they were finished repairing their ship.
She felt a gentle softness on her head. Looking up, white fell from the sky. Edna laughed, opening her mouth to catch a snowflake.
"It seems winter has arrived early," Garmadon noted.
"Oh, winter is Jay's favorite season!" Edna exclaimed. "The local high school puts on their musical this time of year. We used to go every year..." What a kind man Garmadon was to entertain her wandering rambles.
