Your name is Hilbert. You’re 16 and live in the south-eastern Unovan town of Nuvema. You’ve grown up in the town for your entire life, hearing about the journeys of trainers from far-off regions such as Red, Ethan, Brendan and Dawn. You have two friends in your room with you. The girl wearing a green hat and orange dress is Bianca. She’s a bit of a klutz and timid, but she’s still probably one of your best friends. The other boy in the room with you is Cheren. He’s a bit of a know-it-all who obsessed over battles, knowing every win and stat with encyclopedic knowledge. The three of you were in your room for a special reason.
“C’mon Hilbert, stop building up the suspense, open it!” Bianca’s voice cried out as you sighed. You adjusted your red and white cap as you checked the card. The present was for the three of you from Professor Juniper. She had sent three Pokémon for each of you to choose, for the three of you were about to start your Pokémon Journey.
“These are quite impressive. I imagine the professor went to some length to get these three. Hilbert, which one will you be choosing?” Cheren said as you looked at the three Pokémon. Snivy, Oshawott and Tepig. You looked at them, eventually deciding to chose Oshawott. Cheren picked Snivy, while Bianca picked Tepig. The three of you had some battles, damaging your room in the process. You figured it would be best to head out. After checking in with Professor Juniper, you received a PokeDex and went onto Route 1.
“Waaaaait! We’re all starting our journey together, aren’t we? We should take our first step at the same time!” Bianca said as you and Cheren nodded. All three of you looked ahead, Accumula Town in the distance, you all breathed in.
And took your first step.
