“Marinette, wake up! You’re going to be late to school!”
With a jolt she woke up and fell out her bed. She took a quick look at the clock, seeing she had only 15 minutes to get ready and go to school. Tikki and the other Kwami’s were still sleeping, not being awoken by her Mamans voice. She decided to let them sleep, after all, they had a really exhausting week with strong and demanding Akumas, in which they all were needed to defeat them.
She really hoped that they would soon defeat Hawkmoth and Mayura. It was getting more and more strenuous to keep up with all the Akumas, school and her commissions she was working on. It was getting too much.
Her supposed partner was also not helping. Chat Noir was getting more frustrating with every Akuma there was. He flirts instead of fighting and demanding a date with her, or he wouldn’t come to Akuma fights anymore.
She noticed long ago that he wasn’t taking this fight serious and thought about it as a game or something like that. The chaos in him wasn’t balanced enough. With her Guardian abilities she could see now that he wasn’t a good fit for the Black Cat Miraculous. Master Fu probably didn’t think that the fight against Hawkmoth would take so long. After all, they were fighting him for 5 years now.
10 minutes later she was ready to leave. “Tikki, wake up, we need to go”, she said softly to her Kwami. Tikki opened her eyes slowly and flying to her to lay on her shoulder, “Ok, we can go. I’ll probably sleep in your purse, I am exhausted after the Akuma fight this night”. She smiled softly at her Kwami, let her fly in her purse and started walking to school.

As she arrived, the first thing she noticed was Alya talking loudly with Lie-La, “Did you hear it? We are going to get a new Student! Miss Bustier said that he’s from Gotham in the US. I am so excited to meet him. Maybe he even knows Batman and all the other heroes of Gotham. If he knows them, maybe he can get me an interview with them!”.
“Oh, that would be great, Alya! But you can just ask me, you know. It’s a secret but I’m going to tell you. I know Batman and Robin! They once helped me when I was in Gotham last year. They were really worried about me after the incident, so they would make sure, that I’m fine and even drove me in the Batmobil across the city!”, Lila excitedly told Alya and slowly a crowd was forming around the two.
“Really? Tell me more about them! Omg, you can get me an interview with them, right? That’s so fantastic Lila! Do you also know Bruce Wayne. He does lives in Gotham and was saved by Batman multiple times!”.
“Of course I know him! I also know his sons, I am dating one of them after all! My Damibear is his youngest son, and he fell right away for me! He’s so sweet and gifts me all expensive things and sends me flowers all the time! He will probably come to visit me soon!”.
“That’s so cool to hear Lila! Tell us more about your boyfriend and the other Waynes!”, Rose screams in an excited voice.
She passed by them, without focusing on what they were talking about. Lie-la was lying again and of course, all of them believed her. She’s getting tired of her lies and how she was getting away with everything. How she convinced all of her ‘friends’ that she was a bad person and that she bullies Lie-la. Only Chloé, Max, Kim and Alix believed her in her class. Luka and Kagami were also believing her from the start. She trusted them with her life and everything else. That’s why she gave them all their Miraculous permanent, as she felt that they were all compatible with them. It also means that she trusted them with her identity and told them all about how Chat Noir isn’t compatible with the Black Cat Miraculous and how she had to find a suitable Black Cat anytime soon.
By giving them their Miraculous’ permanent, the Heroes Honey Bee, Pegasus, King Monkey, Bunnix, Viperion and Ryuuko were presented to the public. Chat Noir wasn’t amused by this news, but she as the Guardian could do what she wanted, so she put him down quickly.
Taking a seat at the back of the class, she took her sketchbook from her backpack and started to design for a new commission she got from a Tim Drake. He tried to commission her for 3 years now, but she just recently decided to accept it, because he lives in the US and not in Europe, so measurements and fittings were getting hard to do. But he was constantly writing and asking for a commission from her that she wanted to put him out of his misery. She got his measurements per email and would be flying to him for the fitting soon. He made sure to get her a plane ticket for first class and a hotel, saying she was only flying to the US for him and that he would compensate her for it.
Some time later Miss Bustier came inside with a boy her age. She didn’t really paid attention to him as Miss Bustier began to speak, “Good Morning Class! As you may know, we are getting a new student today. Would you like to introduce yourself?”.
“Hello, my name is Damian.”
“That’s it? Why don’t you tell the class a bit more about yourself.”
“Tt, fine. I’m from Gotham but my father has business here in Paris, so I moved with him. I won’t be here long, so don’t try to befriend me”
“Okay, well you can sit next to Marinette in the back. Marinette, as class president you are going to give Damian a tour of our school later.”
With that she looked up to Miss Bustier and the new student. The boy looked thoughtful at her with squinted eyes. He was taller than her, which wasn’t hard as she was rather small. He had dark hair, tainted skin and eyes so vibrant green, she had never seen before. She noticed she had been looking at him for many seconds as she averted her eyes and blushed.
“Yeah, eh sure I’ll do it.”
As Damian went her way and sat next to her, she noticed something about his aura. It was full of chaos and creation, a soul so balanced as her own. She stared at him without noticing it again. He observed her staring and coughed lightly to get her attention.
“Any particular reason, you are staring at me?”, he asked with a little smirk on his lips.
“Oh, I’m so sorry, I, eehhh, was lost in thoughts and you are new, so I was curious why you said that you won’t be making any friends here while you stay in Paris with your father and then I thought about how I would to the tour and what I should focus on to show you and I guess that is not really relevant right now, because we do have class right now and I would only tour you after class later, but I had to thought about it and…”
“Okay, take a breath. Tt, you sure are a talkative person. I guess you can give me a tour of this so-called school later after class. But that would be it. I’m not searching for any friends.”
“Ehm, okay? Well then, I’ll talk to you later after school. I’ll meet you in front of the classroom after class!”
