In the Destiny Bounty…
After the excitement cools down and Garmadon gets a good night’s rest, he can finally see how his daughter changes her appearance.
She started to look like a normal girl, hair tied back and all.
“Nya helped me. She even gave me her old hair accessory. It’s a Cherry Blossom.” Lady pointed out while feeding her cat.
“It suits you, my princess. You and your brother were blessed by your mother’s beauty and radiance, but my strength and iron will.” Garmadon complimented the girl while she and Lloyd sat right next to their father, while Zane provided food for the three of them.
“To the proper nutrients to our young Green Ninjas,” Zane informed the twins, then fed the cat some fish, who happily meowed before eating.
“Thank you, Zane.” The twins thanked, while their father looked at those who had looked after his son and daughter, really looking at Lloyd’s and Lady’s guardians.
They were fools, idiots, airheads; you spent too much time with their heads in the clouds. But… despite their flaws, many, many flaws, they-they were good people, all of them. They didn’t have to take in his children, but they did. They took care of them, fed them, gave them clothes, a roof over their heads, everything they could ever need… now that their destiny was revealed, they will be twice as protective as before.
Good.
This knowledge will make them all more responsible with his beloved children.
…
He was not needed here anymore, and he can’t be anywhere near them, his Son, his daughter, his reason for living… if he stays, he stays knowing what he and his children must do. No, he loved them, he loved all his children too much… The reason he wanted to take Ninjago, to rule was for them, because Ninjago was meant to be theirs… and they would have it.
But for now…
Their children needed them, not him, not a cursed father.
“Once you are finished eating, Nya will want us at the command center.” Zane politely informed then bowed to the three of them.
Lloyd tried to scarf down his food but was scolded by his father.
“Slow down, Lloyd. You’ll choke if you keep eating like that Earth Ninja.” Lord Garmadon advised the boy, “If you keep gobbling like that, you’ll definitely choke.”
“But we gotta hurry up-!”
“And don’t talk with your mouth full!”
Lloyd coughed a little and tipped some Dark Lilly Tea of Conquest his father brewed.
“I warn you.”
Lloyd pouted.
“Look at Lady, she’s not in a rush.” Garmadon pointed out, “One must properly care for the body and life is not a race.”
“You sound like Uncle.” Lloyd pointed out.
“Who do you think taught him those sayings?” He bragged then ruffled his, “Now, both of you eat and take your time.”
At the Command Center…
The twins and their father soon made it to the command base as Nya described the situation.
“Okay, since we don’t know where the fourth Fangblade and no clue where Pythor left, we need to figure out how to stop him from getting the next one.” Nya summed up the situation.
“Legend said that if all four are together, they could bring back the Great Devour.” Cole warned as Garmadon clenched his fist.
That awful snake, he remembered all too well… It won’t be anywhere near his children; he’ll see to it personally….
No snake shall ever bite them.
“Why not just steal one of the ones Pythor has?” Lady wondered while she tilted her head.
“What?” Kai breathed, as the others turned to the twins.
“Yeah, we just need to destroy one to stop Pythor, right? There is no way he would keep them with him, he would have it somewhere safe.” Lloyd added as the ninja responded to such an obvious solution, feeling more like idiots.
“It sounds too easy.”
“Easy? It will be clear that those Fangblades will be guarded by the fearsome generals.” Zane informed as the situation would be a dire one.
“And there is no sign of them.” Jay complained, “It’s like they’ve disappeared or something!”
“Disappeared… Or underground!” Lady gasped in realization!
“That’s right! Snake burrow! Lady you’re a genius!” Nya complimented the young girl.
Lady grinned as Nya scanned for the underground and found their lair. The Dark Lord pet his children for their cunning, trying to bond them as much as he could before they must-.
“We must be prepared, then, to face off against the Serpentine,” Wu warned and announced a special type of training.
On the deck…
The ninja were getting prepared for their battle with the Serpentine while Lady and Lloyd, with Garmy the Cat, hoped to come along.
“So, when can we go? I really want to kick Pythor’s butt!” Lady declared with a proud look.
“Yeah, we wanted to show what happens when you cage…” Lloyd started as the pair decided to strike a pose together with Garmy in the middle.
“THE GREEN NINJA TWINS!!!”
The ninja and Nya giggled a bit.
“Sorry, Shorties, not this time. You two gotta stay behind.” Kai informed the pair.
“WHAT?!?” The twins whined while their uncle patted them on their heads.
“Kai is correct, the chosen ones cannot be a part of this battle, for the war to come,” Wu informed them, the pair felt left out again.
“But we’re super strong!” Lady pointed out, stomping her foot before it broke a hole through the deck, startling the cat, causing Cole to lift her out of it, “T-thanks, Cole.”
“You two may be strong, but you lack control,” Cole informed.
“And by lacking, we mean nonexistent.” Jay confirmed while pointing out the damaged stuff around the bounty, “You guys have broken more than we can fix.”
“Sorry.” Lloyd and Lady apologized while Garmy meowed sadly and rubbed up against Lady.
“It’s okay, we know you can’t control it.” Kai informed the pair, “And when we get back, our first lesson will be control. Cole and Zane will personally see to it.”
“Sweet.” Lady quietly squealed while Lloyd rolled his eyes.
“We will return with the Fangblades soon,” Zane promised while Lady and Lloyd sighed.
“Okay, but take Garmy with you. If you get into a jam, he can let us know you need help.” Lady offered her cat, Cole cringing at the animal showing all claws, “He’s very nimble.”
“We will bring him along.” Zane agreed, then gently grabbed the cat while their father appeared.
“I will stay behind and watch my children,” Garmadon informed them as the ninja and Wu nodded.
The ninja were soon off while Lady and Lloyd watched them go…
A little while later in the training room…
Lady and Lloyd began to read the book their uncle left for them to read about being a ninja, and different fighting styles.
“Jump up, kick back, whip around, and spin?” Lady read out loud, “That’s the basic style of doing spinjutsu. Really?”
“Yeah, it looked pretty complicated when the others did it,” Lloyd added.
“Maybe we can do it to.” Lady suggested as she turned on the training course, “Come on Lloyd, just like in the book.”
“Yeah, yeah! We are just as good as the others or any other ninja!” Lloyd proclaimed as the twin rushed the course.
“Jump up, kick back, whip around and spin-!”
Bad idea as the pair was being knocked about, their own clothing got caught in a snag before they were being whipped and flung into each other to the wall.
“Ow… maybe… we should have dressed better for this.” Lady groaned.
“And we just figured this out now. Maybe the others were right about us not being ready.” Lloyd moaned before they heard frantic meows!
They turned to see Garmy!
“Garmy!” Lady gasped while her cat looked frantic.
“But no Ninja!” Lloyd realized as the pair rushed to find their dad.
There is no way they could stand up against the Serpentine alone, so maybe their dad can help! But they soon find out… their father was trying to steal the Golden Weapons.
“Daddy?” Lady gasped.
“What are you doing?!?” Lloyd questioned with confusion and fury.
“Forgive me, my children. But I must take what is mine in order to create Ninjago in my own image.” Garmadon darkly informed the twins.
“Daddy, now is not the time for this! The snakes have our friends and uncle, your brother! This is not the time to turn on each other!” Lady pleaded to her father!
“If we don’t stop the serpentine, we’re all doomed! We need help! Please!” Lloyd begged as well, but Garmadon shook his head.
“You both don’t understand.”
“What?”
The man then turned from the children. He looked at the photograph of his daughter and son framed by his brother.
“I was just your age when the Devour bit me, the venom, warped my mind, tainted my soul, blackened my heart… evil is all I know, a path of darkness is all there is for me. I can no longer do good as much as I can be of an assistance.” Garmadon explained, “I must leave you both before my darkness spills over to you.”
“What? No, no, no-!” Lady pleaded, “Please, help us!”
“I cannot… the evil in my veins will never allow me such chivalry.”
“Evil or Cowardice?” Lloyd questioned his father, “The ninja saved our lives! We wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for them! If you won’t help them for them, then do it for us!”
“…I’m sorry my Warrior Prince… my Princess… but I cannot…” Garmadon refused before he dropped the weapons and was about to leave.
“If there is no good left in your heart, then why do you still love us? Why save us?” Lady called out, but her father didn’t answer.
Lloyd growled before he punched a wall, causing a hole!
“Great! Just great! The Ninja are captured, Dad is gone, and we can’t do anything about it!” Lloyd growled with anger.
“… Daddy will come back.”
“But you heard him! His evil blood won’t allow him-!”
“Daddy will come back. But for now, we need to do something.” Lady firmly answered.
“But how?” Lloyd questioned while the cat was lying on a very special cabinet.
“…As the Green Ninja Twins.”
Inside the Mountain of a Million Steps…
“Ninja run.”
“Ninja jump.”
“Ninja sneak.”
The twins were wearing their ninja gi and attire, hiding behind the rocks as they spotted the ninja, Nya and Sensei Wu in a cage, the Cat. They rushed to try and free them! Only for the pair to trip and tumble! They both landed on their faces, while everyone was distracted by them, the cat was coming to the rescue!
“Behold and weep! For we, Lloyd and Lady Garmadon, have come! The Green Ninja Twins are here to save the day!” The twins declared, only for the Serpentine to… laugh.
“How cute, the little twins who tried so hard to be evil are now trying to be heroes… pathetic. Mind their strength, they may have the might of their father, but they do not know how to properly control it.” Pythor mocked while the Serpentine were prepared to attack.
The twins tried to show their skills but were unable to land a blow.
“Forget it, children. You are no match for usssss.” Skales laughed while the others joined in.
“I thought I told you snakes not too long ago…”
They suddenly recognized that voice.
“Do you remember my warning, Serpentine?” Garmadon growled with his skeletal army beside him, “A lesson is to be had, you rotten bags of flesh! And it is! Not to Mess! With the Children of the Dark Lord!”
The Skeletons cheered!
“Why do you follow Garmadon? He betrayed you and Samukai?” Pythor questioned the skeletons.
“Because… everyone hates snakes!” The generals answered as the skeletons laughed and attacked!
Soon, a battle of bones and snakes began as Garmy the cat opened the cage.
“Okay, starting to like the furball!” Cole admitted as the ninja joined in the battle.
Soon, the Serpentine were overrun, and Pythor was surrounded! He was soon inflicted in the face by the feet of the twins, while they took the Fangblades! The snakes scattered, and the battle was won!
At the Bounty…
Garmadon was gathering the last of his belongings, the photos, the weapons, and everything that has value to him, but not the Golden Weapons.
No, he owed it to his children, so for now, he will not take the weapons.
He-he needed to think about things, about everything that happened. He needed to be alone.
“You’re leaving?”
He then turned to the two he was fighting for, frowning at his need to depart.
“I must, but I will see you again.”
The twins frowned.
“Daddy, we love you and nothing in this world would ever change that.” Lady began.
“But we are the Green Ninja, and for the sake of the world, we’ll do everything in our power to stop you.” Lloyd finished, earning a grin from their father.
“I know you both will,l and I couldn’t be prouder.”
“Really?” They smiled at the same time.
“Lloyd, Lady, you are both my Pride and my Joy, the best parts of my soul, and whatever our destinies lie, my love for you all will always be there. We may face each other as enemies one day, but we will always be family.” Garmadon answered, “You both are the proof that there is goodness in my heart.”
Then Garmadon left, with one final thing: “Look out for each other and keep your bond strong, for it is your greatest strength.”
Then he left.
Lloyd and Lady returned to the Command Center as everyone was throwing a big party. Cole and Nya and them some glasses with his special juice, not even Cole’s presence made her blush, she was too bummed out… seems the ninja picked out on their bum-ness. So, they decided to celebrate their victory.
“I would like to propose a toast to Lord Garmadon!”
“TO LORD GARMADON!!”
“To our Dad/Daddy!”
“Tomorrow, we destroy the blades once and for all.” Wu declared while the Ninja cheered.
“You kids were awesome, and I can’t wait to start training you. With my training, you’ll be the strongest ninja around.” Cole informed, while Lady found herself blushing again.
“And you’ll be the smartest,” Jay added.
“And the wisest,” Zane added.
“And the most powerful.” Kai finished.
“You will be the greatest of us all.” Wu declared while the cat meowed and drank the juice provided in a bowl.
Tomorrow, things will be tougher.
A serpent made his way to the ship, hungry for vengeance…
