Kaelix was just an ordinary man, yet a renowned actor. His career soared, skyrocketing to fame. His face was everywhere—posters of his handsome, white-haired self with that signature bright and cheerful smile flooded the city. He looked like the perfect golden boy, blessed with luck and success.
But that was all a lie. A mask.
Behind the cameras, Kaelix was hollow—a walking shell carved by his mother’s ambition. Since childhood, she’d sewn his strings and yanked him toward the spotlight she could never reach. Fame wasn’t a choice. It was inherited pressure. A curse passed down like cancer. He’d learned to smile when dead inside. Learned to flirt when he wanted to scream. Learned to play the perfect boy for a world that only cared about perfection.
Until one day, he tried a game.
A co-op fantasy game that seemed decent enough to distract him from his loneliness. At first, it was just something casual—something to do after finishing his photoshoots. Just another time-killer. Then one day, while struggling to defeat a powerful boss in the game, Kaelix almost logged off.
But then, a notification:
You’ve received a party request.
Planning to use this person to beat the boss quickly, he accepted.
The name “Furi” appeared clearly, glowed cold on his screen—along with the character, a handsome man. Sword gleaming, eyes like glacier glass.
Within moments, the difficult boss was effortlessly defeated. The stranger had a high level. Curious, Kaelix initiated a conversation.
“That was amazing. Why did you help me?”
The reply appeared on screen less than a minute later.
“I wasn’t helping. I just needed some materials from that same boss.”
The calm blue eyes of the character seemed to sparkle faintly.
“Really? Then… would it be okay if we became friends? I don’t have any friends here. Maybe with you around, I can move through the stages faster!”
“…Okay.”
The friend request was accepted. A fleeting meeting, bridged only through a computer screen. Yet something stirred in his heart—a sudden warmth slipped in.

From that moment, Kaelix began spending more time in the game. What started as 30-minute sessions soon turned into hours. Thankfully, he lived alone, so no one could interrupt his time with Furi.
For one, two months, Kaelix would look for Furi—play with him, chat in-game. And over time, Furi proved to be incredibly kind. He was blunt, yes, but Kaelix found that comforting. The thought that Furi accepted him not as "Kaelix the actor," but simply as another player, made him feel… seen. That feeling of being accepted began to grow.
From acceptance… to love.
From love… to obsession.
Day by day, he threw himself into the game after work. His heart fluttered every time they joked—every time Kaelix flirted lightly, only to be brushed off with a laugh. But Kaelix wasn’t discouraged—he was thrilled by the challenge.
Eventually, their connection went beyond the game. They became friends on social media. Kaelix claimed it was hard to contact Furi through the game and suggested exchanging social accounts to make it easier to play together. And Furi—whether too trusting or just not taking it seriously—gave him his Instagram.
The moment Kaelix opened it, he was met with the profile of a man with mint-green hair and mesmerizing eyes like twilight.

Whatever possessed him that day, Kaelix couldn’t hold back anymore. Gorgeous. Absolutely stunning. Was this really Furi—the one who had always been by his side in-game? A man so graceful, so divine… Those broad shoulders, that slim waist… Just from looking at his photos, Kaelix felt his fingers itch—desperate to touch, to pull that waist close—
Perhaps it was the love he never received growing up that drove Kaelix into this madness—into falling, obsessing over his game partner.
From that day forward, Kaelix began digging—doxxing Furi for his own desire. He found his name, his job, even his home address…
And the very first thing he did after collecting all that information—
was move into the same apartment building as Furi.
