They Cursed Me

Summary:

Becoming a hero with such a villainous quirk is difficult, especially when you're technically quirkless, ESPECIALLY when you're not even technically training to be a hero. But even so, they still fight, as is the destiny of those who have manifested their curse, it’s just a shame that this batch of cursed youth, are bound to hell, and are destined to bring those they care about most down with them.
Or
Yūji, Nobara, and Megumi are sent to UA by the HPSC to become ‘heroes’ despite the fact that the branch they were recruited to isn't exactly considered ‘heroic’, and the true nature of thier ‘quirks’ would make anyone believe they were villains in the making.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

Yūji was quirkless. Despite all the physical abilities he was blessed with, he was still classified as quirkless, at least, that's what his physicals said.

Yūji was quirkless. He still remembered the day when he came home from the doctor, not thinking anything about this new revelation, only to now find himself isolated because he was no longer considered equal to everyone else.

Yūji was quirkless. He still remembered the feeling of being shut down from the idea of being a hero, he still remembered the looks of pity adults would throw his way.

Yūji was quirkless. But that was fine, his grandfather was also quirkless and he was doing just fine, and apparently, so was his father, so it was simply hereditary, so being quirkless was bound to happen.

Yūji was quirkless. He never truly aspired to be a hero, it was just one of those jobs every kid wanted until they got older and decided on other careers, but truth be told, he never truly aspired to be anything, being a hero would have been the easiest option, but he wouldn't be able to enter a hero school without a quirk.

Yūji was quirkless. So when his grandfather told him to help others in any way he could, he nearly cried for the first time. How was he supposed to help people if he couldn’t even be a hero? He questioned, an emergency dispatcher, his thoughts answered, he could be an emergency dispatcher, like a firefighter, though he did wish he had a quirk, then maybe, just maybe…

Yūji was quirkless, the night his grandfather died, was when it appeared out of nowhere. As he entered his bedroom, he saw it laying innocently on his bed. He doesn't know why, but it pulled him in, he picked it up, and if on pure instinct, he ate it whole, how unfortunate.

Yūji was quirkless. So when he was suddenly pulled into the hell-like area he was unprepared, even more so when he came face to face with a really pissed-off-looking older version of himself, decked out with four arms, a stomach mouth, four eyes, two faces, and tattoos from head to toe.

Yūji was quirkless. So when he first met Sukuna, he thought he was a villain that he just got caught by or something, though that mistake was quickly corrected by Sukuna, the demon that now lives inside his head. No, his curse that had taken form. Apparently, he's the manifestation of all the accumulated negative emotions he should have felt growing up, maybe that explains why he's so odd.

Yūji was quirkless. ‘Was’ being the keyword, and he didn't know what to do now, so when the Hero Public Safety Commission came knocking the day after his grandfather's death with intentions of ‘recruiting’ him for a secret ‘special’ branch he didn't really mind, a small, tiny, miniscule part of him was relieved, they promised that he'd be taken care of, so at least he wouldn't have to fend for himself before becoming a high schooler.

Yūji was quirkless. He has the pinky toe x-ray to prove it, but apparently, that didn't mean anything now, after all, he has a quirk now, no, a curse manifestation, and he was recruited to become one of the HPSC’s special agents, ‘heroes’ based on the explanation, even if it was a bit shady. But hey, he had 2 new friends and a teacher that has his back, even if they were a bit eccentric. So it'll all work out… right?
