Chapter Text
The sound of loud music and the visual of people dancing on a crowded dance floor was something new for Minsu. It was not like he had never been to a club before however it was a rare occasion.
He would be lying if he said he enjoyed the feeling of drunk, sweaty people bumping into him. It was clear to Minsu that this was not really his style or scene. Why was he here? Being the pushover he is, he had agreed to join one of his friends and accompany him.
And yet, here he was. Standing alone with his back against the wall, taking in the view that was in front of him. Minsu's friend did not mean to leave him alone for this long — they had gotten separated after his friend left to go get them drinks.
Minsu sighed, massaging his temple and closing his eyes. He could feel the headache forming. The bright neon LED lights made it worse. The sound of a glass hitting a table made him open his eyes towards the sound.
A woman with short black hair and piercings looking down at her phone with a frustrated expression on her face.

Semi downed another drink as she reread the message on her phone.
"let's break up"
She got the message this morning, yet she kept on rereading it, hoping she read it wrong. Her girlfriend, well ex girlfriend, broke up with her over text. It came as a surprise to her. They were dating for 3 years and everything seemed fine. Occasional arguements here and there but they always managed to figure out a solution.
Semi, despite wanting to keep her streak of staying sober, found herself at the bar. It was the same bar where her and her ex girlfriend met. Semi did not know why she came here out of all places.
Her blurry eyes looking over the message again. She doesn't even know how many times she read it. The liquor stung her throat. This was not a place she needed to be. Alongside her piling debt, this was just another thing added to her list of problems.
Taking one last sip before aggressively putting down her glass on the bar table. She closed her eyes to compose herself. After a few minutes she finally opened them and glanced around the club. A soft sigh left her lips before making eye contact with someone.
The person stared at her for a moment before averting his eyes. Semi let out a small laugh at his reaction. This did not look like a place he wanted to be. It was easy to tell from the way his hands were fidgeting and the pout on his face. Cute.
Semi lazily lifted herself off the barstool and made her way toward him. She could feel her head pounding as the migraine was reaching her eyes.

Minsu cursed at himself for being so obvious. Now she was walking towards him. She probably wants to find out why he was staring at her. He didn't mean to, it was just that the sound of the glass caught his attention. Okay... maybe he should not have stared for that long.
Minsu felt ill at the thought of the confrontation and having to explain himself. He refused to lift his head up until a hand tapped his shoulder.
"What's your name?" a voice asked.
"Park Minsu" he answered. It was difficult to hear the other through the loud music.
"Ah, Minsu" the voice repeated back. Minsu finally decided to look at the person in front of him. It was her. The one he was staring at.
The woman laughed a bit, resting her hand on his shoulder. "Relax, I'm not going to do anything." she said, her words slurring slightly.
She looked at him scanning her eyes over his features. It made him a bit uncomfortable, but he did not say anything. After all, It was his fault for staring.
"What brings you here? You don't look too happy to be here."
"My friend dragged me here... and now I can't find him"
"And he just left you here?"
"No." he answered a little too quickly, "He went to get us drinks but then I think he got lost into the crowd."
"Wanna drink with me? I've been having a shitty day and I'm not here with anyone either."
Minsu hesitated for a moment before agreeing to her request. He followed behind her to the bar as she waved down the bartender and ordered another drink.
Minsu sat next to her, feeling awkward as they waited for their drinks.
"What brings you here?" he asked her this time.
Perhaps it was a sensitive question the way her facial expression changed back to the same frustrated, sad look. She pulled out her phone and showed him the text message.
"What does that say?"
"... Let's break up"
She pulled her phone back and sighed. "I've read this bullshit over and over again. Who breaks up with someone over text?"
Minsu, not knowing what to say, took the drink the bartender slid towards him and took a few sips. It was his first drink since he's got here and he did not want to get too drunk.
The woman downed her drink once again. A few minutes had gone by. The loud music still ringing in Minsu's ears. He looked at her once again, letting his eyes scan her face. His eyes landed on her lip piercing. Minsu couldn't deny it — she was pretty and maybe that was why he couldn't help but look at her.
She lifted her eyes from her glass and looked at him. He could see she was tipsy from how glassy her eyes looked. She noticed the way his eyes lingered over her features. She noticed the way he glanced down at her lips.
She leaned into his space.
"You're staring."
Minsu quickly took his eyes away from her lips to meet hers. She laughed softly at his response.
Semi put her hand on his shoulder leaning in. Her eyes searching his face. "Can I kiss you?"
Minsu taken aback, his words getting caught. He gave her a small nod at her question.
She closed the distance between them and softly pressed her lips to his. Minsu could taste the bitterness of the liquor that was left from her drink. Still, he softly kissed back.
"Minsu!"
He heard a voice calling out to him. Minsu quickly pushed her away before looking over to see his friend frantically searching for him. Soon he managed to see him and came rushing over.
"I've been looking for you all everywhere!. Why didn't you come looking for me, huh?" his friend scolded him.
"Uh, wasn't sure where to look." he muttered.
"Well, come on. Don't want you getting lost again" his friend forcefully grabbed his arm and dragged Minsu away.
"Wait! I didn't get her name!" Minsu exclaimed, but he was already losing sight of her from the crowds of people blocking his view.
He had quickly lost sight of her. The flashing lights and vibration of the music made him more dizzy as he got dragged away.
