Summary
In the shimmering heart of Geneva, investigative journalist Caitlyn Kiramman is hunting the source of a mysterious new drug—Shimmer—that grants fleeting superhuman strength at a devastating cost. Her search leads her to CERN, where she collides—literally and figuratively—with Vi Laniski, a haunted ex-soldier turned security officer, whose past and family ties are tangled in the very darkness Cait is trying to expose.
At CERN, secrets are as volatile as antimatter—and when particles collide, they never do so by accident. Cait, the data-obsessed, autistic journalist, finds Vi infuriating and irresistible in equal measure. Vi, struggling to corral her ADHD with sheer grit, sarcasm, and nonstop motion, can't help but be drawn to Cait’s magnetic intensity—even as it makes her head spin.
Meanwhile, Vi’s estranged sister—equally neurodivergent and brilliant—is unknowingly caught in the experiment of a lifetime, and the fallout may be more personal than any of them could imagine.
