How To Say Goodbye To a Jeep

Summary:

Jon knows it's time to let the jeep go. He never uses it anymore. Not since the whole world found out he can fly!

Still, it seems only fitting to take one last road trip with the gang, for old times sake.

Chapter Text

'Why are we doing this again?' Jordan asked as they pulled into Mrs Cushing's driveway.

Jon gave the jeep's horn a single short honk before turning to his brother. 'I dunno... to say goodbye?'

Jordan poured another handful of peanuts into his hand and tipped them into his mouth, crunching so loudly Jon was sure he was trying to annoy him.

'To a jeep?' He mumbled through his mouthful.

Jon shrugged. 'Seemed weird to just give her up without doing anything.'

Jordan coughed, bits of peanut scattering across the jeep's floor. 'Her?'

'Dude, that's disgusting, what are you, five?' Jon gestured at the crumbs.

His brother rolled his eyes. 'Hey, you're the one who wanted to take HER on one last road trip man. Its gonna be a mess by tomorrow.'

Jordan's eyes perked up mid sentance and he lifted his hand to wave in Sarah's direction as she ran from her mom's house, squealing at them.

Jon smiled. Guess she was more excited about this than his brother.

'Just let me know when you get there!' Mrs Cushing called after her.

Sarah waved a hand back at her dismissively as she opened the passenger door and slid right into the middle seat.

'Heeeeeey, its my two favourite space boys!' Sarah slapped a hand on each of their shoulders.

'You know other space boys?'

Sarah ignored Jon's question, tossling Jordan's hair instead.

'Dude get off,' Jordan protested, but he was grinning from pink ear to pink ear.

'I'm on dude terms now?' Sarah feigned a look of offense before glancing back towards the house. 'Come on, let's go get Nat before my mom starts chasing after us with healthy snacks.'
