Sunny wakes up in a familiar white void, only accompanied by his thoughts… and Mewo, of course. Why is he back here? He told the truth 2 weeks ago… before he could think, a powerful knocking came from the other side of the door, followed by a muffled voice.
Aubrey: “Basil? Sunny? Anyone? Hello?”
Once the knocking stops, Sunny slowly walks through the door. Aubrey, Kel, and Hero are sitting on the floor in Neighbor’s Room, the colorful… everything, clashing with their somewhat dull color palette.
Aubrey: “Sunny!”
Aubrey runs over to Sunny.
Aubrey: “W-We just woke up here… we tried to go up, but a snake told us we can’t leave without 'Omori', apparently…”
Sunny: “I know where we are...”
Kel: “You do?”
Sunny: “...but it’s a long story, and I’m not sure I can tell you yet…”
Aubrey: “What do you mean you can’t?! Ugh… Fine.”
Hero: “Now now, Aubrey, now’s not the time to get angry, we still haven’t found Basil…”
Kel points to the glowing tunnel up the stairs
Kel: “Do you think Basil could be up there?”
Hero: “I guess that’s our only option…”
As they walk up the stairs, the snake looks up at Sunny.
Snake: “You may passssssss…”
After a short journey through a cramped tunnel, Sunny, Aubrey, and Kel emerge at the other side through a tree stump.
Kel: “Whew… finally, fresh air… hey, where’s Hero?”
Suddenly, Hero’s upper body pops out the tree stump
Hero: “U-um… guys! I’m stuck!”
Aubrey runs over, attempting to pull Hero out of the tree stump.
Aubrey: “Kel, a little help here?!”
Kel: “Only if you say please~!”
Aubrey: “Kel, stop being a smartass and help me get him unstuck!”
Kel: “Fine, sorry…”
Kel runs over and helps Aubrey, suddenly, Hero flies out of the tree stump and lands with a loud thump.
Hero: “Ow…”
Aubrey: “Now, where the hell are we supposed to go!”
Kel: “Don’t worry… I’m sure Sunny knows this place like the back of his hand!”
Sunny points to the route directly in front of everyone.
Sunny: “The Playground should be the safest.”
Hero: “Well… It looks safer than the forests… Gah, spiders everywhere…”
They begin to make their way towards the playground, the various denizens they can see ahead stopping to stare at them.
Aubrey: “There's Basil!”
Basil is curled up on a picnic blanket, shaking and crying uncontrollably.
Basil: “Everything is going to be okay… Everything is going to be okay…”
Suddenly, a familiar voice rings out, and everyone stops in their tracks.
???: “Welcome back~!”
Hero: “M-Mari..?”
