It had been a normal day for Stonemover before Morrowseer summoned him to the Queen’s council chamber. The entire way there through the hot, smoky passageways the only thing he Stonemover could think of was why he was being called- did he do something to offend them, he hoped not or it would just make his life worse. After all Stonemover was an animus, in the Queen’s eyes a tool to do her bidding-he shivered. Eventually Stonemover reached the council room, all along the walls was attending Nightwing councilmen eager to hear what the summon was about, there were Nightwing guards by the door, Stonemover was standing on a rocky platform in the middle of a pit of lava, and in front of him was Queen Battlewinner, gazing at him with sinister, hungry eyes. Everyone was either watching Stonemover or Queen Battlewinner, holding their breath. Finally, Battlewinner spoke in a sharp, commanding voice “I summoned everyone here today to announce what Stonemover’s enchantment will be. Stonemover shall construct two cave-like tunnels between our island, the rainforest and the desert, enchanted to link to each other. These tunnels will give us access to food, as well as a way to easily get to the continent for assassinations, and eventually take the rainforest for ourselves." Stonemover felt lightheaded and anxious, the enchantments he made would determine whether his tribe lived or died, as well as his entire worth as a dragon of the Nightwing tribe. “Any objections?” asked Queen Battlewinner “alright then, Stonemover leaves in 10 days, meeting over.” Stonemover turned and walked away on shaking talons, mind spinning. ‘I have to discuss this with Starlight, she’ll know what to do’ he thought. So Stonemover trekked through the bland, grey, rough tunnels until he reached Starlight’s living cave. Starlight had her own cave partly because Stonemover asked for it, and mostly because she was his sister and therefore had animus blood and needed to be well kept. The entrance to Starlight’s home had a curtain made of a brown animal pelt for privacy. Stonemover taped his claws loudly on the stone entryway and called “Starlight, are you here?” he heard some shuffleing then a purplish-black head popped out the doorway “come in” she said cheerfully. They walked over to a pair of cuishons and sat down. Starlight was a medium sized dragon with scales that were more purple than black, her spines and horns were silver, but weirdly her eyes were greenish-silver but very kind. “So why’d you stop by, was it because you’re lonley or do you want to talk about something?” Stonemover swallowed before saying “The council has decided what my enchantments will be.” Starlight stared at him wide-eyed and asked “do you think you’ll be okay after the enchantment is done?” “I don’t know” Stonemover said sadly. Both of them sat in silence for a while until Starlight asked “what will the enchantments do?” “They will be like portals to the rainforest and the desert so we don’t have to fly accross the ocean” Stonemover said. “Will you need a guards to protect you while you make them?” Starlight asked. “I think I will” Stonemover replied. “Would it be alright if I came along as your bodyguard?” asked Starlight. Stonemover smiled at her “are you afraid I’ll get lonley” he teased. “No it’s just-I, um, have something to tell you” Starlight stuttered. “What is it?” Sonemover asked, concern in his voice. “You know how I was partnered up in the population growth programe. I might be with egg” Starlight explained. “You’re going to have eggs!” Stonemover exclaimed, excited. “Yes, and i’ve been looking for a way to get off the island so my dragonets never have to experience the smoke, heat, and starvation of this horrid place” Starlight said sadly. “I’ll ask Queen Battlewinner if it would be okay to bring you with me” said Stonemover. “Well when do you leave?” asked Starlight. Stonemover said “In about 10 days”. “I’ll be ready” said Starlight.
