“You’ll never be a star.”

That was the last thing that was said in the wonderstage…. In my Troupe: Wonderland x Showtime. I was walking away…away from it all, and I found an abandoned playground and sat on the swing set.

“I was an idiot for what I did to them, why…why did I get so angry  at them they were helping.”

I’m still the fool, the guy who made himself the center of attention, who let anger and perfection blind him and pushed his ONLY friends away. I should give them space they probably need it after our….argument.

“Maybe Miku and the others may know what to do” a set of neighs was heard, “huh what was that?” 

What was that…no, it must be my imagination all of this has been making me sleepy, no I must stay awake.

The neighs were getting closer…somehow, and Tsukasa was feeling more sleepy by the second.

“It wouldn’t be bad if I….” Tsukasa had passed out from everything that had happen to him and then all of a sudden, a cartridge had passed and both it and Tsukasa had vanished.

Somewhere in the heart of a man, a sekai had collapsed and now its magic lies dormant in his heart.

When Tsukasa woke up, he found himself in a dark place. And its door blasted open by blue flames and Tsukasa fell out to the floor. 

“Ouch…what the heck”

“Hey, are you alright?”

Tsukasa looked up and saw a boy looking at him

“Hey…do you know where we are?” Tsukasa asked him

“No, not really….ah” the other boy got jumped by a cat?...

“You don’t just ignore me, humans,” The cat said, shooting blue flames everywhere.

Tsukasa shoved the cat off the other boy and grabs his arm, “Come on let's go”  and the two bolted out of the coffin-filled room. The two ran away to different places before ending out in a library room, as the cat kept following them, the two stopped, breathing heavily.

“Oh, I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself. i’ḿ Tsukasa Tenma”

“Name’s Yuu, nice to meet you, Tsukasa.” Yuu smiled at Tsukasa

“Think you can avoid me, humans? Now hand over your robes.” 

Tsukasa looked at himself and noticed his purple and gold robe. Tsukasa must admit it is cool, but why was he wearing this?

“It seems you two wanted to make an entrance, but some at least they can hold back till I open the gate?”  a new voice entered, and it sounded older. The three looked over and saw a man with a mask.

“Who are you?” Yuu asked, and  Tsukasa  nodded, agreeing with him

“Finally someone who will listen-ah.” The cat was taken and held by the man. “Hey, I’m meant to be a student.” “Yeah, that's what all familiars  say.”

“Excuse me, sir, but where are we?” Tsukasa asked, “Yeah, where are we?” Yuu added 

“Shouldn’t you two know?” Tsukasa and Yuu looked at each other. “Maybe your portals didn’t work” The man mumbled to himself, still holding that cat thing. “So, where are we then, sir?”  Tsukasa asked, he is starting to hate these vague answers he’s giving

“Well, since I’m a good headmaster, I’ll give you two an answer and walk with me, let's head to orientation.” Tsukasa and Yuu follow him as they head towards a courtyard

The man started to speak, “ You two are in Night Raven College, a prestigious institution in all of Twisted Wonderland for people who demonstrated an aptitude for magic, and I’m Dire Crowley, the headmaster for this school,”  he finished, looking at the two, who now looked shocked. 

I’m in a magic school, but how, how am I here? I’m just a normal guy, this can’t be. Tsukasa started thinking he was stressing himself out. Yuu and Crowley were chatting, but Tsukasa wasn’t hearing any more of it.

“Hey, Tsukasa, we’re here,” Yuu said to Tsukasa.

Tsukasa looked ahead and saw many students with the same robes as the two, and they were talking about something?.... He’s not too sure. Mr. Crowley told Yuu to go first and was told he was…magicless. That sounds right if Tsukasa believes what he was told earlier.

“Now, Mr. Tenma, please step forward and tell your name to the dark mirror,” Crowley said as the cat was trying to break free from the headmage’s grip. Tsukasa walked forward and saw 5 students and a…. tablet watching him. Tsukasa was standing in front of the mirror, “Tsukasa” he said, trying to look confident.

The mirror was silent, watching him like a hawk before it spoke up, “Your soul, it's different than any students ever here, so no dorm would be appropriate for you.” There was silence across the whole room. “Another student with no magic” Mr. Crowley seems shocked again from Yuu’s judgment and now Tsukasa’s. Tsukasa felted…scared. What was he going to do now? He quickly ran back to stand with Yuu, the only person close to comfort he could get here. Yuu would understand this, right?  

The cat creature broke free from the headmage’s grip “Then give their seats to ME” “you hyperactive weasel” Crowley shot back at him “unlike those two humans I have magic the great Grim shall be a student here” So the cat was named Grim that’s fine  “And I will show you that” Grim started summoning fire everywhere and one fire got close to a student. Tsukasa reacted quickly running towards the student “ Watch out” he yelled, knocking both him and the student down as a fireball flowed by them. Tsukasa looked down as he was on top of the other and the student looked… pretty like really pretty. “Excuse me” “Oh, I... sorry” Tsukasa quickly got up as Crowley yelled about catching that little weasel. “Tsukasa, are you okay?” Yuu asked him “All good, Yuu” Tsukasa responded back, though he was blushing a bit from it.

In the end ‘Riddle’ (the student he had protected) and ‘Azul’ had caught Grim and if Tsukasa was being honest, ‘Riddle’ looked nice and if he were to be asked, he had a complete crush on the guy. Anyway, the two chased Grim around for a bit till he was cornered.

Chapter Text

Riddle had collared the poor creature, lecturing it about rules, and it couldn’t even fight back, even though it already did many times. After some comments from the others and Grim too, and telling Crowley Grim wasn’t Yuu’s familiar, the ‘housewardens’ have left to escort the students to the dorms. Not before some have wondered where Housewarden Draconia was, but that didn’t matter as someone else had come in his place. But not before Riddle had walked past Tsukasa, giving him a smile, a really cute one at that, giving Tsukasa a blush when he looked away quickly.

Now it’s only Crowley, Yuu, and Tsukasa left in the room. ”Well, I'm sorry that you two are here, let's get you back home. Step towards the mirror and visualize where you are from,” as Tsukasa and Yuu did this the dark mirror had said there was no place where they belonged. Tsukasa had started spiralling again. 

Why am I still here? What am I meant to do now I can’t be a star? What can I  do now here, but if Yuu is here, maybe it won’t be bad- 

“Hey Tsukasa, where are you from?” Yuu was talking to him again, “What-oh-um, Shibuya.” Crowley seems to be in thought about this. “I’ve never heard of these places before.”  Well, Shibuya is well known, but what can I say  Tsukasa had thought, “How about we head to the Library and look for your homes?” Crowley suggested

As Tsukasa and Yuu follow Crowley at the back of Tsukasa’s mind, he began wondering if he could try and interact with Riddle again, but if he could go home, he honestly won’t want to; maybe this is a new chance?

 The magic within his heart had pulsed when Riddle had walked past him like it wanted to believe, but it dimmed just as fast, feeling Tsukasa’s own hatred for himself.

When the three got to the library, they started trying to find any map of Shibuya or Yuu’s home, but at last, nothing came up in the search.

“Are you sure you know what your home is, or is this meant to be a hoax or jape” Crowley asked them. “Seriously, I'm from Shibuya, Mr. Crowley” Tsukasa told him, and Yuu agreed as well. “Then do you have any point of identification, a driver's license, even?” I don’t have anything, not even my phone. I must have left it at home or on the Wonderstage when I…. never mind. “Yeah, I got nothing on me.” Tsukasa had mumbled, “Me neither” Yuu replied back.

“Well then, there is a place where you can stay till we figure out how to send you home, it's only a little ways from here”  Crowley said before going on a rant about how generous he is for Tsukasa and Yuu, but soon they headed out towards this place Crowley mentioned.

To say their new home had character was an understatement; it had too much character. When Tsukasa and Yuu entered, Crowley told them to find something to do while he kept looking for their homes. “It’s super dusty in here like winter hit earlier” Yuu commented, running his hand on furniture in the lounge. “Well, with a bit of work and elbow grease, I’m sure we can make this a good temporary home” Tsukasa had saided, looking around at everything.

*BANG*

It was raining outside now. “It really is coming down hard, right?” Tsukasa joked, “I’ll go see if I can find any buckets for these holes for now.”  Tsukasa quickly headed off, looking around for anything. He didn’t go far, just to the next room, which was a kitchen-like area which sadly had no buckets. “Well, there was nothing at the momen- what the, Grim?”  Tsukasa was shocked to see Grim again, wasn’t he thrown out? “Hah, like some collar will stop Grim from going here” Tsukasa just looked at Yuu, and Yuu just shrugged at him since he already tried talking with him to help the magicless duo. “We were just about to head upstair to see what it was like” Yuu say heading to the stairs, the others followed Yuu upstairs.

Sadly upstairs wasn’t much different from downstairs but Tsukasa wasn’t trying to lose hope for this place. Thou he was being the shield for Yuu and Grim while walking upstairs not that he cares much. “Do you feel like someone is watching us Tsukasa?” Yuu asked feeling cold on his spine “Like some ghost is here that won’t the great Grim- Myahhhh” some ghost had appear, like real actually ghost Tsukasa would be shocked but talking cats and a school of magic just felt like something normal now, should he be worried about himself?

Nevertheless now they had some ghost to deal with and even if they had to convince Grim to help they were able to scare them off. Yuu saw the ghosts from the left, Tsukasa sees the ghosts from the right, and Grim uses his fire to scare them honestly they all make a good team.

Thankfully after scaring the ghosts to the hills it was quiet once more beside the rain. “We did pretty well if I must say” Yuu said “Agree thou Grim should get the most credit for actually scaring the ghosts” Tsukasa said back to him “Mya hah hah” Grim laughed. “Since I am so kind I have brought you two dinner-wait” Crowley appeared “Why is that weasel back I thought I kicked it out” Crowley said looking at Tsukasa and Yuu as if they have the answer, so after Yuu explain what had happened and from little bits from Tsukasa.

“I do remember there was a persistent ghost problem here in this dorm”  And you never thought to try and fix it, some supposed headmage you are Tsukasa thought but kept his lips shut so as not to anger him. “So show me how you did it then” Crowley asked “Hah like I would work with those humans again” Grim objected “Hey maybe this will let you in the academy” Yuu told Grim “Didn’t you say you want to be a student here?” Tsukasa added. “Fine I work with them again but I want more tuna for this” So as Crowley drank a transformation potion the three got ready again to be victorious.

Great news was that even if Crowley up the difficulty Grim, Yuu, and Tsukasa were besting him, the three’s teamwork was amazing if you had watched it.

“So how did we do, Sir?” Tsukasa asked as Grim did look tired from the ‘fight’ they just endured. “I’m shocked how you three did” Crowley responded “More specifically how you did Yuu” Crowley continued “with what Crowley?” Yuu had answered Tsukasa was wondering too but didn’t voice his opinion again. “To see a person had much control over a monster I did feel from intuition that you could have a beast tamer energy….” Crowley started mumbling.

Please by whoever is up there that Grim can stay or even any of us really. But I don’t have a good feeling about this if Crowley keeps mumbling on, but what if-

“Do you have a good feeling about this Tsukasa?” Yuu asking the question quickly pulled Tsukasa out of his thoughts. “Not really but maybe it’s a good thing” Tsukasa mumbled to Yuu. Please don’t notice our conversation Crowley “Aha I have an idea” Crowley finally said out of his mumbles “I can’t have a monster roaming around the campus and I also can’t have you two freeloading till you can get home” I was thinking of trying to find SOMETHING to do while I’m stuck here “So I hope you three can do some odd jobs around campus” Crowley told the three “So how do you feel if you three become NRC’s first janitorial team” Crowley finished even as Grim began to complain about it and Crowley told them what they would do.

It was simple enough that if the three got their work done they had the right to go to the library to find a way home for Yuu and Tsukasa so Tsukasa ain’t complaining about it. He can think of it like a show like a star he was, well maybe it can be backstage more but hey he is good at cleaning too so he is fine as long as Yuu is doing it too.

Even if he can’t be front stage he can support from backstage, the magic lightly glowed agreeing in the subconscious of his body

After settling in his room for the night Tsukasa did get a bit of sleep but not much thankfully it doesn’t bother him too much about it. That morning he was awaken by one of the ghost they had to chase off but it seem calmer then his friend “Up and at them Mr” the ghost told him “I thought you would try and scare me awake” Tsukasa told the ghost but the ghost just shrugged at him “You seem calmer then your other friends” the ghost responded, Tsukasa stayed silent but then heard a noise from the other room, that Yuu and Grim stayed in.

Tsukasa ran in “Is everyone alright?” he was breathing a bit heavy “Yeah just some ghost tried to scare us but they got Grim. I had to hold him back before he burned this place down” Yuu told him. Tsukasa sighed, thankful everything was okay. “It seems like you all are awake now” Crowley had entered the room “Now are you all ready because if so come downstairs so I can explain what you all are doing today” he said.

As the three came downstairs Crowley began explaining the task they must do which was simple. Clean up between the front gates to the library because as Yuu and Tsukasa don’t have magic or so Tsukasa thinks they can’t do the whole campus in one go. And after they finish they can go to the cafeteria Does Tsukasa really think he can deserve that. Even if Grim complains again about it, Tsukasa can make it work.

Crowley gave Tsukasa and Yuu some things to wear to clean well. Tsukasa was given yellow gloves that are up to his elbows that he had to roll up his sleeves and an apron that was vibrant yellow with pockets in them. So after that he decided himself to go ahead of Yuu and Grim to get a good look before Grim will start to complain and Tsukasa will have to make sure he doesn’t cause trouble, thankfully the walk was not long and he found himself by the statues of people, he also found a supplies by them to next to them probably from Crowley.

Tsukasa just decided to start work immediately but he felt a form of interest in these statues and it wasn’t like Yuu and Grim or any other students were around at the moment so sue him if he wanted to read the writing under the statues. He started with the lady with the specter he quickly read over the writing and did a prayer for safety in this world and these were people that were seen as great so it was okay. Oh great Queen of hearts please protect my travels and Yuu and Grim as well, he thought to the statue. He did feel more okay after that so he went to each statue, read the writing they had offered about the person and prayed to them, so after all of that he feels more okay and a bit more calm after the prayers so he calls it a success.

By the time he was finished Yuu and Grim had arrived “Tsukasa how were you faster then us” Yuu had asked Tsukasa “Its probably because you have to deal with Grim or I just exercised   a lot for…nevermind” Tsukasa was confidant for a few seconds but it dimmed quickly from that last part, Yuu noticed but decided that was a question for another time maybe it was a sore topic to Tsukasa Yuu doesn’t know. “Nyaa lets just get this over with so I can study to be the greatest mage Mha haha” Grim said before noticing the statues “Who are these people?” Grim asked noticing the Queen of Hearts statue but before Tsukasa could say something the trio heard a new voice “You don’t know about the Queen of Hearts” the new guy said.

This new guy, Ace as Tsukasa would be told a little later had gone and explain each statute to the trio even though Tsukasa already knew thanks to the writing he never commented on it and neither did Yuu so he was okay with keeping quiet. But by the end of it all Ace had try to taunt Grim, Tsukasa didn’t like the new feeling forming in his chest so he tried to clean up more as he walked a bit away from Ace, Grim and Yuu to continue cleaning as he did do it during Ace’s explainance for each statue.

Some way Tsukasa’s feeling in his chest was right as Ace started trash talking Yuu and Grim about orientation even Tsukasa wasn’t safe from this. “And Tsukasa the guy who may not have any magic at all” Ace said to him “If I remember right the dark mirror say that my ‘soul’ is different we don’t know anything yet so stop trying to antagonize us” Tsukasa told Ace, glaring at him “hah and now all of you are part of a janitor team because unlike you all I have classes” Tsukasa tried to hold Grim back but Tsukasa lose his grip and Grim was trying to burn Ace.

Now to no one’s surprise Grim and Ace started fighting though it seemed like a losing fight for Grim as Ace was using wind magic to fight back against Grim’s fireballs. Tsukasa was now standing by Yuu being careful of the fight in front of the two “Should we try and stop it before something will happen” Yuu asked Tsukasa “I don’t think they will listen to us at all” Tsukasa responded back looking sad “Hey don’t let Ace’s word affect you okay Tsukasa” Yuu told him but now Tsukasa is feeling better thanks to it.

Ace and Grim’s fight was getting boring but Ace had somehow with his wind magic sent one of Grim’s fireballs to the Queen of Hearts statue and the two started to lose it when Crowley appeared. “What did I say about no more incidents?” Crowley told the four of them and Grim and Ace got the whip of ‘love’ . Tsukasa would like to argue against it but he doesn’t want to fall fate to it. After Crowley lectured them about it all four of them now have to scrub one-hundred windows. Tsukasa thinks that Crowley could just force Ace to work with them but beggars can’t be choosers. Tsukasa doesn’t mind cleaning, it distracts him.

 The pulse staggered for a mere moment when Tsukasa was lectured by Crowley but return to normal before anyone could notice

Now Tsukasa, Yuu and Grim were sitting in the cafeteria waiting for Ace “Do you think he’s coming?” Grim told Tsukasa and Yuu “Ace is probably skipping Grim” Tsukasa answered. “Lets go find him cause we ain’t cleaning all his mess” Grim said “Think of this as a good lesson for yourself” Yuu said back to Grim “Come on lets go find Ace anyway” Tsukasa finally said as the the other two agree with him as the trio head off somewhere to find.

The three headed to one of the rooms in the school “ACEEEEE” Grim called out into the classroom “I don’t think he’s here Grim” Yuu told Grim as Tsukasa looked around the room finding no trace of Ace. “Are you looking for someone?” A painting told the three of course Yuu was shocked to hear a painting talk but Tsukasa was almost used to the craziness of this world. “Have you seen him anywhere then Mr.Painting” Tsukasa asked “Ah someone has respect atleast. But I’ve seen him head towards his dorm” The painting informs them “Do you know where to get to this dorm then?” Yuu said “Oh just towards the mirror room you would see seven mirrors leading to each dorm for this school” The painting remark to them “When I see him-” Grim started before Tsukasa interrupted “Thank you very much Mr.Painting” Tsukasa told the painting as he leads Yuu and Grim out the room.

“Hey Yuu I’ll start cleaning up the windows while you two find Ace okay?” Tsukasa told Yuu “Are you sure Tsukasa it may be a lot of work for just you” Yuu said “No its fine really you two go find him and this can give us a chance to look in the library after” Tsukasa said back as Yuu agree with his idea and takes Grim to go and look for Ace. Tsukasa had begun to clean a few windows he thought were dirty but he thought he was being watched but maybe it was just the paintings.

Tsukasa is still trying to figure out if he is being watched but shouldn’t everyone be in class or is it still lunch? Tsukasa can’t be too sure on that, maybe there's more paintings in the hallway. Tsukasa heard footsteps approaching him so he quickly stopped and looked over and was quickly shocked from who he saw. It was Riddle, the housewarden for Heartslabyul he thinks and Riddle is still……reallly cute and pretty he really needs to calm down. “Hey um Mr. Riddle, how are you doing?” Tsukasa had asked when Riddle stopped in front of him “Ah you one of the people that broke the rules” Riddle blankly told Tsukasa “Sorry I didn’t realize I had broken a rule I promise to follow any rules that are needed” Tsukasa said back to Riddle, Riddle appeared shocked before he turn away telling Tsukasa one thing “I’ll see if you do that” And Tsukasa swears he thought he saw Riddle have a small bush after leaving but maybe its a false alarm.

After that amazing and weird encounter with the housewarden Tsukasa had continued his work successfully cleaning 50 of the 100 windows for the punishment he and the others needed to be done. He took a small break and when he looked out a window he saw…Grim running towards the school and he heard another set of footsteps and it was Yuu and he looked out of breath “Tsukasa…please helps us catch Grim he ran away when we found Ace” “You got it” so Tsukasa ran down the hall dragging Yuu along.

Thankfully Ace and some other kid he was calling Juice tried to catch Grim, they failed twice before Tsukasa was finally catching up to Grim but he missed and the four continued to catch after the cat. 

When Tsukasa was chatting with Riddle for a mere few moments the magic in him try to sync with Riddle but it failed sadly still feeling Tsukasa’s fear

Chapter Text

After the four caught up to Grim in the Cafeteria, he had climbed up the chandelier and was just hanging there laughing at them. “Grim come on down” Tsukasa tried first “If you fall your going to get hurt” Yuu said as well “Mya ha ha the great Grim ain’t doing no chores” Grim yell back from the chandelier as Tsukasa just sigh he already had half it done it ain’t that much left. “Come on Juice you have any ideas to get that furball down” Ace said to the other guy with them “Its not ‘Juice’ its Deuce” ‘Deuce’ said back to Ace and he was thinking on something before pointing his pen with a stone on it towards Ace and he started floating “Wait what abore abore”  Ace was yelling but Deuce just said to caught Grim when he is close to him “Will this end well Tsukasa?” Yuu looked between them “No it will not, we’ll be lucky if it does” Tsukasa told him shrugging. 

It did not end well at all when Deuce threw Ace towards the chandelier he did get Grim but they landed poorly on the ground and shattered the chandelier, and of course Crowley showed up and yelled at the group AGAIN. It's really just bad luck now with everything Tsukasa thought as Crowley kept yelling at them. “Do you realize what you all did” Crowley asked them while Deuce did say he call pay for it or how Ace said that Crowley could fix it both were wrong, it's a god ton expensive to pay and that the magestone for the chandelier was shattered and therefore the chandelier can’t burn forever. “You all will be expelled” Crowley told them “Wait sir please there must be a way to fix this” Tsukasa said the others agreeing with him. Thankfully there can be a way to fix it all to find a magestone from the same mines as the original stone was from and after more knowledge learn from Crowley and telling them to head to the mirror to get to the mines. They are off to fix this mistake and as Yuu and the others walk through the mirror Tsukasa thought for a moment.

Lets hope we can fix this all and find that magestone I can’t leave this is all I have now, please great seven give us the luck we will need to find it.

And he walks through the mirror to the dwarf’s mine.

Chapter Text

After going through the mirror Tsukasa saw a dense forest with a tiny house. “So is this the dwarf’s mine?” Tsukasa wondered aloud “This must be more of a home for the miners”  Deuce said to him “Oh and my name is Tsukasa Tenma its nice to meet you and all” Tsukasa said embarrassed “Deuce, Deuce Spade” after that the five agreed to investigate the house.

Entering the house it was smaller than Tsukasa expected and also looked abandoned. “This place is extremely dusty” he commented  “Yeah there’s 7 seven little chairs Tsukasa, what used to live here clowns?”  Ace says “Come on I don’t think we’ll find any knowledge here” Yuu told them “I agree with henchman on this i’m covered in cobwebs” Grim says as well. So the five leave the house and head towards the cave. But Tsukasa thought as they headed towards it.

Please tell me we’ll  actually find the magestone. I don't want to destroy everyone’s dream now.

They find the cave covered in vines, and inside is mostly dark. “It seems really dark in there” Yuu commented first among them “Its more pitch black in there henchhuman” Grim said sitting on Tsukasa’s back “Ohh Grim you scared of the dark?” Ace teased, “It’s fine I'll lead the way, you all just follow me” Tsukasa said walking into the mouth of the cave. As the five of them walked into the cave Tsukasa liked how the stones in the cave looked like they were glowing. It made Tsukasa a bit at ease from being inside the cave. They finally stop at a intersection like area of the cave. “We still haven’t found that magestone” Tsukasa mumbled “Myaaa what is that” Grim looked ahead and see three ghosts approaching them. “Not this again” Yuu said as they ran away “Ace, Deuce, Grim try and use your magic to scare them away” Tsukasa yelled to them, the three agreed and started using their magic.

While they did pause running once to catch their breaths they were able to scare them off by for seven’s sake can Tsukasa please stop having ghosts bothering them.

After trying to scare off the ghosts that were already chasing them it seems even more ghosts were floating around the cave. “Trying to fight all of them will be useless” Deuce said as the group took a moment to relax “Should we continue to run then?” Yuu asked looking at Deuce but before he could give a response Ace started an argument with Deuce about how it was all his fault and even Grim joined in the argument. Tsukasa was getting annoyed by all this but didn’t say anything but he was so fed up with these three’s bickering that he just…

“OH FOR SEVEN’S SAKES IT'S ALL THREE OF YOU WHO'S AT FAULT ACE YOU STARTED ALL OF THIS BECAUSE YOU ANTAGONIZED GRIM AND GRIM YOU JUST HAD TO START A FIGHT WITH ACE AND BURN THE STATUE AND GET US IN TROUBLE BUT ACE YOU THEN TRY TO WALK OUT ON IT AND YOU TOO GRIM AND DEUCE YOU JUST HAD TO USE A BRIGHT IDEA FOR THROWING ACE AND BREAKING THE CHANDELIER BRINGING US TO THIS SITUATION, SO DON’T THINK IT’S JUST ONE OF YOU IT’S ALL OF YOU WHO DID THIS IF I WAS A HOUSEWARDEN WHO FOUND OUT, I HAVE YOUR HEADS”  

Tsukasa was screaming but everyone else was shocked by this. “Wait-I- sorry about that I didn’t mean to do that” Tsukasa was stressing, he didn’t want to be the man he was before with them but Yuu place a hand on his shoulder “It’s fine Tsukasa i’m sure the others needed that” Yuu said with a sigh and a smile. “God Tsukasa you sounded a lot like housewarden Rosehearts there” Ace said after recovering from the shock as Deuce nodded. Tsukasa was blushing from that I sounded like Riddle, oh god I didn’t think that would happen- Tsukasa was quickly pulled from his thoughts when they all hear a noise.

It was a monster with no face yelling about something and immediately the group ran and hid. “Myaa I didn’t think a monster would be here” Grim said as he held onto Yuu’s shirt, Tsukasa looked from the pillar the group was hiding behind and saw the monster and he truly felt real fear in him but also small fragments of determination too. ”Then if there is magestones here I will get them” Deuce finally said “Seriously Deuce it’s too dangerous to fight whatever that thing is” but that didn’t stop Deuce and he ran out.   

The determination was from the magic within but it only was mere weak to Tsukasa

Seeing Ace AND Deuce get their butts handed to them seems a bit right with how they are acting but it still isn’t the best to see, and while Grim did try to burn the monster it didn’t work. “Tsukasa what are we gonna do” Yuu shouted, being by Ace and Deuce checking on them for injuries, Tsukasa grabbed Grim “The only thing we can really do now: RUN” Tsukasa ran towards the open cave mouth with the others following him. 

 After running they stopped by the house again breathing heavily and tired. “Listen I don’t know what that ‘thing’ was but what are we gonna do?” Tsukasa said finally “Well that ‘thing’ might be hiding a magestone we may have to do something” Yuu looked at Tsukasa even though Ace and Deuce were arguing AGAIN, Tsukasa sighed feeling annoyed again by these two and the continuing arguments between them but Yuu seem to think for a second before whispering something to Tsukasa and he nods.

“So we all are just going to be expelled then”  Tsukasa said, shrugging towards Ace and Deuce who are still arguing “How about we ACTUALLY cooperate unless you actually want this” Yuu said with a serious tone that seem to finally get the two’s attention “It’s would be kind of lame to be expelled” Grim said as he jumped on Yuu’s shoulder looking at Ace and Deuce. “So what you want us to be all buddy-buddy with each other count me out” Ace said glaring at Deuce “Yeah me neither” Deuce said right back. “Well we all need to work together if we want to get that magestone” Yuu said as Tsukasa nods along and with a bit of convincing from both Tsukasa and Yuu to get Ace and Deuce to work together and to listen to Yuu’s plan, the five of them stood in front of the cave entrance again.

Let’s show this monster what we got  Tsukasa thought as the others got ready

Tsukasa, Yuu and Grim stood around seeing the monster there too “ hey you big monster” Grim yelled out towards the creature “THIEFFFFS” the monster ran towards Grim but before reaching him “ Hey i’m over here” Yuu called out before sprinting towards the trees “BEGOOOOONE” the monster sounded as it ran towards Yuu and it almost hit him before Tsukasa got the monster’s attention next. Once the three worked together ran around and away from the monster “Ace, Deuce it’s your turn now” Tsukasa yelled towards the boys narrowly dodging a strike from the monster “Hah ha taste this you monster” Ace said as he summon a large gust of wind towards it “And this too” Grim said as he blew a large fireball towards the monster, and the two moves made a giant fire tornado. “Heh even Grim’s fireballs can be powerful with my gust of wind” Ace snickered looking at Grim “Why you-” “Deuce now” Tsukasa said before an argument could start between the two, Deuce mumbled something to himself before he summoned a large cauldron and it fell right on top of the monster pinning it to the ground. “ Yes it work, the plan work” Grim cheer “Now come on everyone let’s get that magestone” Tsukasa said as they all ran into the cave.

“Woah this is the magestone right?” Tsukasa said when they located the magestone and freed it from the cave wall, the stone was shiny and pretty, way prettier than any stones Tsukasa had seen back in Shibuya. A loud roar was heard and Tsukasa could see the monster was almost free from its trap “Mhaaaa Deuce you need to add more weight” Grim said jumping on Tsukasa’s shoulder and clutching it and Deuce had summoned more cauldrons, effectively keeping that thing to the ground. “Is that all you can summon Deuce?” Ace had ask but Deuce just yelled at him that he was all worked up from it “It doesn’t matter we have the stone let’s go” Yuu said as they all ran with the stone away from the cave and the monster.

As the five of them ran one thing became terribly true: the monster was still chasing them roaring about getting it’s stone back and Tsukasa was terrified if the monster chased them and as they reached the cottage once more it became obvious to the rest of the group.

“Its still chasing us” Ace said, looking back as the monster nears them. “How could push off the weight so easily” Deuce said as well looking scared Yuu and Tsukasa looked at each other and nodded “We need to defeat it now it’s weak so it should be fine” Yuu started with lingering confidents “Causes it kill or be killed thank you guys can do it?” Tsukasa finished looking at Ace, Deuce and Grim “Yeah lets finish this once and for all” Ace said as Ace, Deuce and Grim steady for the battle.

Thankfully the battle was over before Tsukasa could notice thanks to the three actually working together with Yuu’s help and they defeated the monster for good this time. “You guys all did great” Tsukasa said as the monster finally fell and everyone was celebrating “Guess friendship really can defeat things” Yuu laughs and Tsukasa followed soon after as Ace, Deuce and tried to deny it but Deuce honestly said it was thanks to Yuu’s help, they all got out of this alive “Hey Tsukasa helped too Deuce” Yuu said with a small glare at Deuce “No, it’s fine Yuu you did most of the work” Tsukasa said but Yuu looked at him with a sad look but didn’t comment further “Now though we should head home to rest you three look tired” Tsukasa said “Mhaaa agree the great Grim used to much magic” Grim said back and Ace and Deuce nodded too. But before they leave Grim notices something “What’s this?” Grim said looking at the black stone, Tsukasa slightly raised it in his hands and looked at it “This looks like a magestone but as black as coal” Tsukasa said putting it back down as Grim sniffs it “If it tastes as good as it smells” Grim said “Wait Grim what are you doin-” Yuu said and Grim just ate it. “Grim, you don’t just eat black stones you find,” Tsukasa said, sounding both angry and worried for the cat’s safety. Thankfully again Grim was fine even saying that stone tasted good and with a bit of back and forth from the humans in the group they headed off to the school to give the magestone over.

Returning through the portal they went through to get to the Dwarf’s mine they find Crowley there and as they have small talk Crowley slips that he didn’t think they all were actually going to the mines to get a magestone and was preparing their expulsion papers You could have at least waited to see if we actually were doing it Tsukasa thought “Well then” Crowley said “Recount this story please” as the group headed to Crowley office.

When in the office which to Tsukasa looks pretty bare and the only noticeably thing was floating frames with each of the great seven on them, Yuu, Ace, Deuce and Grim recount the story as Tsukasa stood by quietly “So you all fought a monster and brought me back its magestone” Crowley said as the others concluded the story “Yes Sir” Tsukasa said and all of a sudden Crowley just started sobbing Ok even I know I was dramatic but this seems to be a new weirdness Tsukasa once more thought and he may have or have not zoned out during Crowley’s speech but he didn’t really care about it and he was hearing at least fragments of it about students, the dark mirror and stuff like that. “So Yuu I'm granting you the ability to be a student here” Crowley finally said and everyone was rightfully shocked by it with some more explaining done by Crowley Yuu and Grim became students in NRC and Yuu gaining the title of Prefect.

With some compliments from Ace and Deuce it was nice for Yuu to get this in Tsukasa’s opinion “Oh and Mr.Tenma since i’m still feeling generous would you as well like to be a student here” Crowley said with a smile on his face.

Tsukasa thought for a moment. Should I be a student …No I don’t deserve it, I don’t want to mess up again and lose everything. Ace, Deuce, Grim and Yuu are already friends with me and don’t know what I’ve done I rather not be a shrew up again beside who would still want to be around me

“Mr.Crowley thank you for the offer but I would like to stay as a Janitor please” Tsukasa said and while Crowley looked shocked he nodded quickly “I see alright then Mr.Tenma you can continue to be the school’s janitor”.

After even more chatting and Crowley talking about and giving the ghost camera to Yuu the group can finally leave and rest up but Tsukasa isn’t really that much tired but joins the others on the walk back.

“Ahhh I’m so thankful we didn’t get expelled” Ace said happily as the group walked down the hallway as Grim happily sang about finally being a student at Night Raven “Oh yeah what dorm are you three in?” Deuce asked “Oh well we called it Ramshackle Dorm but it's a good home we have right Yuu?” Tsukasa answered “Dust to the brink but we work with it” Yuu said with more teasing and comments from the group, Ace and Deuce finally left to go to Heartslabyul. “Hey Tsukasa, why do you still want to be a janitor?” Yuu asked Tsukasa “Yeah henchman you could have been a student with us” Grim followed up on Yuu’s question “Oh I just thought I could still do it besides I enjoy it really”  Tsukasa quickly answered , Yuu gave Tsukasa a funny look before shrugging and the three head towards Ramshackle to rest and begin their new lives.

The magic within pulsed lightly like a heartbeat as they walked to their dorm ready to begin Tsukasa’s new life

Tsukasa knows for a fact that Crowley doesn’t give a care about any of them in Ramshackle dorm when he went inside for the night which also mean that they may not get any extra clothing for him and Yuu so Tsukasa decided since he knows how to sew and all he can make clothing for him and Yuu if Yuu asks of course. After biding Yuu and Grim good night Tsukasa quietly got to work both cleaning some more of the dorm and to find any fabric, thread, or sewing needles, and with help from the ghost since they too were awake they help Tsukasa locate some faded fabrics in an array of colours in the rainbow along with some threads and needles. With that search as well Tsukasa alone found working scissors, with all this he thanked the ghosts and headed to his room.

With a candle courtesy of one ghost for his help with some cleaning Tsukasa got to work on a shirt, using a pale yellow in his new fabric collection he slightly made it oversized because he can't take any good measures in candle light nor a mannequin for better guides. With his design cut out and while he began the somewhat long process of sewing by hand he began thinking about something.

I do wish to see Riddle again he seems so nice or friendly  maybe if I see him again I should start a conversation with him-wait no I can’t just do that he’s probably busy with school or  his dorm, ahhhhhh  why must I have this darn crush with someone I only had two interactions with if I were to count during the orientation. Still though I wish I atleast can be with him talking works or-or hanging out with him  god just thinking about him is making me get all warm he probably doesn’t even care or know me much. Ahh just nevermind me I have Ace, Deuce, Grim and Yuu as company but....maybe I can see Riddle again.

 After a while as he was almost done the sewing he thought he heard a noise at the door.

That same night in another dorm……

If there’s one thing Riddle Rosehearts never thought he did during his years at Night Raven College is thinking about someone. That night as he reads papers from his dormmates since they broke the rules his mind kept drifting to one person: Tsukasa, who he met at orientation and had a small interaction with after school. For some reason that Riddle cannot comprehend, his chest gets all warm and even his face and he can’t even feel like yelling at the boy. 

Maybe he should have more interactions with Tsukasa to figure this out because if Riddle was honest… something about Tsukasa makes him feel drawn to him likes Riddle wants Tsukasa to be with him, have tea together or whatever he hears students in Heartslabyul-wait no what is Riddle thinking, rules matter above all he doesn’t need love he needs rulebreakers to be punished for all rules in Heartslabyul must be followed.

Well…an unbirthday party is going to happen soon, maybe he could……Yes perfect he can write a letter, he could invite Tsukasa to the party he can chat with him, be with him and- darn it he shouldn’t be thinking like that. After more thinking of what to say Riddle began to write the letter. It may or may not have ended the best and many papers going to waste. Finally he got one that he liked and headed to the kitchen to get tea (Only a specific type and what it must be) but then……

When Tsukasa heard the noise he thought it was nothing but then it just kept happening and Tsukasa couldn’t ignore it anymore even with his sewing in front of him. “Alright Alright i’m coming geez” Tsukasa puts down his sewing needle and cloth leaves his room and walks past his dormmates room being quiet.

 When Tsukasa reaches the door “Hey who is it”  “Tsukasa it’s Ace let me in” Tsukasa heard him say.

Tsukasa opens the door “I’m never returning to my dorm I’m staying in this dorm now” Ace said
