Grian had left the watchers. He didn't completely mean to, they were going to hurt him more, he had to leave. He found a portal in a small corner of code he hadn't seen before.
He passed out as he hit the ground hoping he would not be punished too severely for joining the world uninvited.
He woke up to noises all around him. There was walking and some conversation he strained to her but ultimately couldn't.
The voices got closer but stopped before they reached him.
He felt a hand feel for his pulse. He heard the person sigh of relief.
He slowly tried to open his eyes to see the person.
The person had green skin like a creeper and horns like a goat.
“Their awake X,” the goat guy called.
Another person presumably X came into Grians vision. He had a helmet on, you couldn’t see his eyes clearly, that’s when it clicked, a voidwalker. He invaded a voidwalkers world. He had been told they were extinct.
His eyes went wide as he realized and tried to speak only to be meant with a throat drier than the Sahara desert.
“I’m Xisuma,” Xisuma told him.
Grian recognized that name, from where, who? Wh, who who who who who who?
Mumbo Jumbo had told him that name, he was his admin, was he still there?
“Mumbo,” he croaked out,” s’he here?”
Xisuma hid any surprise well.
“How do you know Mumbo?”
Grian felt tears fall from his eyes, Mumbo was still alive. Mumbo wasn’t dead. The feeling of tears on his face was a strange feeling he hadn’t felt since when the Watchers had first taken him.
How did he know Mumbo? What did he say?
“Friend,” he croaked again feeling his throat tear.
The tears hadn’t stopped flowing as he asked,” please, Mumbo.”
Xisuma put something in the world chat, Grian couldn’t read it. It was common. His dried his tears with his free hand that wasn’t wrapped up.
Xisuma was still typing when Grian told him,”I’m sorry.”
He didn’t meet the voidwalker's eyes as he looked over.
“For what?” He asked tensely, he was an admin he needed to protect his players, and of course a watcher came in asking for one of his players by name.
The tears rolled down his face silently as he added,” Coming here, I couldn’t stay there.”
The voidwalker looked torn when there was a knock on the door.
“Come in!” Xisuma called out.
The familiar mustached man walked in the room, with the familiar confused look on his face. Mumbo met Grian eyes before rushing towards him.
“G,” he choked out,
Grian shook slightly as Mumbo pulled him into a hug wondering when the Watchers would take him back and who he was endangering being there
