~*you truly have been thoroughly corrupted little brother*~
‘The pained scream of the beautiful voice, the feel of strands desperately seeking to free itself from his grasp. The agonizing horror of being a prisoner in his own body. Glowing acid green chains held him down in the pool as he was forced to watch the fear in Entrapta's eyes.’
~*”NOW WE WILL ALL BURN IN THE FLAMES OF HELL TOGETHER!”*~
‘Horde Prime's words were like a dagger cutting his chest, aiming to extract his heart.
“BROTHER PLEASE DON’T DO THIS! PUNISH ME BUT DONT HARM ENTRAPTA! SHE'S UNDESERVING IN ALL OF THIS!” A desperate plea sprawls out his mouth. He didn't care what happened to him, but Entrapta. Oh Entrapta, she's suffered enough. Because of him. He was her poison that she could never rid.
~*Ah but how does one learn his lesson little brother, no. I will not release your little forbidden fruit, because you were the one to pick it. They will only know it to be your hand who held the knife to their planet's core. You made your choice, you sided with this pathetic fawn. Now perish with her*~
Hordak could helplessly watch. Watch as the planet cracks open, watch as the green flames burst through the ground. The tears of his once enemies.
~*It's all his fault*~
“You are the one who needs to go” Hordak heard a voice and turned to see the golden warrior step forward.
Shera.
She raised her sword as a blinding light burned his vision, forcing him to turn his head away and release Entrapta. Falling backwards he gazed up at the glowing woman, she glared down at him. Her sword pointed to his throat.
Horde prime grinned “go ahead, end me. You will end this sorry fool as well” he spoke smugly.
Adora ever so calm simply narrows her eyes “I know, I know your power of possession. The only way to kill a tyrant is to finish him permanently, if that means killing another tyrant then so be it. You both harmed many lives, destroyed homes and planets. You don't deserve mercy. Don't deserve freedom. You are a parasite that needs to be irradiated.
Her sword glows as she holds it high to the sky.
Horde prime simply growled.
Hordak, in the back of his mind. Trapped. Could do nothing but wait for the end to come.
~”worst of all, you hurt Entrapta. You will never harm another again you beast.”~
*Entrapta*
———
Hordak gasped for air as if he was under water. He sat upright and placed a hand to his chest, sweat beads down his forehead. He's alive? For how long?.
His red eyes wide with panic, his white hair in his face as a few strands covered his right eye.
“Hordak? Are you okay”
He looked down, lilac hair was wrapped around his waist as Entrapta lifted her head, she was half asleep.
He frowned, can't he ever stop being a burden to her?
“My apologies Entrapta, I didn't mean to wake you, I-I simply had. A negative dream was all” he lowered his ears.
Entrapta rubbed the sleep from her eyes and sat up, she gazed up at him only to frown “you mean you had a nightmare?” She held his hand. Her gloves were off so the touch was more intimate.
He averted his gaze “yes, I.” He sighs
“I had an alternate vision of what might have happened if sher- if Adora didn’t show mercy on me.” He frowned
Entrapta gently squeezed his hand “you showed her you are willing to be better, you may not deserve forgiveness but you are bettering yourself. You changed.” She smiled.
“But will the others see that? Adora saw my memories but the others did not, they still see the horde lord, the one who destroyed homes, the one who tormented them for years.” He sighs.
Entrapta wrapped her hair around his shoulders “but I'm sure they won't do anything cruel, they are the rebellion. They have morals, they aren't horde prime” she reassured.
“Let's hope .. but I did far too much wrong to be set free, I'm dreading tomorrow…”
“Hey, let's work on the name files for the clones, to distract you” Entrapta offered and grabbed her data pad, her hair wrapped around his waist still.
He sighed but allowed himself to be temporarily distracted.
*A few hours until I'm separated from her, they won't let me go off easily* his thoughts drowned him.
He leans close to Entrapta as he looks over the data pad. Starting at the time.
“A few more hours…” he muttered under his breath.
_ _ _
Hordak just finished getting ready in his horde uniform since it's the only thing that fits. His ears flicked when he heard Entrapta opened the tent flap to see 3 bright Moon guards outside their tent.
They looked at the two
“The princesses request you two come with us”
One of them held cuffs.
Hordak felt a dark pit in his stomach knowing that was meant for him. Hesitantly he held up his wrist as the guard walked over and cuffed him.
Entrapta got worried when she saw how willing Hordak accepted the cuffs “wait he's not gonna hurt anyone why are you cuffing him!” She demanded. Her hair fizzled in anger.
“He's a warlord, we are taking precautions” the guard spoke as they gestured to him to walk.
Entrapta's hair fizzled more “He doesn’t hurt anyone anymore! Let him go!” she demands, hoping her status as a princess would stop them but they paid no mind to her demands.
“Princess Entrapta, there are rules” General Juliet spoke calmly.
“We understand he's docile but it's precaution, nothing personal” she reassured the Dryl princess and side eyes the other guards holding Hordak “understand”
They looked away but nodded “yes general"
Entrapta looked at Hordak in worry but she looked at the ground and lowered her mask as she rubbed her hands together ”fine… just don't hurt him please.”
The guards nodded “of course” Juliet nodded reassuringly as they made their way to the castle.
Hordak on the other hand kept a stern expression but his ears were low as he walked, his fist clenched. He could do nothing more than imagine the death punishment he will receive.
*The worst is public execution.*
*I need to make a request and not allow Entrapta to watch, no matter what they choose. Hanging? Death to Beast Island? No, that's a light punishment. Possibly death by the burn of magic. Or drowning by the sea princess? Froze in ice by the ice princess. As a memory of their victory and the end of the tyrant? Possibly.
These princesses would get creative with their punishments, he's sure of it.*
They made their way to Bright Moon, then stopped in a large area as the guards section then off.
Hordak was placed in a larger area first.
They were placed in a holding room, Catra and other horde soldiers who were caught were there.
Cobalt glanced up. His eyes widened “Lord Hordak? Is that you” he asked hesitantly as if unsure if it was him or not.
Hordak simply frowned and lowered his ears for a moment.
He watches as the guards lead Entrapta to a different room.
General Juliet stepped forward “the princesses who took part in aiding the horde are assigned separate rooms. I understand you two are close but it's best if you are apart for now” with that she turned to enter the trail room.
Hordak's ears lowered even more. Separated from Entrapta.
This truly was his last moments.
The trial
“Why are we giving them a slap on the wrist? They harmed us for years!” Mermista slammed her fist down.
Glimmer sighs “I know Mermista, but they are Etherians too-”
“MOST! Are Etherian” she sneered
“The bastard who started it all isn't Etherian” she narrows her eyes.
Adora frowned “hey I'm not Etherian either but I call it my home” she countered
“Ya but you're not a tyrant are you?” Mermista rolled her eyes
Glimmer held herself together ”Enough you guys!” She slammed her staff down to silence the room.
“You may not like it, Mermista but he still lived on this planet and from what Adora says, called it his home. So he counts as an Etherian. Yes what the horde did was wrong and will be rightfully punished but we can't go to the extreme and banish them all, or else we be no better then the horde”
Mermista grumbled at that.
“We can't just let them off Scott free either”
Perfuma spoke up “maybe… maybe we can just… I don't know. Put them in a jail for awhile”
“What jail? Bright Moon doesn't have prisons” Frosta pointed out.
“Send them to Beast Island, that's what they did to others” Mermista waved her hand.
Micah narrows his eyes “I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemies… even if they once were out enemies, that place was a hell hole” he sighs “but they don't deserve an easy punishment either”.
“But some are worse than others, the normal soldiers can maybe do some cleaning up around, some community service but… Catra and Hordak. That's where our main focus is”
Adora frowned “they are the ones who did the most damage. Scorpia and Entrapta also did damage while the soldiers followed orders. So let's figure this out without yelling at each other?"
The others grumbled as the trial continued as they sectioned everyone based on rank and damage they caused.
Out of the trial room
Hordak wishes he didn't have super hearing, he can hear the princess arguing and deciding what to do with them all.
He dug his clawed fingers into his palm. His mind couldn't stop racing. He can hear the princesses argue his crimes..he heard a few names like scorpia and the soldiers, they might be getting a less harsher punishment, understandable.
His eyes glued to the ground until he heard something.
*“Entrapta nearly created the portal, let's just send her to clean up the fright zone*”
Hordak perks at the mention of Entrapta but remained reserved.
*”What about him? Send him to the frozen waste land”* Frosta suggested.
Hordak frowned, he doesn't do well in cold and the princesses knew that. A frozen death? That would be something.
He sighs.
He suddenly lifted his head when he saw the princesses enter the room, Queen Glimmer between them all, the boy and Adora at her side. King Micah looks down on the others.
Glimmer approached “Attention Horde member's, you know that you all took part in the war. She gazed at them all.
Some glared, others looked fearful.
Catra had her head down, her tail fluffed while Lonnie was comforting Kyle.
Glimmer sighs “for the foot soldiers you would be doing clean up duty as community service. While the force captains. You will take part in aiding to rebuild homes as a punishment, doesn't sound much but you will aid the public and rebuild what you destroyed” she spoke.
Grizzlor scoffed and spoke up “that's a generous punishment queen” he sneered, his tail flicked aggressively.
Cobalt glared at Grizzlor to not make things worse
Queen Glimmer narrows her eyes “oh it's not an easy punishment force captain Grizzlor. You will be with the public, we won't allow them to harm you but allow you to see exactly how your choices affect others. You will be limited in many things, job offers. Owning weapons. Housing.” She lists. Each one caused the horde to become more worry
Glimmer took notice, “This is the price you pay,” she said harshly.
Grizzlor scoffed.
As Glimmer addressed others she finally turned to Catra “Catra. You have done many wrong and some right. You nearly destroyed the world, caused many destruction, you sent Entrapta to beast island. Aided in bringing horde prime here and was the reason Salineas was destroyed. You and Hordak led the attack. But you also rescued me and aided us in the horde. But those small good deeds are still not enough to rid you of all your wrong deeds. You will be aiding in the clones and rebuilding Salineas.” She spoke ‘you will be limited to where you go, you can't own much land. You will be monitored closely and if you do anything that's against our regulations you will be punished. Is that understood?” She spoke.
Catra flicked her tail “whatever sparkles…”
Glimmer nodded and averted her eyes to Hordak.
Hordak can feel her attention on him
“And for the one who created the horde, destroying the scorpion kingdom, The one who caused a lot of damage and harm to the planet Etheria. Lord Hordak. Your crimes for starting the war. Building a portal, destroying Salineas and so much more. I can easily put you in prison for the rest of your life and that was a very high possibility but we finally decided on a punishment for you”
Hordak clenched his fist expecting to hear them say he was gonna be executed.
“You are to rebuild not only Salineas but to clean Beast Island, you are ONLY allowed in Dryl unless given permission by me and me alone to step out of Dryl’s walls. You can't own any weapon, can't build weapons. Anything you build will have to be approved by ME. You hold no rank anymore” she sighed
“Believe me this was the hardest choice because many people begged to see your head on a stake”
Hordak sighs “I suspect you approved of it as well?” He lowered his ears till they were down to his neck, nobody ever saw him look so distressed.
“All I ask is that you do not allow Entrapta in the execution room. She doesn't need to see that. But I understand. My charge is death” he shut his eyes, awaiting guards to take him to his impending doom.
That made the room silent
Until a voice spoke “Does he think we are gonna kill him?” Frosta spoke up in confusion.
Glimmer looked a bit taken back, glancing at Adora who frowned “hey look you did a lot of fucked up shit but you can't learn if you are dead?”
“I voted to send your ass away but I was out voted” Mermista grumbled.
Hordak was shocked by that “you… you aren't gonna dispose of me?”
Adora stepped forward “no, we aren't. That's not the rebellion. We aren't the Horde… or Horde prime” she placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder “we believe that learning from your mistakes is better than simply sending you off somewhere.”
Hordak wasn't sure how to react but when his mind caught up he looked at them “I am only allowed in Dryl's walls… does that mean I can be with Entrapta?” He asked, practically begged.
Adora smiled “We aren't that cruel to separate you two. But you two can't build anymore weapons and you need to send us a file of what you will be assigned to build as community service. You have skills that we need.”
Hordak couldn't believe what he was hearing, he was sure this must be a dream.
He frowned. “Is this real”
Glimmer sighs “yes..it is but don't think we gonna go by your word.” Glimmer held up a bracelet and put it around his wrist and tapped it with her fingers as a magic symbol appeared before disappearing ”this is a tracker. You are only allowed certain areas, you go out of those areas it would alert me and you would be brought back for another trail where you WILL be separated from Entrapta permanently. Am I clear?”
Hordak nodded “understood”
“Good cause this is going on the other horde soldiers as well. And don't think of taking it off it will burn you if you try” she warns before turning to walk to the others
Hordak sees the door open and hair rushed out to grab Hordak, he grunted when he was pulled away while Entrapta wrapped her hair around his body and hugged him tightly. “THEY SAID THEY WONT KILL YOU!!! I told you it would work out!” She grinned as she nuzzled her cheek on his chest “oh also I was assigned to aid the clones so that's part of my community service” she lifted her data pad to show her new file.
Hordak perks up at that “am I allowed to aid you? They… they need another clone to help them through the stages”
Entrapta gasped “oh yes!” She turned to Adora “Hey Adora! Hordak requests to help with the clones!”
Adora turned her head, surprised he offered and wasn't told “uh..okay. S-Sure. Just… no rebelling” she agreed.
“Of course, you have my word” Hordak bows his head.
Adora looked a bit awkward but simply nodded “alright then”
Entrapta on the other hand used her hair as cover as she pecked his cheek “I found some blue hair dye. Let's get you back to how you were” she whispered, a large smirk on her face
Hordak couldn't control a blush that brightened his pale white face.
He smiled and held Entrapta's hand “that would be helpful”
He then remembered something and looks at queen glimmer “I have a request”
Glimmer looks over “What type of request?”
Hordak hesitated “I… I have a condition. I need aid to move around. My armor wasn't just for war but to aid me. The only reason I didn't need it in the velvet glove was because horde prime was giving me a liquid supplement. I was still in a lot of pain but it was manageable but I request to remake a suit but not like my armor but to aid my defect…” he was hesitant as he spoke. He was clearly uncomfortable but he needed the armor he can barely move these past few days, the possession didn't help at all and in fact worsened his pain.
A few horde soldiers and princesses gasped.
“Armor aid?”
“That's what the armor was for?”
“I heard rumors but never thought to be true”
He heard many whispers and mutters from his ex soldiers and force captains but paid no mind.
He felt vulnerable but at the moment he knew none would use it against him anymore, his secret was out and he didn't care for the moment.
Glimmer hesitated before sighing “Aliright fine. But send me the blueprint and I'll see if it would be approved or not.”
Hordak was relieved she agreed “Thank you Queen Glimmer. It's all I requested” he turned back to Entrapta who couldn't stop grinning
“Did you hear Scorpia also has community service? She got clean up duty and is rebuilding a few towns” Entrapta went on to other things.
Hordak simply smiled as he listened to Entrapta talk. But the only thing on his mind was that he wasn't dying. And that he can be with Entrapta.
That's all he asks for…
