A Day at the Daycare

Work Text:

Ruin

Ruin sat on the chair behind the counter in the daycare, the kids had just been put to sleep, and Ruin needed to work on Gator’s clothes. Well… he needed to work on figuring out what materials he would need and how much of it he would need. Where he would get the fabric, he already knew, just an interdimension fabric shop. Ruin pulled his tablet out from a drawer, making sure the brightness was at its lowest setting, that way he wouldn't wake up the kids with the light.

“Whatcha doin’?” Moonlight asked as he yawned, stretching his arms above his head.

“I’m just jotting down some notes about what materials I’ll need for Gator’s outfits.”

“You’re making them?”

“Yeah, I like sewing anyways, it’s relaxing.” Ruin began to work on notes.

“Ah, I see, I’m gonna take a nap, it’s been a long day with the kids.”

“Yeah, I agree,” Ruin watched as Moonlight walked over to where the kids were sleeping, sitting down on a beanbag and beginning his nap. Ruin continued to his notes, he’d need a few yards of alligator patterned fabric for the pants, some purple fabric for the gloves, and a lot of string. He’d also need some fabric to make some pajamas as well. The celestial bot began to make small doodles in addition to his notes, just what Gator would look like with the clothes. And with his upgrades, Gator had always been his type, what could he say? He liked men that were bigger than him, he liked when Gator took control, even if it made him extremely flustered,

He liked how Gator always made sure he was comfortable and always made sure that he was doing okay. He’d noticed that Gator had gotten into the habit of making sure that he was okay from everything that had happened, from the virus in their home dimension, to the most recent that had happened with Afton. But it was almost always how he was doing mentally, and- ah shit. His little doodles of his lover had gotten a bit spicey, he made sure to quickly delete them, he didn’t need the others or Gator seeing that. Or even worse, a kid seeing it, he would be in so much trouble if a kid saw it. Maybe he should take a nap as well, it’d be good for him. Ruin put the tablet back inside the drawer, making sure it was turned off. He could take a nap at the desk, it would be fine.

~~~~~~~~~~~~+~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Hey,” Ruin felt a hand on his shoulder shake him, the action waking him up.
“ungh?” Ruin groaned in annoyance and confusion, the hand that had woke him was warm, and big. The voice was deep and gravely.
“Hey, you awake?”
“Who?” Ruin squinted as the bright light filled his vision, blinding him. “The light is bright.” The unfamiliar person laughed at that, he knew that laugh.
“Caíman?”
“Yes, it’s me ‘Clipse.” Ruin sat up, rubbing his eyes, yawning.
“How long have I been asleep?”
“According to Moonlight, since the kids were put down for nap time, and the daycare is closed now. The whole pizzaplex is closed now. I woke you up so you could actually fall asleep later.”
“Thank you for that, hon.” Ruin pressed a lazy kiss to Gator’s arm.
“Still a bit tired?”
“Yeah.”
“Well stand up doofus! You aren’t gonna get anymore awake by just sitting there.” Gator grabbed Ruin’s hands and pulled him up and off the chair, Ruin stumbled around, not expecting Gator to do that.
“Woah!”
“Sorry, too sudden?”
“VERY sudden, Gator.” Ruin adjusted himself to stand up right, but making sure not to let go of his lover’s hands. He didn’t want to let go of his hands, they were nice and warm, just the thought of his hands would send shivers down the celestial bot's spine.
“You there, dude?” Gator asked, breaking Ruin from his thoughts.
“Hm?”
“Havin’ some trouble focusing?” Ruin just gave a small hum in response, the action making Gator roll his eyes, “Come on, ‘Clipse. Let’s go back to the security office and play some games, okay?” Gator began to pull Ruin out of the daycare with him, the celestial bot accepting the action.
“If you say so, love.” Ruin’s tail swished side to side, almost in sync with Gator’s. He let his fingers intertwine with his lover’s, he never wanted to let go, ever. Never in a million years would he let go of his lover, never. And he would repeat that in his head over and over again until it was all he could think about, he would never let go. He could never leave, he could never go. There was no universe where they would leave each other, never in the thousands of dimensions, would there be a dimension where they didn’t end up with each other.
